So, I would want to talk about my maternal grandmother. She happens to be the pioneer of my family. Everyone in my family goes to her in perilous times or in times where we don't know what to do or we cannot come to the right decision. She is one of the most wise person that I have known my entire life. And she is a strong lady. We do call her the Iron Lady of our family, if I may say. And she has been through such a lot of challenges in her life. And she has faced all of them so gracefully and come out of all those challenges so well. And she always has words of encouragement. She always supports us no matter what. She will always explain to us the consequences of our actions or why a certain thing has happened, what was our involvement in it, what is the lesson that we can learn from it and what should our further actions be or in case that we have done something which has hurt somebody or something that we shouldn't have done. She will always give us sound advice on how to apologize to the person or how to make sure that we do not repeat those actions in the near future. And she is also a very open-minded person. When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I think my friend Aridham Das, who is a senior architect at Myoflaxis, is someone whom I have seen many people asking advices from. He has over 20 years of experience and knows the field of architecture really well and I feel this qualifies him to give good advice on anything related to architecture. So we often meet him at office i.e. from 9 to 6 but even after office he is a really patient and amazing person that he would entertain us asking advice any time of the day. So we don't feel that urge to not ask him. We keep asking him late nights, early mornings and so on. I think the main reason people go to him for advice is because he always helps us with the right answer and we always get some kind of an answer from him. She is all ears when we have a problem or we need an advice on situations that we sometimes find it difficult to find solutions to. Why people often go to her is because she is great at what she does and probably people look for something, not only just solutions but for just an ear to listen to all the problems. She has a family of four and I feel that the family doesn't quarrel so much because there's so much understanding between them. I feel this is because of her behavior and how she handles different kind of issues and problems when they come to her. She is this shining bright star where you find in the darkness. There are multiple people whom I would like to ask things, but today I would like to ask or say about my manager. He gives us multiple ways to resolve the issues, and because he's very much experienced in the industry, so everyone, especially my team members, who's ever is working under him, always like to ask him the questions related to the work or even a personal life, because he's very much experienced and he always give a practical advice rather than just saying the things which are not doable. Everyone likes him. At the end, we feel that yes, we made the right decision by telling him the situation, and every time whenever we connected with him, he always give us a great advice. So all our team members, including

Band 6-7

I think people like to ask advice from their elders because their experiences with that scenario or their experiences with the situations they have faced, they're really eligible to give advice and people often seek their advice to assure themselves that they're taking good decision or bad decision. So elders always say good thing or good judgment they'll give to choose an advice because one must choose a good, a merit advice because if the decision is bad, the entire situation will become worse. So taking decision is crucial point for the people, like not only the younger people or any kind of people, but taking an advice is given much preference rather than seeking their own knowledge, asking elders for the suggestion, they always give some appropriate suitable example because it gives us an immense feeling like, okay the problem is solved now. By hearing those advices, we gain confidence on them. So I think taking advices gives us a feeling of joy because this problem will be sorted out within less time. I think taking advices are most important to solve our problems.

Band 6-7

Okay, that's an interesting question to talk about. I would say the person whom I love to seek advice from is my uncle. Because I think he's one of the most educated person in our entire family and he's well aware of the happenings around the world. I always consult him for everything and anything. For instance, for my education, I remember like after I completed my 12th grade, I was very confused like I want to go abroad for my studies or should I stay back here and complete my graduation and then go for the foreign study option. So I seek help from him and then he advised me to complete my graduation from here only and then after completing my graduation, you should go and further pursue your studies abroad. And after taking this advice, I completed my graduation from here and I think it was the best advice and I feel very happy that I have listened to him and completed my studies from here. Because I have came across a lot of knowledge and have developed a lot of confidence throughout these three years and I think it was the most beneficial thing that happened to me and it would in future also it is going to be very helpful for me. Not only me, if I say my whole family loves to consult him, loves to take advices from him because as I said before, he is the best person who gives the best advices in the world and if further in future if I would have any confusion, I would definitely love to consult him.

Band 6-7

So this very interesting person that I would like to describe is my grandmother, who's always been there for me, right from my childhood. So the reason why people go to her for advices is because she knows how to explain a situation through stories and experiences, which gives a sense of homeliness and care to the person listening. She never, she never pinpoints at your mistakes or blames you for anything, but rather she tells it with so much of love and care that makes you feel so welcoming to go to her anytime you want. And her advices have on a large scale helped me on my day-to-day life and in how I've developed as a human being. Her words and the way she explains things, her thought process have been a very great instrument or has been very instrumental in my growth process and in how far along I've come. And also I have a huge deal of respect and love for her and how she looks into things, her perspectives are very intriguing. And I'm also proud of how far along she's come as a human being despite the situations she was given or the conditions she had to live through, which was in DC at all. So I would say I'm very proud of her. I'm fascinated by how she can do so many things at the same time without complaining and having enough love for everyone around her.

Band 6-7

She is my school teacher. I have a very long relationship with my school teacher. Since from my childhood I have grown up seeing her and all my schoolmates and classmates take help of her in decision making when they are struck. When they were not able to decide and she is very good at decision making by understanding the situation by putting her legs into the other shoes. Not only taking decisions other school members also they take help of her in making some small decisions like career related or life related or office related. Any kind of decision when they want to when they are struck and when they want to take help of her they reach out to her and they take the decisions. We feel very excited and proud of her decisions because she has been seeing us from the childhood. So, she knows each one of us financial and family background. So, based on this background criteria she takes and advises to each one of us student. And this helps us all the advises from her helped us in all positive manner.

Band 6-7

A person whom others like to ask for advice is my English professor. I have seen him as a very experienced person who has a command over the language that he teaches, which is English. And as a subject, it's very complicated and convoluted. However, it's very interesting as a subject and people also like to look up to him for advice because he has gathered experience dealing with large number of people and various life experiences that he has gone through. I think that has made him very well-versed in giving advice because in knowing the practicalities of the situation and real life and facing real life in the way that he has, that has made him very experienced. And so, he can offer his wisdom to other people who need it most and I look up to advice as well. I look up to him for advice because his advice does make an impact for the better and it makes it.
