A. IELTS only requires you to carry your ID with you. A valid passport is acceptable as an ID at the IELTS test centre. Make sure the name on your ID matches your name on the registration form. You can also carry a pen or pencil while writing the paper-based test. Nothing else is allowed inside the test centre. 

A. Over 800 test centres are spread across 130+ countries, including more than 75 cities in India, such as Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai, Delhi, and Kolkata. IDP and the British Council have established numerous test centres to make it convenient for students. To locate the nearest test centre, visit the official IELTS IDP website and type in your closest city.

A. IELTS is offered in over 75 cities in India, so it’s unlikely that a city near you would not be included in the list. Even if there are no IELTS Centres in your city, you will find a centre in a neighbouring city. Remember that the seats fill out pretty quickly, so make sure you register as soon as possible. 

A. Bengaluru hosts three IELTS test centres: Kasturba Road, St. Marks Road, and Whitefield. When booking your slot, you can select any of these centres. Additionally, Bengaluru houses several IDP centres, which you can visit to address any queries. The addresses for the three test centres are provided in the table above.

A. The most suitable IELTS test centre is closest to your location. All centres conduct the same standardised test following identical rules and regulations. Therefore, the choice of test centre location does not impact the test's content or difficulty level. We advise selecting a centre based on proximity for convenience in commuting without undue stress. Booking your test early increases the likelihood of securing your preferred date and test centre.

A. The IELTS Academic and General training tests fee is INR 17,000. This fee applies to both paper-based and computer-based exams. Additional charges are incurred for rescheduling and cancelling the exam, with the amount varying depending on the timing of the change. You should also consider the fees for sending your scores. The first 5 universities receive scores free of charge, but anything after 5 free ATRFs will require payment of INR 250 per university.
