A friend that I enjoy talking a lot with is my friend Melna. I've known her for over 8 years now and she's one of my closest friends. We talk about a range of topics. Could be the most abundant topic or a topic that is related to our everyday life. I like speaking with her because she's funny, smart and is always happy to help me find my problems. She's kind, loyal, reliable and I knew I wouldn't hesitate to pick up the phone and call her if I ever find myself in trouble. In addition to this, she also embodies a lot of qualities I hope to emulate in my own personality. Most important of them being her sense of empathy and responsibility. She's always quick to think of someone else's needs before hers when it comes to any situation. And to always see the upside of things even when they don't seem very optimistic. It's one of the reasons I love being able to spend so much time with her.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The person that I really like to talk to is my best friend from high school, Srishti. Srishti is an amazing person, a great orator, a great writer, as well as a very understanding problem-solving consultant. Not only does she have great listening skills, but she has great data analyzing and problem-solving skills as well. The thing that I really love about her is you could go to her with a problem, but you would always find a solution to it. I have known her since the past 16 years, and the reason why we would get along so well is because we would always find solutions to each other's problems. The way she approaches a particular problem is something that I would not find in a common man. She has a great, strong command over English, as well as problem-solving skills in computer science. Our friendship took a long way during high school. We definitely had very different interests, but we somehow gelled along well. Never have I ever had any problem about any conversation with her. Usually, she is my go-to person whenever I come up with any problem.

    Band 6-7

I would like to spend most of my time with my friend. Her name is Renu. I have known her for almost 8 years. She is a very good listener. She always understands me. We usually talk about our lives and also sometimes about our future, about our career goals, what we are up to and what not. She is always there for me, no matter what. She is like an apple to my eye. Every time I run into a problem, she is the one I go looking for. We used to spend a lot of time. We shared beautiful memories together. Her house was so close to mine, so we used to regularly go to each other's houses. We used to travel to the college together. I miss her a lot nowadays because she has moved to a different country and we don't get more time to talk. However, we make some time, once in a week or like that, to share our views.

    Band 6-7

So, my best friend is Subramanya. Subramanya and I, you know, sort of we share a lot and lot of things in common. We talk about philosophy, art, literature, movie. He is very much interested in classical Indian music. In fact, he is a musician. So, he is a flutist. And for me, I was a novice. I didn't know anything about music. So, he introduced me towards Indian classical music. And I was an expert on cinema. You know, I was a cinephile. I watched many many movies of all, from the directors ranging from Satyajit Ray, Luis Buñuel, Anzhai Tarkovsky, many people. I watched their movies and I sort of introduced him towards the movies. So, these were the discussions we have regarding, you know, all the esoteric things and we like to share these things with each other because it makes us believe that sharing the knowledge will uplift each other together into new zone where we can learn everyday by challenging each other. Sometimes, he challenges me to sort of understand a raga. I challenge him to sort of understand the rhythms or edits in the movie. So, where he basically sort of gets into it and learns what the editing is first and I go into it and sort of learn what is a rhythm. So, these kind of things, I think every friendship should be like this which is a stint of love and a healthy competition. So, this is what I like about him very much and this is why he feels extraordinary about everybody I have contact in my life. Thank you.

    Band 6-7

The one I will go to, to talk about my problems and other things is my friend Kumaran. We've been friends since 5th grade. I guess we are friends for almost 8 years and we actually talk about cricket, cinema and anime. We have a lot of things in common. So our vibes will match together and we will have hours talking together for a while. And yeah, since he is very understanding, calm and he is a good listener, he will always help me out when I am needed. And even for my IELTS preparation, in my country we won't often talk English. English is not a primary language for us. So everyone will suck at English but even though he is not good with English, for my preparation he is giving his efforts for myself and himself to practice English. So I really like that about him and he will always do 100% commitment towards friends and family. So yeah, it is very pleasure to be with friends with him.
