Describe a time when you used your imagination.: IELTS Speaking Cue Card

so I would like to talk about an incident when I used my imagination I presented a poster during one of the competitions at college it was about how can you present on a chart paper that over health is the overall health that means whatever we eat does reflect on our health so what I did I took five minutes if we have we were given only with you were given only I think 30 minutes or 45 minutes to present that poster so what I did I took five minutes and planned everything so as I have attended some of the art classes back in my schools I came up with an idea that I would do I would do an sprinkle sprinkling I would use sprinkling technique and sprinkle the colors all around the chart paper with a cutting of tooth paper in the between so the central part will be only white and the colors will be all around that and I will write a slogan in between that non colored part so I wrote over health is the overall health and we need to preserve it and it stood me at second position at the event which made me feel really proud of myself and it was really funny and I could come up with an idea like that in a very short period of time which made me think that yes I should participate in such competitions even more and it would boost my confidence and

Recently, I had imagined that I was a dragon. This rooted from the fact that I work with children and these children give me ideas such as these. They are imaginative and playful. So one of those children had asked me, what would you do if you were a dragon? So in my free time, I decided to actually conceptualize it. It seems that if I were a dragon, I'd be purple in color with a lot of scales, pointy, sharp fangs and long, long hair. Hair might not be common for a dragon, but I would like to have hair of purple color too, matching my skin tone. In terms of power and skill, I would possess fire breathing abilities, water bending abilities, but not earth bending abilities because I'm not really interested in that. These would help me defeat all enemies, especially saviors such as knights who want to kidnap the princess in the castle that I've been keeping. This is primarily because they need the treasure that I've been holding and I would not like them to do so because I would like to keep the treasure for myself. The treasures include various anime and movies and underrated songs. These might not be for everyone and that's because no one knows about my treasure. That's all.

Well, since my childhood to this present time, I have imagined countless times in my life, although sometimes my experience was not up to the mark, but majority time I was over the moon. However, today I would like to talk about a time when I used my imagination. I vividly remember as I am a fond of drawing, I had a chance to take part in one of my school competitions. As a younger, I was very keen to draw a sketch in school, I was very curious to take part in it. Once our school management arranged a drawing competition in which I took part in, but the theme was very unique, they told that the drawing topic will be random and on the spot you have to think about what you are about to draw on your sketch paper. Initially, it was very difficult for me because I didn't have a clue what to draw, but after taking some time, I imagined a picture in my mind of a mountain, flying birds, flowing a river and the rising sun. It was a very beautiful picture and I drew it on the sketch paper. After I completed the drawing, my teachers and principal were over the moon and I felt very jubilant.

So, when I had the story writing in exam, there was a picture given in the exam and a man was sitting near a dog, so I was asked to write a story about it. So I used my imagination there and created a very beautiful story where a man named Rakesh and his dog were very beautiful friends, they were miscellaneous and they cared very much for each other. So, this was the time when I used my imagination and I created a very wonderful story using my imagination and it was such a wonderful story that it was such a pitiable story that everyone praised me and I really feel generous about that. So, after that, I really feel like my imagination, my mind has a power in it and everything that comes with it is really powerful because everything my imagination creates, leaves me in a wonder stage, like how did I come up with such a solution, such a beautiful picture, beautiful scripted and how I can see through my inner eyes what I am writing, so it's really great and I like to share this experience because I think it gives me inner joy, which is I cannot explain in two words, so that's it.

I used my imagination when I was in 6th standard so that was when I thought about something really hard and I used my imagination in a food gathering competition which was conducted in my school for Children's Day so I thought of a different design for which I imagined so I shared it with my friends then we all together made my imagination come into life so we carved a watermelon in the shape of a monkey so it's a little bit funny but we enjoyed a lot by doing it and I think that's my greatest imagination that came into life

Well, it was during my college days where I really used my creativity and imagination to do something good to people. We used to have hackathons in our colleges and I really wanted to participate in one but I didn't know what to, what idea to put myself in. So I then decided, it was in time where COVID was really on the high and numerous people were being affected all over the world. So I was thinking what if we make a drone which contactless, sanitizes the entire room and also make sure no one, no manpower is needed. So me along with my team started coming up with an idea to make a sanitization drone which only needs a remote to be controlled with. So it will, and we had a time of one week. So my team, we dedicated our days to invest in terms of money, in terms of time, in terms of creativity to build this drone and attach a bottle to it, add a few chemicals and connect it through antennas to a remote where we really, in which what was my imagination came to reality thanks to my team and the dedication that they put in. And we demonstrated it in front of the judges on the final day of hackathon and I'm very proud of it when my team got selected and got prized with second of the team of 90 teams and I'm really happy that my imagination got into reality.

I used to imagine while writing the stories, it gives an interesting plot to my stories. and boost our thinking capacities and I'll try to stay positive. I'll hardly speak for like 3-5 seconds.
