To check your PTE Academic result, follow these simple steps:

Visit the Official PTE Website: Open your web browser and go to the official Pearson PTE website. You can easily find it by searching for ‘PTE Pearson’ in your preferred search engine.

Log in to Your Pearson Account: To access your PTE scores, you'll likely need to log in to your Pearson account. If you don't have an account already, there should be an option to create one. Make sure to provide the required information accurately during the registration process.

Access Your Score Report: After logging in, you'll be directed to a page to view your PTE scores. This page may prompt you to enter your PTE identification number or other relevant details to retrieve your score report.

4.

PTE Result Rechecking

If you're unhappy with your score, you can request a recheck or rescore of your PTE results. However, it's important to know a few things:

Limited Recheck Scope: While you can request a recheck, it's only applicable to the Speaking and Writing sections. The computer scores the Reading and Listening sections, and these scores are very unlikely to change upon recheck.

Not Guaranteed to Change: PTE is a computer-scored test, so the score may not change after a recheck. The rechecking process identifies potential errors in scoring your spoken and written responses.

Fee Involved: In 2024, a recheck in India typically costs around ₹4,133 (approx. USD $52). This fee is not refundable even if your score remains unchanged after the recheck.

Test Retake Option: The text incorrectly states that the test fee is non-refundable. You would only need to retake the entire test at your own expense to improve scores in the Reading or Listening sections, which cannot be rechecked.

To request a rechecking, you must contact Pearson Customer Service within 14 days of the declaration of the PTE academic result.

FAQs

Q. Can the PTE exam be rechecked?

Ans. Yes, the PTE exam allows rescoring if you are dissatisfied with the result. To request a rescoring, you need to contact PTE customer service within 14 days of the test date. The customer service team will provide information about the rescore fee that needs to be paid. This allows you to have your exam reviewed and receive a revised score.

Q. Can I retake one part of PTE?

Ans. No, retaking only specific sections or parts of the PTE exam is impossible. If you wish to improve your scores in any section, you must retake the entire test. To achieve better results, preparing thoroughly and focusing on enhancing your overall performance across all exam sections is important.

Q. Is 53 a good score in PTE?

Ans. PTE score range is 10-90; however, there is no passing PTE score. The 65-75 PTE score is a good PTE score, as it appears competent to be admitted to top universities. A PTE score between 50-63 can also be accepted in other universities.

Q. Can I clear PTE on the first attempt?

Ans. If you're taking the PTE exam for the first time, it's normal to feel intimidated. You might even wonder whether earning the ideal score on the PTE Academic test is possible. Yes, it's possible to clear it even if you are not a native English speaker. But it will require a lot of effort and planning on your part.

Q. Which test is easier for IELTS vs PTE?

Ans. Comparing PTE and IELTS regarding difficulty is subjective and varies from student to student. Both exams cannot be classified as accessible or challenging. You may find one exam easier to grasp than the other. For example, some students may find the writing section of the PTE exam easier than the corresponding section in the IELTS test. In contrast, others may consider the reading portion of the IELTS exam to be simpler than the equivalent section in PTE. Ultimately, each exam's difficulty level depends on your strengths, weaknesses, and preferences.

Q. Can I send my PTE scores to multiple institutions?

Ans. Yes, you can send your PTE scores to multiple institutions. PTE offers the flexibility to select and send your scores to as many universities, colleges, or organisations as you wish. This allows you to apply to multiple institutions using a single PTE exam score.

Q. Are PTE exam results available online?

Q. Can I request a physical copy of my PTE exam result?

Ans. PTE provides electronic score reports that can be downloaded and printed. Physical copies are not typically issued, as the electronic version is widely accepted by institutions worldwide. The electronic score report carries the same weight and credibility as a physical copy.

Q. Can I retake the PTE exam to improve my score?
