So, the place that I visited was Chamundi Hills, located in Mysore, Karnataka. A very beautiful place to visit with your family. I went with my family there and I had always had a liking for that place because it always made me feel positive and more calmer and sensible after visiting, but it was my fourth visit to that place and there was a stampede. It was the most traumatic experience. I was suffocating. I was not able to breathe properly. There were a lot of people, there was a huge line to get into the temple and thankfully my uncle was a police official and due to his influence and connections we were able to skip some lines, but I was still suffocating and due to my short height I was separated from my family. So, that's one of the most traumatic experiences I had and from then I got to know that I was claustrophobic. So, it was a boon disguised as a bane. That's the most crowded place I've ever visited and I don't think I'll be considering going to that place ever again.

Follow up questions

What do you think causes people to visit crowded places like Chamundi Hills?
I believe people are drawn to crowded places for various reasons, such as the beauty of the location, cultural significance, or the desire to experience something unique. In the case of Chamundi Hills, its spiritual importance and scenic views attract many visitors, especially families.

How do you usually feel in crowded environments?
I often feel anxious in crowded environments. While I enjoy socializing, large crowds can be overwhelming for me. The experience at Chamundi Hills highlighted my claustrophobia, making me realize that I prefer quieter places where I can relax and enjoy my surroundings without feeling suffocated.

What measures do you think can be taken to manage crowds in popular tourist spots?
To manage crowds in popular tourist spots, authorities can implement timed entry tickets, limit the number of visitors, and improve crowd control measures. Additionally, promoting less popular times to visit or alternative locations can help distribute visitors more evenly and enhance the overall experience.

So, the crowded place that I have ever visited would be I would say Bangla Sahib Gurudwara which is situated in New Delhi, the capital city of India. Every time I visit Bangla Sahib, it's so crowded that you can barely get to see, you can barely get to enter the temple as well because the queue is so long that it takes about five to six hours to just view the temple from inside. The Bangla Sahib is basically located in the central Delhi. It's quite near the Red Fort. I personally worship and follow Sikhism. So for me, it's a place where I feel peace and calm but some or the other way, I can't go there every time because I feel it's very overpopulated, lots of people from different parts of India, from different parts from Punjab and even from abroad. They come on a daily basis just to visit the Bangla Sahib because the kind of place it has built and it was built I think in the 17th century. So the importance of Bangla Sahib, it's truly incredible. The kind of experience that I personally had the last time was we were just standing in the long queue and we waited for eight hours where we had the langar. It has all the facilities inside it where you can have langar, where you can do different type of donations as well but it took us eight hours to just enter in the temple. So it was pretty hectic. It was so...

Follow up questions

What do you think makes Bangla Sahib so popular among visitors?
I believe Bangla Sahib's popularity stems from its spiritual significance, beautiful architecture, and the sense of community it fosters. Many people come for worship, while others are drawn by the historical value and the peaceful atmosphere it offers amidst the bustling city.

How do you feel about visiting crowded places like Bangla Sahib?
While I appreciate the spiritual experience and the sense of belonging, I often feel overwhelmed by the crowds. It can be exhausting to wait for hours, but the feeling of peace I get once inside makes it worthwhile, even if the journey is tiring.

Have you ever visited any other crowded places? How do they compare?
Yes, I've visited places like the Taj Mahal and various festivals in India. Each has its own charm, but Bangla Sahib stands out due to its spiritual ambiance. The crowds at these places vary; some are more manageable, while others can be just as overwhelming as Bangla Sahib.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Being a socially coward person where I don't enjoy much of a crowded place. Last year when I visited a place which was crowded and uncomfortably kept was Delhi. Delhi is the capital city of India and it is the most actively working city in the nation. Last year I went to Delhi around July for my sister's wedding shopping. We decided to go to Delhi because it has a vast variety of shopping centres and also local markets. In Delhi, Chandni Chowk is known for its immensely famous wedding shopping areas and shops. However, we found her favourite dress which completed her look but getting into that place and out was a difficult task. Me and my sisters had a very difficult time commuting from one place to another in Delhi because of its poor transport system and also the overcrowd and mainly the food. It was such an unkept state because I have never been to a place which is so uncleaned with animal waste surrounding. I am from the south of India so the southern part of India is kept so clean and I am coming from the most cleanest city in the southern area which is Mangalore. I felt totally annoyed and I just wanted to go home and be in the comfort of my house. I have never experienced such horrible and horrendous experience of travelling in my life and I would never ever want to go back there.

To improve cleanliness in crowded places, I think local authorities should increase waste management efforts, provide more public toilets, and encourage community involvement in cleanliness drives. Education on maintaining hygiene can also play a crucial role in keeping these areas clean.

It was during the autumn last year, a festival happens in India, a popular festival called Durga Pooja. So I went there with my parents and visited a mall. It was very crowded because the festive season was going on and I noticed one thing that I have visited so many crowded places but this one is peculiar because I have rated this crowded place 0 out of 10. As someone who has claustrophobia, crowded place makes me feel uncomfortable but not too much uncomfortable that I feel like throwing up. So here it happens that certain group of people usually lack civic sense and that is what I saw there. They were throwing their speech on the mall floor and sitting on the mall floor being too loud and noisy, arguing with the sellers, bargaining. It was not at all quiet and I was feeling very very anxious. I get very anxious when I am in a crowded place.

    Band 6

Recently, last year, I went to the Navratsa Pandal that happens every year near my place. I went there with my friends as I was a part of the members who were playing Garbha that are assigned to that, they were assigned to that place. It was around midnight when we allowed all of people to come and join us to play the Garbha with us. And the crowd was so active, it actually got so suffocated, sweaty, and everyone was having so much fun in the end, like everyone just got the hang of it, like what they want to do and they just form a particular perfect circle and we all were dancing and enjoying and like we danced till our break our heels and it was such an amazing experience. It was really etched into my memory right now, it has, it will always be in my memory as that was a once in a moment experience and I know I won't be able to experience it again as I won't be here next year, so I'm actually looking forward to making new memories like that again in a new place and in a new country.

    Band 6

Definitely, I would like to share an experience about the crowded place where I went a few days before. Furthermore, if I tell you about the place name, the name is Bhabika Bazaar where I went to do some shopping for the Diwali. And if I say about with whom I went there, so the person's name is Sarthak Bhargav, he is my younger brother. Definitely, we both went to have some more options while buying some things or objects for our Diwali preparations. If I talk about when I went there, it was like 7-8 days before Diwali. So, this was the time when I went with my brother there. And furthermore, if I tell about the feelings about that place that I and my brother have after the experience of going there. Then, I can definitely say you that if you want to do shopping there, you must have negotiating power. Because the persons are just keeping negotiating to buy any product related to anything. Like for clothes as well, for toys, for watches, for anything, whatever you want to buy there, you just have to negotiate with the shopkeepers. Because they will definitely break your prices if you are a man who can fight with them related to the prices of the object. So, yes, my experience was overall good and I like that place for shopping.

    Band 6

The crowded places which I have recently visited was a shopping place named as Sarojini market. It is a local market famous for its trendy clothes and cheap accessories. I went there via public transportation with my sister in the metro. It took around 30 minutes for me to reach to that market. The market was fully crowded and it was all chaos. Too many people, the vendors who were promoting their clothes plus lot of customers were coming and seeing the products there and the clothing lines. My sister is very much interested in shopping and she often visits local markets like this. So last week she took me there. We did not do much shopping but it was a great experience. We got to see lot of new things. The reason why I visit this market is because I want to see what is trendy and even though I do not buy it but I enjoy seeing them. I enjoy seeing them. We did quite a few shopping. The most interesting part of this shopping is that rate starts from 1000 rupees but if you bargain they can even come down to 1 fifth of the price which they have initially offered. So the key thing is here you have to be a good negotiator if you want to buy and the place was very crowded. There was no place to sit down properly. The public washrooms were crowded but it had a great connectivity due to that lot of people from college and other places.

    Band 6

The first time ever I went to a crowded place was the time I attended a concert and that concert was organised by my favourite singer Kartik. And Kartik is such a great singer. Attending that concert made me feel so so happy. And I attended the concert with my friend Shruti. We both together enjoyed all the songs in the concert. And the concert took place at the Port Stadium. We thoroughly enjoyed all the songs in the concert. And I still remember all those surreal moments where we sang all the songs together and we thoroughly enjoyed it all from evening to the night.

The most crowded place that I have visited in recent days is like maybe the RCPJC opening or match opening day where there were a lot of fans crowded in the ground and I had a very hectic moment to get into the ground where a lot of people were rusting and even pushing each other that made me very uncomfortable later on getting into the ground and seeing the whole other performance as well as get to see a lot of players made me feel good and maybe encouraged me but this all aspects because made me to think like maybe we can go early before the time so that we get to go to the place very easily instead of being in crowd or instead of being in crowd pushed by each other or maybe you know all this stuffs so this was one of my experience maybe I don't think I will get to experience this anywhere else but that's ok but thinking on other aspects maybe people should be very concerned about even others like while walking or maybe yeah of course everyone is very excited about the things that's going on but one should also look into such aspects like what my action impact on others so one has to be very cautious when they are moving or when they are walking because we get to see a lot of people from different age groups visiting the same place so when such thing happens as a young person that will not affect as much as to me but some considered as below age or maybe someone with old age they will face very lot of problems because of this.
