Describe A Person Who Is Good At Making People Feel Welcome In His Her Home: IELTS Speaking Cue Card

A person who is good at making people feel welcome in her home is my cousin Shruti, who is my cousin and she is my close relative. Apparently, she is a person I admire a lot as when she invites a person to her home, moreover she calls the person and asks what all they need, amenities they need when they reach the home.

Well, I have many best friends or many family members, sister, brother in my life, but definitely I love my best friend so much. She is the best person in my life who always encourage me to do the things. Her name is Kamal and he is my friend because he is living in my neighborhood from my childhood. We are playing together, we are studying together, we also study in the same school and were classmates also. Still now, we are in the touch and also grab each other in every moment, in every happiest moment, in every sad moment also. She is very good and she is very kind to me. She always encourage me to do better things and she always tell me to how to tackle the things and how to give stars to the moon. That is why she is my favorite person in my life. She also welcomed me when I went to her. She always encourage me to come to her always. Definitely she is my best friend, that is why she always support me. We are best friends and still now, we are best friends and still now, we are best friends. He make me happy when I have any problem in my life, I visit to her, I call to her and we chat also for 2-3 hours every day.

Well, there are many persons in my life who treated me very well when I went to their home. Here today I would like to talk about my mother's friend, Gagan. She is my best friend and we studied together since nursery. In addition to it, I like her a lot. She is English teacher. Moreover, she usually motivated us to do more hard work in life to achieve goal. Furthermore, her mother is very polite as well as she is very down to earth. Because of that, I like that person more in my life. Whenever I face any difficulty in my life at that time, I like to discuss with that person because she usually help me to solve my every problem as well as she also maintain the confidentiality. Because of that, without any hesitation, I like to share with her everything. Afterwards, she knew that rice pudding is one of my favorite dessert. When I went to her home, then she made that dish for me and it was very delicious every time. Then I also did not feel hesitant when I went to her home because she treated me as like her own daughter. Because of that, I have good bond with that person. Instead of it, she has good etiquette. She also respect every guest in her home. I also feel so relaxed. When I was in her home at that time, I thought that I was in my own house because she treated me very nicely as well as politely. So I also learnt some skill from that person. She is very good in cooking. Sometime I learnt that skill from her. Apart from it, we also treated as like family member during a special occasion.

There are many persons in our life who welcome us when we went to their home. And here I would like to mention about one person who is my personal favorite one. And whenever I go to their home, they really welcome us in a very beautiful way. And she always offers us many food items and plenty of drinks which I like. And she is my maternal grandmother. From like our childhood, we used to go over there with my siblings and my mother. And we are really excited when my mother said like we will go over there. And whenever we visit her house, she feels very happy and very excited that we came there. And also we are very excited to live there. We spend almost a week or 10 days over there because the environment over there is very nice. And we also feel very energetic and very special whenever we live there. And all people around there feel us very comfortable. They take care of all our needs, what we like to eat, what we like to gift us.

Yeah, there is actually one person who makes me feel very good. His name is Manas. He's my cousin. Way back in 2000, we actually met in one function. So at the time, we don't know each other. But due to some circumstances, we are used to play. I don't remember back then. But eventually, we have grown our relationship in a quite friendly way. So after talking him too many times, I concluded that he's a very warm, kind hearted and friendly person. Additionally, he's one year actually older than me, which is quite intriguing to say. He lives in Delhi, which is the capital city of India. At present, he is preparing for MBA exams. So he would like to join in MBA.

Firstly the person who is good at making people feel welcome for me is my mother, who is very dearly to my heart and she is one of the most welcoming person I have seen in my entire life and moreover she has been working in the restaurant as a waiter. So she has also gained some of the experience on how to treat people correctly and she also had a very good mother, which is my grandmother, where she raised my mother very good with the certain rules and restriction and she also taught her how to be obedient and good woman, how to make her home home. So whenever like I come home from my work or I am tired or I am feeling not that good or I am feeling like something is missing then in such cases my mother always open her arms and she is always welcoming and she is always loving and I just cannot imagine my life without her as she is one of the most important person who had been there in my life from my childhood to my adult and she is always there whenever I need something, if I need to have some food or if I need to go somewhere and I need to have some my clothes ready, so she is always there in order to make those things for me and whenever like there is my, some of my friends come to home or some other people like my relatives come, she is always welcoming and loving and caring that's all.

She is none other than my mother. She is loving, caring and helpful. Every mother is undoubtedly loving and caring. But my mother is so affectionate and have affinity towards every guest she receives in her house. She lives with my father and she really misses her children. My brother lives abroad and I live in Kanpur. So she definitely miss both of us. She always want and wonder when and who is coming to her home. She really loves cooking and she always surprises me with the delicious and palatable food on the plate. Whenever I have the food in my plate which is cooked by my mother, I really feel myself on the cloud nine. Whenever I say mom the food is really delicious, she also feels like my mother is very welcoming in nature. She is also an influential lady. She is resilient in nature. I have learnt a lot from her. Since I am a married woman, I also welcome all the guests the way she used to do when I was a child. I have seen her to be happy in whatever situation she is in and she creates miracles.

The person that I'm describing about is my best friend, Ketana. We met 6 or 7 years back at our school during our 11th grade. She makes me feel welcome. She makes me feel heard. I feel like talking to her about a lot of things. And she is there whenever I am having the hard times. The same goes for her too. So we both are each other's back support actually. And we feel at home when we are together. For me, she is like my little sister who I take care of. And I feel so comfortable talking about a lot of stuff.

I want to tell about a person to whom I know well, to whom I'm related to, is my sister, my elder sister actually. And she is a very welcoming person. She's always been a very good host, because she loves the people to come to their home. And she's always been like doing partying. And she wants the people to visit her house. Probably I used to visit once in a month or twice in a month. And whenever I visited her, she always welcomed with good food. And she always guided her children to check if we need anything else, if we are comfortable or not. And she wants us to stay there with her. She's not only my elder sister, she treats me like her own daughter. And that's the best part of her is her nature to host the party beautifully. She used to cook and serve on her own. And not only the main courses she used to serve, she used to serve cool beverages and snacks. And she knows our favorites and what to serve to the kids and what to serve to the young elder ones. And she relaxes, she gives us the tranquility in her home because of the neat tidiness in her home. I love visiting her. And this is the best habit I found.

Well, I know many person who always ready to help other peoples and welcome other peoples and they always generous with other peoples so here I would love to talk about a person which I, which whom I know that, I know always ready to help or welcome other peoples that is my maternal, that is my maternal uncle and he is my father, brother and his name is David and he is in his 40 and I saw him many number of time that he always appreciate other peoples whenever they come in her, in his house and apart from this, I admire him for his, for his this good, good attitude towards other peoples because is, I find that it's very generous nature which is rarely find in anyone nowadays so I, that's why I like his nature so once, moreover once I visited, once I visited his house and he just welcoming with a good way, he just give me a, he just throw me a flowers on me and welcoming me after, because I was coming after so much love.
