The family member who I adore the most is my mom. She is my best friend, my supporter, my cheerleader and everything in life. She has been there with me in my thick and my thin. During my ups obviously she has been there but during my downs if one person who has selflessly been there for me is my mom and if I thank her for that it will be a very small word to what she has done for me but I'm very thankful that she is the one who I got as my mother and I would always want her to be my mother in the coming births if I take birth again. She is my best friend, she knows all my secrets, all my mischiefs, everything. The day I left for my college was the day when I felt like that I'm leaving something very close to my heart, a piece of my heart at home but I knew for a fact that no matter what be it near or be it far she'll always be there for me, protecting me, taking care of me and always thinking about me. No matter who comes in my life, no matter whoever be a part of my life, she will always be the most important person of my entire being. She has given me this life, she has given me the freedom, she has turned me into a person I am today and I'm grateful, thankful to God that she is the one who I got as my mother. Whenever I go back home she cooks my favorite meals, she spends time with me, she talks to me, she listens to my nuisance and without judging me, without even pointing a finger at me she has always been there. I'm thankful.

A family member I admire more is my own sister and her name is Divya. Initially I won't like her but when I started growing up her activities attracted me so much. The one thing I admired more about her is her problem solving skills and her persistence. She just got placed at TCS at her 4th attempt so that's the one thing that I keep on thinking about her. If you don't know about TCS it's Tata Consultancy Services and it's one of the best multinational company in India and she just got placed there at her 4th attempt. One thing I love about her is her encounter towards a problem and how she finds a solution towards the problem she just faced. And if you don't know about her, she just got a straight first in her secondary schoolings. Everyone in our family just like her because no one can match her studying levels and her decision making skills. The fascinating thing about her is she just studies a week before exam and scores a straight first in secondary schoolings.

Follow up questions

Her achievements inspire me to work harder and not give up easily. Seeing her dedication and success motivates me to pursue my own goals with the same level of commitment and resilience.

What challenges do you think she faced during her job search?
I think she faced a lot of rejection and self-doubt during her job search. Each attempt must have been challenging, but her persistence and ability to learn from each experience helped her overcome those obstacles and eventually succeed.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So my grandfather, I admire him the most because he's the most learned person in our family and he always gives us the things he farmed in his room, in his home, in the rooftop. So he's a diverse kind of personality. He has worked in railways and as a farmer and he has traveled to many states all over the country during his tenure in railways. And I admire him for the reason that he's very neutral to all of the family members. He loves almost everyone equally and mostly he loves the ones who would talk to him the most. So we usually engage with the conversation around one hour or two hours over a variety of topics like space, science, spirituality and current affairs. So we don't only listen, we argue, we have our differences. So there is a generation gap of around 40 years. So that makes a difference, that makes it more fun to interact with him. And also one of his qualities, he never stands still, he is always working. Whenever he gets some time, free time out of his daily course, he'll repair the stuff or he'll do the gardening.

A family member I admire would be my mom because she has faced a lot of struggles in life. She comes from a very low middle class family. Her father would come home drunk and beat up her wife and kids no matter what he used to make sure that he enjoys life and doesn't used to care about his children. Out of throat. Out of sugar. She comes from a very low middle class family where her mother was a housewife and her father was a railway employee and he was a junkard. He used to come home drunk and beat up his wife and kids. My mom stood by her mother as an elder daughter throughout all the odds. There were four siblings and my mother was the elder one. She took care of the other three siblings in the absence of her mom. She struggled so hard and faced a lot of problems with her dad and got married at the age of twenty while she was pursuing degree and the next year immediately when she was in degree second year she was pregnant with me and she used to feel ashamed to go to college being pregnant but she managed to do so. And then when I was born she started to teach in the private schools. Slowly she joined a training program and then she made it out to be a government teacher. The one person that I admire in my family is my father. I have a very good relationship with him. As of right now, we are on really good terms and our bond is something that I don't have with anybody else. So that is one of the reasons I admire him a lot. Other than that, I think he understands me the most and the effort he has put in raising his children and growing the family and taking care of everybody while ignoring his own needs. That's what makes him a beautiful person inside and out and that's why I think his journey is admirable and moreover, I would like to see him grow and be happy in his life and get what he hasn't got in his life as there are a lot of dreams that a person has but he has not completed that dream because of the responsibilities he had and right now as well, there are a lot of responsibilities like raising 4 children is not an easy thing in today's time. You need a lot of money, you need a lot of time to raise them. So that is one thing and other than that is marrying 3 daughters which again is not something as easy as a piece of cake. So that's what I think admires him.

Band 6-7

One person whom I admire the most in my family is Mrs. Dhan Lakshmi, who is my maternal grandmother. I admire her the most is because she is now in her 80s and she is one person whom I, so far in my life, who I have seen is very strong, confident and very bold. She actually, she was married in her 20s and she lost her parents at a very young age. Ever since then, she started running on her own.
