Recently, I had imagined that I was a dragon. This rooted from the fact that I work with children and these children give me ideas such as these. They are imaginative and playful. So one of those children had asked me, what would you do if you were a dragon? So in my free time, I decided to actually conceptualize it. It seems that if I were a dragon, I'd be purple in color with a lot of scales, pointy, sharp fangs and long, long hair. Hair might not be common for a dragon, but I would like to have hair of purple color too, matching my skin tone. In terms of power and skill, I would possess fire breathing abilities, water bending abilities, but not earth bending abilities because I'm not really interested in that. These would help me defeat all enemies, especially saviors such as knights who want to kidnap the princess in the castle that I've been keeping. This is primarily because they need the treasure that I've been holding and I would not like them to do so because I would like to keep the treasure for myself. The treasures include various anime and movies and underrated songs. These might not be for everyone and that's because no one knows about my treasure. That's all.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I remember during my school days I was once pulled out of a team which was supposed to participate in a flower exhibition. As a result I had to create my own presentation using my imagination. I ended up collecting locally available flowers and leaves and thought up about a scenario which would best put together my collection of flora and fauna. The resulting flower arrangement was appreciated unexpectedly by all in one. The principal at that time walked up to me and appreciated me for my vivid imagination and also asked some interesting follow-up questions which made me, which actually made me feel reassured about the step I had taken. I ended up winning the first prize in the competition unexpectedly. I was surprised because the team I was part of earlier ended up pretty low on the charts. It was a learning experience.

Follow up questions

How did you feel when you were pulled out of the team?
Initially, I felt disappointed and anxious about having to create something on my own. However, as I started to work on my presentation, my feelings shifted to excitement and determination to prove myself.

What inspired your flower arrangement design?
I drew inspiration from the natural beauty around me. I wanted to create a scenario that highlighted the unique characteristics of each flower and leaf, so I envisioned a small garden scene that would showcase their colors and textures harmoniously.

How has this experience influenced your creativity since then?
This experience taught me the value of thinking outside the box and trusting my imagination. It encouraged me to embrace creative challenges in other areas of my life, whether in academics or personal projects, and to always look for innovative solutions.

So, while doing the assessment, I have to imagine what kind of brace I have to give them, how the trim lines will be and how it's gonna look like and how length, width, everything I have to imagine because every body is different and every brace is different. There is nothing like you have made before. Yes, basics are similar for everything, every brace, but we all are different, our bodies are different and our conditions are different, so yes, I have to use a lot of imagination in that and when we are doing the physical assessment, I imagine in my brain, then I'll draw it on the paper and that will be the reference point for my technicians to understand what I imagine for my patient and then they fabricate it accordingly. And I saw some of the clinicians who doesn't use their imagination and go for the standard one for every patient and I think that's not going to work for me. Band 6-7

I'd like to describe a time when I used my imagination. This was around two years ago, when I was actually studying at my college, which is situated in Mysore, a rich city, sort of heritage, located in southern part of India. The imagination that I had was regarding a website that can actually take the input of any license plate number of any vehicle, and when you click enter, it should just show up the list of details of that particular vehicle, like who the owner is and where is the registration that has been done, etc. This imagination was just a wild thought that I had during one of the classes. Then, later, during that semester, I actually was assigned a project, which had a similar task, so I thought, why not try this idea, right? So, I collected information regarding it, and I went through all the resources, and I found out that there are very few applications that do this. So, I thought, why not try this, and had a little bit of innovation over there, so that it becomes unique. And I took help of my friend, who was actually very good at these kind of things, and we implemented it, and we rolled it out, and it was actually one of the best sites. And I'm very proud of myself, and I'm actually satisfied also with the impact that it has really had on people.

Band 6-7

The most important time where I used my imagination was while I was choreographing a dance. I'm a dancer and I started dancing at a very young age of 7. And today I'm at the level where I can choreograph an entire dance. I imagined this dance long ago and the most challenging part for this was to find the music. And also bringing synchronization into the people and as well as many kids were involved into this. Looking at the imagination, we had to think about the makeup, the hairstyle, as well as costumes for everybody. Finding costumes for children was a task as it had a lot of intricate designs which we would need. And I had a specific thing in mind and to search for the exact color as well as the combination took a while. It feels good, extremely good, especially when people appreciated me. I did feel I was on cloud nine after finishing the entire show. The imagination had me have a critical thinking of this. I had to even think about the synchronization and bring this into a perfect act. I had to bring it and make it a disciplinary act and make everybody religiously follow it and practice on and on. Some people used to bunk classes and some had dedication. But to bring everybody under the nutshell and make them rigorously practice, this was a real challenge apart from finding the music. I had to find photographers to also give me the exact photos so that we could make a banner out of it and attract more audience. We had to even print banners to welcome chief guests and other parents into this.

I ended up winning the first prize in the competition unexpectedly. I was surprised because the team I was part of earlier ended up pretty low on the charts. It was a learning experience.

Band 6-7

I would start that imagination is a very powerful thing because it usually works for me. Sometimes I get very much stressed and stressed about exams and my future. So recently I was studying for an exam and I thought I might fail it because the subject was very much harder. Then I thought what should I do right now. Then I started by listening some music. I just closed my eyes and started thinking that how I wrote my paper fluently and I just aced the exam. After that I slept for like 10 to 20 minutes. It was a nap. After I woke up I felt very fresh, freshen up and very much energetic. It cleared my mental blockage as well. Then I started to prepare for the exam from where I stopped it. After that the next very next day when I was in the exam hall, I remembered the same thing about the imagination I did like acing my exam and writing the paper very fluently without any mistakes. After some time I did very well in the exams as well. But when I got the result, I was pretty shocked because the expectations I had for the marks, it was really, it really achieved my expectations from the imagination. And also I would say that I felt very relaxed thinking that there is something that if you want to achieve, you can rather imagine it achieving because these days there is a thing called vision board where you learn it and you get to know what you are going to get in life. So it certainly works for me.

Band 6-7

Usually imaginations are far different from dreams and that means that dreams are something which could happen when we sleep or when we close our eyes and when we get eternally asleep but imaginations are something that we can create or think about something in a more specific or in an innovative way and that's known as imagination and the best time on my life that I have my best imagination or the imagination that I've been gone into was during my lecture times when the lecture will be going on I'll be like thinking and imagining what if we could do that or what if we did that and I'll be thinking on my own and that's probably a good creative way of thinking as if the problems or if the time goes in a wrong way we can just have the plan B as per our imagination and we can proceed with that and also at the same time I feel that imagination is always a key role for creating innovative stuff or innovating things and imagination helps us to learn the ropes that means we can have a steady background or like we can start a foundation learning in a simple way or in a simple trick as per our imagination needs and also at this same time we need to know that imagination or not the only thing which we should dream of and let go imagination or the key frame to get our way to get our problem or way to get success and that's known as imagination

Band 6-7

Imagination is the greatest gift given by God to us. So, we generally try to imagine the things which might have happened or which could happen in future. So, I generally imagine my goals to fulfill and how to get fulfilled in what way to reach my goals. So, coming to the imagination, so it happened somewhere in my school days. So, somewhere in my school days, somewhere around like class 8th or so, there was a painting competition which was held. I was unaware of that competition as it was absent on the day when it was announced and I tried to find out on the day of the competition. But the thing is like I don't have any of the painting equipments or the required materials with me. So, but and I have given them my name just on the day of the competition. So, then I have borrowed few of the equipments and the painting stuff from my teachers as well as from my other friends and they have asked me to draw any kind of like imaginary art. So, as I was very particular and I like to visit places, so I already travelled to different places. So, I have imagined myself, I went to Taj Mahal at night because generally Taj Mahal is not allowed post 6.30. But I have imagined, I went somewhere around the midnight and it was full of gloom, of dark, there were a lot of lights which used to illuminate.

Band 6-7

For me, I think imagination, so creating stories, I used to do that a lot when I was a child and I was an avid reader, I used to read a lot of books, especially mystery books and I think that gave me a strong sense of visualization, so we weren't really allowed to read any books during our way to the school and we used to always travel by the school bus, now just to pass time, I would create stories, add elements or characters that I had read or watched on television and then I used to share these stories with my friends, so it had come to a time when bus time was almost like story time for all my friends and all the bus mates that I had and I think that really helped me to build communication skills because I used to narrate stories in English and after a point of time, it was like a walk in the park because I was doing it so frequently and I hadn't even realized that it was done regularly by me, so because I used to share these stories to my friends, I remember that there was also a time when I thought that I could become a writer and thanks to my imagination skills.
