In India, IDP Education oversees the administration of all IELTS exams. While the cost of the IELTS examination remains consistent globally, there are variations in prices from one country to another.

 

IELTS IDP recently updated their IELTS exam fee in India for all types of exams. The IELTS fee for 2024 has now been revised to INR 17,000, up from 16,250.

Cancel Your Exam Online

You can cancel your IELTS Exam online through IELTS IDP INDIA website.

Cancelling Exam at least 5 weeks before your exam date.

You will get a full refund and 25% Admin Charge will be deducted from your exam fee.

Cancelling Exam less than 5 weeks before your exam date.

If you cancel your exam date less than 5 weeks before you exam then, no refund is provided.

 

Applicants, whether registered for the IELTS Academic or General Training test, can cancel their test registration before the scheduled test date. 

 

To initiate the cancellation process, students can access the official IDP IELTS website and log in to the 'Test Taker' portal using their provided username and password. 

 

Once logged in, they can submit a cancellation request and any required supporting documents. This procedure ensures a straightforward process for test registration cancellation.

 

Refund Policy

If you cancel your IELTS application more than five weeks before the scheduled test date, you will be eligible for a refund. However, a 25% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund.

If the cancellation occurs less than five weeks before the test date, no refund will be provided.

Failure to appear for the test without prior cancellation is also considered a cancellation, and no refund will be issued in such cases.

In instances where a candidate can provide a valid medical certificate within 5 days of the test date, a refund may be granted after deducting local administrative costs. This refund's availability is contingent upon submitting a medical certificate within the specified timeframe.

Reschedule Your Test Date

Reschedule is allowerd at least 5 weeks before the original exam date. Your new test date must fall within 3 months of the original test date. You can reschedule online thorugh IELTS IDP India website.

Test Date Transfer Fee

You are required to pay an administrative fee of INR 3,300 (includes all applicable taxes) to reschedule your test date.

 

If you wish to reschedule your test date, you can request a test day transfer, provided that you do so at least five weeks before your initially scheduled test date. It's important to note that the new test date must fall within three months of the original test date. 

 

To initiate the test day transfer process, you must pay an administrative fee of INR 3,300, including all applicable taxes. This procedure allows flexibility in adjusting your IELTS test date to suit your needs better.

 

Refund Policy

If you decide to cancel or postpone your test more than 5 weeks before the scheduled test date, you are eligible for a refund. However, an administration fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

If the cancellation or postponement occurs within 5 weeks of your test date, the full test fee will be charged unless you have a valid and serious medical reason for the change.

In cases where a medical certificate is provided within 5 days of your test date, you will receive a refund after deducting the local administrative costs. This policy is designed to accommodate genuine medical circumstances that may arise unexpectedly.

Submit the Enruiry on Results (EOR) form and pay the administrative fee to raise a rechecking request through IELTS IDP India website.

Those wishing to review their IELTS results for potential improvement can request a recheck of their scores. To initiate this process, you must pay the IELTS rechecking fee and submit the 'Enquiry on Results Form' (EOR Form) to make the remarking request. Test takers can choose to have one or multiple parts of their IELTS exam re-marked according to their preference. 

 

Note

A full refund will be issued if the test taker's score is revised to a higher band.

ATRF stands for Additional Test Report Form. ATRF is a way to convey your IELTS Scores to universities officially. 

 

The first five electronic ATRFs are processed at no cost. For each additional electronic score report beyond the initial five, an administrative fee of INR 250 per university applies.

You may also register for the IELTS and pay via a demand draft payable to 'IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED' in New Delhi.
