It is quite important for you to book your GRE slot beforehand, so that you can secure the slot as per your preferences. 

Let’s now see the process for GRE slot booking in online and offline mode. 
 

Online Mode of GRE Slot Booking 
 

The ETS (Education Testing services) conducts the GRE examination. All the application process, and slot booking happens through the ETS website. 

Here is the stepwise procedure that you can follow for GRE slot booking online: 
 

• Visit the ETS website and create an account. 
• Select the test that you want to give, e.g. whether you want to give full GRE General test or Subject Test.
• Now enter your preferred test location and select the convenient date and time. 
• Then verify all the details, and make sure that its correct. 
• You can then go and pay the examination fee which will be INR 22,500 for GRE complete test or 14,500 for subject test. 

Once the process is done, you will receive a confirmation email in your registered mail ID. You can then start your preparation using official ETS materials, give practice tests, attend sessions to get good marks in the test.

Offline Mode of GRE Slot Booking 
 

There are three ways through which you can book your GRE slots offline:
 

1. Through Post: 
 

• You need to download and fill up the GRE application form manually. 
• You will also be required to mention the slot when you want to give the exam. 
• Then you need to add the fees either paper cheque, cash or money order. 
• You will then be required to mail it to the below address:

2. Through Phone:

• You can call at the regional centre number 91-124-4147700 and provide the necessary details for the registration like slot details, basic identification details etc. 
• You will then be required to pay the fees online as per the instructions given by the testing authority. 

3. Through Fax: 
 

• You need to fill up the required form with all the details. 
• Then you need to send the application form to 91-124-4147773 atleast a week before the desired exam date. 

There are various GRE test centers available in the major cities which you can book at your own convenience.

Through the process to book GRE for home is simple and easy. But the only thing that you require is a set-up that can help you give your exam in a hassle free manner. 

This setup should include:

• a room without disturbances
• a laptop with proper network connectivity
• a speaker and microphone working.
• a proper working camera, if not then you can set up a web cam.
   

It is quite important to ensure that all the things are in right order so that you can give the exams easily. 
 

GRE Slot Booking Cost
 

The ETS charges a basic fee for conducting the GRE exams. This GRE exam fee is an approximate to around INR 22,500 for the eneral test. And for the GRE subject wise test, the fees will be 14,500.
