Perhaps one of the most memorable events in my life was my Goa trip with my childhood friends. A couple of years back I visited Goa with my friends for a span of one week. Not only we have booked an Airbnb for seven girls and it was a beautiful property with scenic views along with a swimming pool in it in which we swimmed about for three to four hours every day. Furthermore, we visited ample of beaches in Goa which had picturesque landscape and mesmerizing beauty. We have witnessed sunsets and sunrise in so many beaches and we have seen so many breathtaking views under the waterfalls. Some of the beaches that we visited included Baga beach, Arambol beach and Felix beach etc. In addition to that we visited very exotic restaurants to experience cuisines of various nationalities for instance Bhutanese, Continental, Italian etc. We have tasted sumptuous food that satisfied our soul. Not only that we visited nightclubs including Thalassa and Exotic etc. which had immensely enthusiastic and breathtaking nightlife. Goa is famous for its nightlife as well as beauty of the beaches. So overall to sum up I can say that it was one of the best trips of my life which I took with my friends and if I am given a chance I would definitely love to visit Goa once again to relax my soul and relieve my mind.

One of the most memorable events of my life is my 10th birthday and my 18th birthday because those are the times I've had a lot of people with me, a real lot of people who loved me and celebrated me and also I had my friends over on my 10th birthday which I have never done before in my life since childhood. My mother brought my friends over, she celebrated my birthday in a very big manner that is one of my most favourite and memorable moments in my childhood. Another such moment is my 18th birthday where I had 10 to 15 members over for dinner in a restaurant and we had some quality time and it is also important because that is when I met my husband first, both of us had a very good time and only on that day I came to know that he is into me and both of us are going to end up together somehow. So these are the two moments of my life that I will cherish forever and I will keep close to my heart even though there are instances or birthdays or events that I have enjoyed a lot but these two moments are the unforgettable ones.

What made your 18th birthday different from your 10th?
My 18th birthday was more significant as it marked my transition into adulthood. It was a more intimate gathering with close friends and family, and it was special because I met my husband that day. The conversations and connections made it a pivotal moment in my life.

Do you think birthdays are important? Why or why not?
Yes, I believe birthdays are important as they provide an opportunity to celebrate life and reflect on personal growth. They allow us to connect with loved ones and create lasting memories. Each birthday is a reminder of the journey we've taken and the people who have supported us along the way.

Since childhood, I have celebrated many memorable events like marriages, birthdays and so many functions. But one of the memorable events I have celebrated recently was Sankranti Festival. It's a memorable event for me because for every Sankranti Festival, our family members used to gather in one place and we used to celebrate the event. And for the past 4 to 5 years, due to the COVID pandemic, we never met due to the international restrictions and busy life schedules. Moreover, for this Sankranti, all the cousins have met at one place and I organized the party especially. Where I was in my busy schedule, I used to come to my grandfather's home and used to organize the party there. Sankranti is a 3 days festival and on the first day, we used to call it as Bhogi. On that day, I arranged a campfire on my street and we used to put the DJ songs near the campfire and we used to dance around the campfire. We used to eat so many authentic foods on that day and on the day 2, we used to call it as Sankranti. We used to buy new clothes and we used to wear similar clothes to all the patients.

Follow up questions

What other festivals do you enjoy celebrating with your family?
Apart from Sankranti, I also enjoy celebrating Diwali and Christmas with my family. Diwali is special because of the lights and sweets, while Christmas brings everyone together for a festive meal and gift exchange. Each festival has its own unique traditions that we cherish.

How do you think family gatherings impact relationships?
Family gatherings strengthen our bonds and create lasting memories. They provide a chance to reconnect, share stories, and support each other. Celebrating together fosters a sense of belonging and unity, which is especially important in today's fast-paced world.

What traditional foods do you associate with Sankranti?
During Sankranti, we enjoy a variety of traditional foods like Pongal, which is made from rice and lentils, and various sweets made from jaggery. We also prepare special snacks like chakli and murukku, which are favorites among family members during the celebrations.

Some events lead to be the most memorable moments in your life. So I would like to talk about an event which after a point in life became an event that I cherished in my entire life. This happened when I was in my 10th grade. My birthday falls on the 5th of December every month and in the 10th grade I was going to turn 16 years old. My mother told me that my relatives will be joining us in order to commemorate my birthday. Although I was slightly disappointed on the fact that it was only going to be my relatives and not my close friends at the party, I decided that I could have a good time with them as well. So while I was at home, there was a sudden ring of a bell at my doorstep. My mother insisted me to open the door since I had to welcome my relatives. On opening the door, I was shocked as my friends were standing at my doorstep. They all shouted the word happy birthday and that was a moment that I can never forget in my life. When I went into the room after seeing my friends, I gave my mother a tight hug and I thanked her for the moment she had created in my life. All my near and dear ones

A memorable event in my life is definitely going to Kedarnath. Kedarnath, I've been dreaming since my childhood to visit once in my life. It's my one time dream destination. It's in my bucket list from childhood, from my 7th standard itself. When I went to Kedarnath, I felt really peaceful, really extremely happy and it was serene, beautiful. It contains huge number of mountains. There is Shiva temple. I've been a devotee of Shiva from my childhood. And looking at him there in the mountains, it was really an amazing experience. I can't even describe it in words. It was heartfelt. I was really, really into God, Shiva. I just love him. I was so passionate about him. I'm into spirituality. After my heartbreak, I went into depression. I even used antidepressants. But getting into spirituality helped me, healed my broken heart. It was like a magic from the God itself. He healed me. He made me who I am today. And my spark came back running towards me.

After my heartbreak, I struggled with depression and turned to spirituality for healing. Engaging in spiritual practices and visiting sacred places like Kedarnath helped me regain my strength and joy. It was a journey of self-discovery that brought me back to my true self.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

This memorable event took place exactly an year ago, in the same month of May. It was a road trip with my family and friends to Nainital. Why this is memorable to me? It's memorable to me because I enjoyed a lot and it was also my first time going on a road trip like that with my friends. I felt amazing and fulfilled throughout the trip and it was the best thing that could ever happen. It was memorable because how fun we had with each other. Furthermore, the memories that we made were irreplaceable. The bond deepened and we just learned a lot about life and travelling in general.

I have this memory of attending my brother's marriage and I think it was I guess it was in 2012, December 2012. It's the event that I remember the most because there I met a lot of our relatives especially one of our relatives whom I didn't see by that time in last I think 15 or 16 years. I met a girl as well whom I remember became my best friend and this was something that I still remember. I think it was in Rajasthan. It was something that has still, that has still touched me and it has something that in my memory has a place. I am not sure if I am going to be at any such event anytime soon. Also it was something that anyone could not forget easily. Just like I have been remembering it for past couple of years, I am sure that I can still remember it.
