GMAT Exam 2024: Dates, Fees, Results, Syllabus & Registration

• GMAT, or Graduate Management Admission Test, is a computer-adaptive test. 
• The GMAT exam is owned and operated by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). 
• The test goes on for 2 hours and 15 minutes long (with one optional 10-minute break)
• GMAT exam tests three skills: 
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Data Insights
• It is offered in two modes: online (at home) and offline.

• GMAT is currently priced at USD 300 or INR 25,040 (may vary) for the at-home version. 
• The GMAT fee for testing at the centre is USD 275 or INR 22,953 (may vary).
• You can reschedule the dates if necessary. However, there’s a fee involved. 
• The charges for rescheduling may vary depending on when you request it.
• You can also cancel the test if you cannot appear on the scheduled date. 
• Your fee will be refunded, but the refund amount depends on when you cancel.
• You should cancel/reschedule at least 60 days before the test for minimal charges and a maximum refund. 

• The GMAT displays an official result of all your scores as soon as you complete the test.
• The new GMAT Focus Edition releases scores in 3-5 business days. 
• You will receive an email notification once it’s announced. 
• The GMAT Score Report contains a score of individual sections on a fixed scale and a percentile ranking.
• It will also include your details, such as your GMAT ID, exam date, and registration number. 
• GMAT results are valid for five years from your test date. 
• You can send your GMAT exam results to universities to up to 5 universities free of charge. The steps differ based on the mode of your exam. 
• If you have taken the GMAT online, you’ll receive an email notification from MBA.com once your report is available. 
• You can select the receivers through the link provided. 
• If you’re taking the GMAT at the test centre, you can select the receivers before you start the exam.

• GMAT Exam awards a score based on your performance in the 3 modules. 
• The score range of the GMAT Focus edition is 205-805.
• All total score values end in a 5. (example: 225, 355, 425 etc.) 
• Each section ranges from 60-90 in scores. 
• You will be scored in an interval of 10. 
• The new version of GMAT penalises unanswered questions. 
• It’s essential to complete all sections of the exam. It’s best not to leave any section of the GMAT incomplete.

• GMAT exam registration is a simple process that can be completed in three methods:

• To register online, follow the below steps. 
  • Visit the official website of GMAT
  • Create your account by filling in your details 
  • Verify your details and submit it
  • Choose your nearest test centre and select a date
  • If you choose the at-home version, you will need to select a time slot 
  • Pay the registration fee and complete the registration

• If you wish to appear for the GMAT exam, you must be at least 18. 
• There’s no upper limit when it comes to age. 
• GMAC has not set any other eligibility requirement. 
• GMAT scores are usually needed for business school applications. 
• Typically, GMAT test takers are undergraduate students with two years of work experience.

• The new GMAT contains 3 modules: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights.
