The cafe I like is Half Way Cafe which is in Bangalore. This is one of my favorite cafes. I often go with my friends and family. The food that they serve there is cake, coffee and few other things. The cakes that are made here is so delightful and creamy and emmy which I cannot forget the taste of it after eating for at least a week. Here I have very cherished memories. I had spent a lot of time here with my friends during my college days. This is very connected to me. With better price we get a delightful and tastiest food that I have ever had. We get pasta as Maggi which is made out of mayonnaise and the special noodles that they prepare there on their own which I like the most and I have a good memory with my friends there so I would like to visit the place whenever I am in Bangalore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Tips to answer this Cue Card

1: Being Vague About Location

Candidates often give unclear or general descriptions of the cafe's location, which makes it hard for the examiner to visualize. Specific details help create a clearer picture.

bulb icon

Tip

Mention the exact area or landmark near the cafe to provide a clear context. For example, say 'It's located near the city park' instead of just 'in the city.'

2: Listing Too Many Menu Items

Some candidates list too many food and drink items, which can overwhelm the listener. It's better to focus on a few favorites that highlight the cafe's uniqueness.

bulb icon

Tip

Choose two or three signature dishes or drinks that you love and explain why they are special. This keeps your answer concise and engaging.

Not Explaining Personal Connection

Candidates often fail to explain why they like the cafe, making their answer less personal and relatable. Sharing personal experiences makes your response more engaging.

Tip

Share a specific memory or feeling associated with the cafe, such as a special occasion or a favorite moment spent there, to create a connection.

The cafe that I would like to visit is Kareli Kitchens, it was located at Jubilee Hill, Hyderabad. The kind of food this cafe is mostly famous for is South Indian Thalas. South Indian Thalas is basically where you have sambar or different types of dals, chutneys and two different types of sweets, different types of what do you say, rice such as pulaos, white rice. So these foods are basically served on a banana leaf and I would like to visit this cafe because of its ambience and aesthetics, the ambience are very lush greenery and very quiet, the music that plays is very soothing in that cafe and the menu is very vast. It is basically a Telugu medium kitchen where you tend to see all the pastly used terms such as nattu kodi, pulaos and Telangana spices that is basically used, so the Telangana spices such as lavangam etc. So I would like to visit this cafe for this because of the ambience, aesthetics etc. Cafe is beautiful and the price range is also very affordable. Many college students can also afford it. So this is the cafe that I want to visit.
