A place in my house where I can relax is my kitchen. It's quite large and it's connected to the family room so I can play soft relaxing piano music on the TV while I bake and baking for me is anxiety relief so during exam periods you will often find me in the kitchen fostering up a sweet treat. I love the meticulous tasks of measuring ingredients and mixing for a certain amount of time and boiling to certain temperatures. I think the science of baking is what interests me so much and the kitchen is the perfect environment to do it in. It has all the amenities I need to create whatever my mind wants to. My family also has a large sweet tooth so making desserts for them and making them happy is another reason why being in the kitchen and baking is so rewarding for me. So whenever I'm in the kitchen I truly feel relaxed, it acts as my safe place and I also love being organized so being able to organize all of the pots and pans in specific cabinets and all of my tools and drawers it also adds to the relaxing atmosphere that is the kitchen and there's always a pleasant aroma throughout the room which adds to the experience in my opinion.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The most favorite place or the room in my home is living room itself because we have some comfy sofas and TV in the front room. I always feel like coming home whenever I am sitting in the living room and watching TV because TV programs always help me to get relaxed and I always watch Netflix. Moreover you can see a lot of different programs in OTT platforms where we can chill and have fun. I usually watch fun and drama kind of programs but usually I tend to go for horror and thriller just for a change as we can say. Living room creates a special vibe because it's the first room when you are entering into the house and everyone has an access to it. It feels like I am sitting around everyone. I feel like it's a part of getting mingled with everyone so I don't get cornered to a room or my room particularly. I can see whoever is coming into my house, I can talk with them, I can have some conversation with them. I can play with the children coming to my house when I am in the living room. Living room itself feels like a very special place for me and there are a lot of photos.

My favorite room in my house where I like to relax has to be my bedroom. It is located far away from the main entrance right across the hallway. It is quite large and it has huge drapes covering the windows which gives me an excellent view of all the buildings in the surrounding park. My room consists of at least 2-3 scented candles all the time. That's because I really love how the aroma flourishes through the room and makes me feel quite relaxed and calm. I also like to play music in the background. My room also consists of a mini refrigerator where I find snacks and juices kept there so if I'm hungry at like 3am I just grab a snack and eat. It is also like a museum of all my memories. I have a lot of pictures placed on the wall. I have a whole board with posters for my favorite singers and then I have a little book collection as well in the corner and the opposite end I have all my bags and all my purses displayed on the wall. This is the one place I would always go to to relax and keep calm.
