One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I'm gonna share about the most expensive hobby which I can't pursue daily. It is adventure. I just love doing adventure. I love going on hikes and skydiving, bungee jumping and many other adventure sports. It is very lavish and almost impossible for a middle class to pursue in his daily life because it is very expensive because of its equipments, risks involved in that adventure and the need of highly trained manpower in that particular sort of adventure thing. For an example, if we take skydiving, it involves a plane, a trainer who will jump with you and a cameraman who will record you. So airways is one of the most expensive source of transportation but I still wish to pursue it because it gives you that adrenaline rush and makes you feel that you are living. And for an instance, while you are skydiving, you feel like you are flying like a bird as you reach your terminal velocity and you feel living.

The expensive hobby that I see daily in my life is swimming. Why I am considering it as an expensive hobby? The initial investment is huge in terms of buying swimsuit and goggles, the nose pin and also the pair of swimsuits. Considering the initial investment and also daily we need to pay the hourly rate. For example, for one hour if I want to swim, I need to pay 200 rupees as a hourly rate charges. So because of that I consider swimming as an expensive sport in my life. Although I consider it as an expensive sport but it has so many advantages. If we swim daily, we will be very fit and we will be able to burn out the calories very easily. And swimming is considered as one of the risk-free sports. You will not be getting injury as like other sports that we play. For example, cricket, football, these are very injury prone sports. But unlike those, swimming is very injury-free sports in my point of view.

An expensive hobby that I can't pursue daily would definitely be making a scrapbook of polaroids. Firstly, this hobby could be quite expensive because the polaroid camera itself costs about 10k. Although, I do have a polaroid camera, I did buy it with my savings. But to pursue this hobby daily would be quite time consuming as the polaroid films itself also again secondly cost around 1000rs for a pack of 10 films. And if I do get a good shot, I always have to test the angles and it's a lot of hard work that goes into it and lastly, this hobby would be quite expensive as well because to get the perfect picture, it takes around 2-3 tries. Although it's quite an expensive hobby, I would say that this is something I wish I could do everyday because I love collecting a lot of memories and polaroids are like instant pictures. It's quite different from the ones we take on our phones which is there digitally, it's not there physically in your memory box or something you want to collect or feel the presence of it.

Band 6-7

So one hobby that is very expensive in case of mine and which I cannot pursue on a daily basis is the painting which I love to do. Despite of the fact that I like doing painting, it is very expensive to get paints and to get the canvas that I need. It will cost me more than 500 rupees for one sketch. So since I started my career just few months before and I am not making much of money, it is bit difficult for me to get the canvas and other stuffs that I need for painting. Especially the paints are becoming more and more costlier day by day. So if you are looking at the price 10 years before and the price now, we could see a huge difference and I could say it just jet hiked from the starting. So for me it is bit difficult to find the money for pursuing my hobby. But on the other hand, I at least try to buy stuffs once in a month and make sure that I am not away from the, I am not staying away from my ability to draw and my painting.

Band 6-7

I have pursued a lot of hobbies in my life but today I am going to talk about one of the hobbies that I really enjoyed and that was cricket. Cricket was something that was really close to me. I felt emotion and truly connected to it because of certain reasons like I used to watch it when I was a kid. Apart from that I started going to the academy when I was 13 years old. I was the captain of the team. I played there approximately around 6 to 7 months. Furthermore, I was also a fast bowler but it was an expensive hobby for me because I got a lot of injuries. I felt a knee injury during that particular period of time as a result of which I had to go under a surgery. Moreover, you need to buy a lot of equipment related to your cricket like bat which is quite expensive. You can't afford just a simple bat which is made of wood but it should be a leather bat which cost around 7,000 to 8,000 rupees. Apart from that you need to pay out for the refreshments, your kit bag and other factors also affects it. So it was one of the decision that I had to move on because my financial status was not really good during that particular period of time. I had to concern about my family reasons. So I decided to move on from it though I still feel connected to it because at the end of the day you can't remove your hobbies out. One of my favorite player during that particular period of time was Virat Kohli. He is one of the best world cricketers out of there. He plays cricket really well. He is known as the master class player of this country. Apart from that I used to admire one of the players. His name was Yuvraj Singh. I used to portray him a lot during that particular period of time. I was someone who was very enthusiastic about it. However, you just can't be certain about certain factors and

The expensive hobby that I have been in completely love in is flying private jets. I have always admired flying since childhood to obtain my non-commercial pilot license. It was such a significant dream for me to achieve since childhood. I always admired flying but due to the financial conditions I was raised in I was not able to achieve it. I enjoy flying as it brings me joy and thrill. The whole experience is so enigmatic. Furtherly flying gets me to such a high that I experience dopamine and serotonin elevating experience. Flying has been such a great time that I spend myself alone to know myself more. Additionally it helped me cope up with my social anxiety and fears. Moreover flying has been so expensive so I cannot afford it anyway.

Band 6-7

I have always been wanting to drive in morning. I just want to have a car in my garden area and I can go buy it everywhere wherever I want but the issue is that I do not have a car and I saw my favorite celebrity doing it doing like they also have this expensive hobby but I cannot afford the car right now so I cannot pursue this expensive hobby. That's all about me. I think I should leave this hobby and should started pursuing something else instead of this.

Band 6-7

My hobby has always been to collect sneakers and I think this is something that I developed very recently. I was never that enthusiastic about shoes and footwear but then recently following the social media trends that there are, I am pretty interested in buying sneakers. Not that I wear any of them daily but they do come in handy for a few special occasions. I cannot pursue it daily because they are pretty expensive. The ones from reputed brands like Nike and Puma cost a lot. And they do cost that much because they are built with expensive materials. They are not the regular shoes that we use on a daily basis and they do demand that kind of money even for the brand image that they create in front of others. It is also a social marketing strategy which brands utilize to inflate their costs and sell a product for more money than what it is worth.

Band 6-7

Yeah, one of my expensive hobbies is baking cake. It is expensive because all the ingredients are difficult to get in my place. I usually go to city to purchase things and I depend on imported items rather than Indian made because if you are using such things the cake will be more delicious. So the expense is high and this is a crazy hobby I know because it can turn you ill because more sugar products and artificial products is used in baking a cake. But I had a venture started during COVID period of a homemade cake venture where I sell my homemade cakes and I had a lot of customers. People really love buying my cake and I am so proud of that and it has become a passion for me. I spend my free time baking either dessert or cupcakes or cookies. I really love the smell of baking, the melting of butter, the oil and all-purpose flour mixing together. All these are fun for me but my parents used to remind me that it is very expensive if you are not selling it. Sometimes I eat it myself or I give it to my friends or my neighbors. Anyhow, I wish to continue this hobby even though it's expensive.

Band 6-7

It is quite important for everyone to possess at least one or two hobbies in their lives as day by day our lives are becoming more busy and everyone is becoming work oriented. So it is necessary to possess at least one hobby so that we can get to spend some leisure time with not only our family members, friends and relatives but also with our own self. Additionally, I believe that hobbies also trigger the creative part in our brain which is responsible for the release of endorphins as well as certain happy hormones and which leads to being satisfied and also being happy with whatever you are doing. So my expensive hobby is, the expensive hobby that I would like to talk about is adventure sports. I love to do all sorts of adventure sports like zip lining, bungee jumping, skydiving and all the other different sorts of sports but these adventure sports, any of it, you pick any of the adventure sports and it is expensive. I believe it is expensive because it requires certain type of infrastructure as well as some equipments which are really costly and additionally it also, moreover it also requires a place where you can perform all these activities and a large area is required for the same. So these activities are quite expensive and of course, no one can perform any of this activity on a regular basis like not even, you cannot go twice or thrice in a year for scuba diving or skydiving, bungee jumping etc. But everyone can at least try and save some money. Like I will, I am planning on trying some money and go for at least one adventure sports per year. It is a sort of my dream to earn that much that I can pursue my expenses.

Band 6-7

My favorite hobby is dance. The dance form that I enjoy doing is the Indian classical form of dance known as Khatak. So it's difficult for me to pursue Khatak because I run short of time as I am a college graduate and my priority right now is to make a career for which I am doing an internship and I need to look after my home course as well. So I don't get enough time to practice Khatak or go to Khatak classes. Also I would say it's kind of expensive to spend on classes because on certain days these classes happen only once a week and probably if one of those days I am busy at work and I can't attend them then I'm losing the money that I've paid as fees in that class because as we do not pay fees on a session basis but mostly on a monthly basis. So if I'm missing a session there's no recouping for that session as well. And I would say I want to pursue Khatak because it makes me happy as I said it's my hobby and I started learning Khatak at the age of 6 and then I discontinued because of my studies during school and then I again joined back in my fourth year. So Khatak has like seven levels and I've given like two of them already. I'm right now trying to, I'm fighting to pursue my third one but I'm not really sure because time's expensive I would say. And for Khatak, why I choose Khatak it's because it's a very expressive form of dance and it's a lot of footwork so I think it's also a good physical activity and the music, the taal that we listen to while dancing helps me think better, gives me better clarity while thinking and soothes my mind.
