There are many places around the world that I would like to visit, may it be Asia, Europe, Africa. There are countries in all these continents that I have always dreamed of going to. But one destination stands out among the rest, and that would be the United Kingdom. Me and my family have a long history with the United Kingdom, with my father having worked there for several years before he came back to India and had me. He used to tell me of all his stories and adventures that he had had in the country, the people he had met, the cultures that he had encountered, and most importantly, the beautiful architecture of the cities. Within the UK, there are a multitude of places that I wish to explore, the main one being the cultural hub of the United Kingdom, and that is London. London is a place that just screams with vibrance and energy. Other than that, I would also like to visit the Cotswolds, or more commonly known as the Old World, where you can see ancient English huts, houses, and the type of life people used to lead in English villages. Moving on to the Scottish part of the United Kingdom, the city of Edinburgh has always intrigued me like no other city has. The brilliant atmosphere, the mildew in the air, and the ancient but imposing castle on the mountain. It is...

What specific experiences do you hope to have in London?
In London, I hope to experience the rich history by visiting landmarks like the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. I also want to explore the diverse neighborhoods, enjoy local cuisine, and perhaps catch a show in the West End to truly immerse myself in the vibrant culture.

Why do you think the Cotswolds is referred to as the Old World?
The Cotswolds is referred to as the Old World because of its preserved historical architecture and picturesque villages. It offers a glimpse into traditional English life, showcasing charming cottages, rolling hills, and a slower pace that contrasts with modern urban life.

What draws you to Edinburgh specifically?
Edinburgh fascinates me due to its unique blend of history and natural beauty. The iconic Edinburgh Castle, perched on a volcanic rock, along with the city's medieval Old Town and the stunning views from Arthur's Seat, create an enchanting atmosphere that I can't wait to explore.

We recently visited Coorg which is located in the south of India and up till now that is the best destination that I have been to. We went there, I went there with my family, we were four people together, we stayed in a good luxurious hotel there called Purple Palms. For travel we booked flights both ways and we had to take a separate taxi from Mangalore as it is a hill station. It was a more 4 hour ride after the plane's journey. We enjoyed a lot there, there was a lot to do. First day we went to the Mandalpatti hills and saw this picturesque landscape of hills and water. Coorg is surrounded and is famous for a lot of coffee plantations so we made sure we go to one of their coffee plantations. They also gave us freebies of their coffee known as Levista, it is my favourite coffee which I drink every morning now. After that we also went to a very famous elephant park over there, we enjoyed a ride on elephants and also we saw a cute baby elephant who was bathing himself. There was a small boy who was sitting on the elephant and they both were enjoying the bath it seems. In the evening we usually chilled in the hotel itself, enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool and a live music show and we used to have our dinner and go to bed. It was a pretty chill holiday we could say, not too much of roaming but we made sure we went, it was a four day trip so we made sure we went somewhere each day and then also prioritised relaxation.

Follow up questions

What activities did you enjoy the most during your trip to Coorg?
I really enjoyed visiting the Mandalpatti hills for the stunning views and the coffee plantation where I got to taste Levista coffee. The elephant park was also a highlight, especially seeing the baby elephant and riding on the elephants. It was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

How did you choose Coorg as your holiday destination?
We chose Coorg because we wanted a peaceful getaway in nature, and it was recommended by friends. The idea of exploring coffee plantations and enjoying the scenic hills appealed to us. Plus, it was a manageable travel distance from our home.

What would you recommend to someone planning to visit Coorg?
I would recommend visiting the coffee plantations and the elephant park for sure. Also, take time to relax at your hotel and enjoy the local cuisine. Make sure to explore the hills for breathtaking views, and don’t forget to try the local coffee!

My favorite destination place is Chennai. It is located in Tamil Nadu, the southern part of India. I visited that place during last month. I went there in flight. So I went with my family. I stayed in a hotel for one week. So it was a very good experience. So we went to visit many prominent historical places like malls, beach, museums, forts, like that. And we really enjoyed different types of food over there, different cuisines. We enjoyed the street food. And the people over there were so friendly, they were so helpful. And we booked a cab to visit local places. And we went for shopping as well. We went to T Nagar. That street consists of many small businesses for clothing and for accessories. And they have many hotels over there also. So we really had a very good time. We also had an opportunity to meet the VIPs and actors in that area. And we are planning to go there again for the next year trip as well. During that time, the climate was so chill and moody. And we really enjoyed it. Chennai is actually a metropolitan city. And the traffic is so much because people from other cities have come to Chennai for work purpose. And they have settled there. So the traffic is hectic. But still we enjoyed it. Sunrise is very amazing in Chennai. You have to really go there. And sunsets are equally good as well. And you can travel in local train which will be a special experience.

I would say I am a travel enthusiast. Whenever I get a chance to visit anywhere, I will go there. Recently, we had a trip to Walpare. It is a mountainous region situated on the boundary of Kerala and Tamil Nadu districts. Me and my friends are going for the trip. We started our journey at night. We ride on a motorcycle. We know the ride on a motorcycle through a forest area is very difficult and quite dangerous. However, I enjoyed it a lot. I consider it as an adventurous trip because the journey gives me much thrilling. The most exciting part of this trip was that I was impressed by the driver skill of a local. Next day, we had a trekking. I was impressed by the driver's skill because he drives smoothly through the curvy and terrible roads. At last, we reached our destination, Walpare. It is a hilltop station. We witnessed the breathtaking sunrise, the warm climate and soft rays from the sun makes the ambience even more beautiful. We had a cup of tea from the local nearby shop.

Follow up questions

What other activities did you enjoy during your trip to Walpare?
Besides trekking, we explored the local culture and tasted traditional food. We also visited nearby waterfalls and took lots of photos. The natural beauty and the friendly locals made the experience even more memorable.

How do you usually plan your trips to ensure they are adventurous?
I research destinations that offer outdoor activities like trekking and biking. I also look for local guides who can show us the best routes and hidden gems. Planning with friends who share the same adventurous spirit adds to the excitement.

What is your favorite memory from this holiday?
My favorite memory is watching the sunrise at Walpare. The view was breathtaking, and sharing that moment with my friends made it even more special. We all felt a sense of peace and gratitude for the beauty of nature.

One of my favorite holiday destination is Goa. I had been there about 3 months back, back in January. This trip had 3 people who were all my school friends. There were 3 people named Tarun, Akshay and Amir. This trip was pretty special because we met after 5 years. Furthermore, when we landed in Goa, we explored multiple tourist attractions such as beaches, pubs and many more. There was this particular road which was very famous in Bollywood movies. We had a chance to explore that road as well. We had rented scooties and booked an Airbnb which was the best part of the trip. Furthermore, this trip was pretty special because we don't know when we will ever get a chance to meet each other. Everyone is so focused on their lives right now that nobody has a chance to spend time with their favorite ones. Moreover, we had a chance to talk to a few people around in Goa who were very scared to go paragliding. But then we convinced them to join us in that paragliding and had more fun.
