Since I was 10, I've been growing up watching various cooking shows from various countries. This includes watching MasterChef Australia, watching The Big Table on Netflix, and I think these shows and the fascination around food in general allowed me to take up cooking and baking as a habit. So, in my limited experience of watching these shows and feeling the enthralling presence of being around chefs trying to get to make different cuisines is what makes me want to enter a competition like that myself. It's wild how all around the world with so many different cuisines there are seasoned chefs and practitioners that basically bend the rules around food. It's a sort of science and it's honestly mind-boggling how much you can do with simple dishes. As an example and an anecdote, the winner of MasterChef Australia 12 was a simple man hailing from Sri Lanka who made a simple fish curry and blew the judges' minds and won the competition. I always imagine myself opening my own cafe and presenting and sharing my food with the world.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The competition that I would be interested to take part in would definitely be related to food, let it be cooking or baking. Cooking and baking is something which I enjoy the most. In addition, I also believe that I can cook and I can bake pretty well. So I feel that if I were to take part in a competition, I would definitely win. Also, if I had the ability to design the competition, this is not possible. But if I did, it would definitely have three rounds. The first round being a starter round where the contestants would have to prepare one starter from their home country. The next would be the main course round where the participants had to prepare or had to cook something that they have been inspired from. And the third would be a dessert round in which the participants would have to bake something with chocolate. Now, chocolate is something that everybody enjoys. And I think keeping a round that has chocolate in it is well thought of.

The kind of competition I would like to take a part in is a go-karting race. So go-karting is an amateur level of car racing that a person with the least amount of experience can also enable to. Formula 1 being the example of the most experienced level of car racing. I want to take a part of this competition because it brings me alive and that sense of adrenaline while you are racing just kicks apart within you. That makes you feel about life in a different essence overall. The main thing to focus during a go-kart racing is how you turn every possible opportunity of even every millisecond into your favour. The overtakes, the run time, the shift of gears and beneath all it's just you and that sound of the engine that goes at a very high rpm to a low rpm. While also having a risk of crashing and getting hurt. Overall it's a mix of all possible things any sport or any competition can give a person. Which is why it's a complete sport and the one competition I would like to test myself in.
