I have learned a lot of skills from the internet especially by watching YouTube videos but one skill that has really helped me professionally was coding. A few months ago I was handed over a project which I didn't had any idea about. One of the most required skill for that was coding. My professors and other people I knew were unable to help me with that and I was left with no other option than searching it on YouTube. I went on this platform called YouTube and I searched for a few videos. There was this one person who uploaded a whole series of coding and how to do it. In that video the person also explained which apps do you need, which plugins do you need and everything in detail. I learned coding from basics to advanced and I think because of that I also received one of the best projects of my college award. It was a moment where I felt yes I made it. Earlier coding for me was so difficult and I always felt that it is not my cup of tea but internet helped me with that. Internet is definitely a blessing for us but it's in our hand how we use it. Sometimes this blessing can also turn into a disadvantage for us. I was on cloud nine because internet helped me with it and I went on the comment section of that person and I thanked her and in response she also told me how she felt about it. It was an overall good experience for me.

I was sitting at my study table and all of a sudden I stumbled upon a video about online gaming. It captivated my interest because I was really into games and I used to play them a lot as a kid. So I stumbled upon that video and I saw that there's a new game called Call of War Ragnarok and I continued to watch that video. It showed me how perfectly a game developer can mimic the mythology and depict it in such a beautiful and pictorial format. So the game revolves around the idea of Norse Gods Kratos, Thor, Odin where Kratos' son Atreus who is Loki is set on a mission to achieve and stop Ragnarok from happening. And in his journey he is accomplished by his father Kratos and during the journey he manages to learn more about his ancestry, more about his parents and hones his skills and finally manages to achieve his goal. And I learned how to be better at that game watching that video because it's a role playing game and you have to make your own builds, you have to make your own set of armor, set of swords. So it was a wonderful experience to watch and it was so informative and I learned a lot from that video which helped me throughout my playthrough of that game.

Follow up questions

What other online videos have you found helpful for learning new skills?
I've watched several videos on cooking and photography. Each video provided step-by-step instructions that made it easy to follow along. For instance, I learned how to make a perfect omelette and capture stunning photos using my smartphone.

Online videos are often more engaging and accessible than traditional methods. They allow for visual learning, which can be more effective for many people. You can pause, rewind, and rewatch sections, making it easier to grasp complex concepts.

I prefer learning through videos because they combine visual and auditory elements, which help me retain information better. Articles can be informative, but videos often provide demonstrations that clarify the content, especially for practical skills.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.
