Growing up, I was keen on travelling to different places. Travelling was more of a hobby to me, where I used to love to explore different places and to see different cultures. In the recent times, I can remember the last trip which we were planning to Dubai got cancelled due to uncertain circumstances. We were planning to go to Dubai in 2024, where me and my family had decided to go in February, where the climate is the most beautiful and it's very pleasant to stay out there. The tourism is at its max peak during these days. However, during the same trip, there was a weather forecast where it showed delays and floods in Dubai. The flights got delayed and there were huge pouring rains which flooded the entire city, which gave us the fear that the travel visa might get rejected. However, it was very special for me. I was keen on going at all conditions, as it was my first international trip. At the end, we scheduled the month and we were hoping for it to go through and not get cancelled or stuck due to any uncertain weather. But at the end, there was no rain, so we had an enjoyable and happy trip. And the experience from the trip is what I carry on forever in my heart.

One trip I was really looking forward to but unfortunately got delayed was a vacation to Japan. I had been planning to go to Tokyo and Kaito with a group of friends during the cherry blossom season which is usually around late March to early April. I was extremely excited about this trip because I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture, food and especially the scenery during spring. We had made detailed plans to visit temples, try local street food and even booked tickets to a sumo wrestling match. The idea of experiencing the cherry blossoms in full bloom was something I have been dreaming about for years. However, just a few weeks before our departure, a major earthquake struck Japan and while the areas we planned to visit went heavily affected, the transformation systems were disrupted and some tourist sites were closed temporarily due to safety concerns and the uncertainty we had to choose but the postponed our trip. I felt really disappointed at first because we had been planning it for months and it was something I had been saving up for but at the same time I understood that safety comes first. We eventually rescheduled the trip for the following year and when we finally went it was absolutely worth the wait.

Follow up questions

What specific activities were you most excited about in Japan?
I was particularly excited about visiting historical temples, trying authentic Japanese street food, and attending a sumo wrestling match. The cherry blossoms were a major highlight, and I had planned to take lots of photos and enjoy picnics under the blooming trees.

How did you feel when you had to postpone your trip?
I felt really disappointed because I had been looking forward to this trip for so long. It was tough to accept the delay, especially after planning everything in detail. However, I understood the importance of safety and was grateful we could reschedule for the following year.

What did you learn from this experience?
I learned that sometimes, despite our best plans, unforeseen events can occur. It taught me the importance of flexibility and prioritizing safety. I also realized that good things come to those who wait, as our eventual trip was even more rewarding than I had imagined.

One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Well, I was planning to travel Jaipur, which is a pink city and a very well-known city of Rajasthan. Me and my husband were planning to travel that city and I was pregnant at that time and when we asked our doctor that we can go for this trip or not, they advised me that you can travel for this place but few days back before our travelling, my husband got his visa actually, he had applied for the visa for Canada and we got, he got his visa just two days before our trip. So we have to cancel our trip due to that reason and we both were very, you know, disheartened and when we, when the plan got cancelled but on the other hand, we were happy that he got his visa for, he wishes for that visa for too long actually. So yeah, that is the reason we cancelled our plan to Jaipur.

Well we were going to Singapore from Kuala Lumpur and it was a 3 day visit to Singapore for our 10th year anniversary and we were about to board from KL when just 30 minutes before the flight we had an announcement that the flight will be delayed for 1 hour. So we thought there was some weather problem or something like that but after waiting for 1 hour again there was an announcement by the security staff that there is some malfunction in the plane and it will take another 30-40 minutes to board. We were quite disturbed by that because we had planned a dinner date at Singapore and it was getting late, already late. So after waiting for another 40 minutes when we boarded the plane, the plane was about to take off and as soon as the engine started and the plane started to move there was like a big break put on by the pilot maybe and there was a very big jerk, it shook us all of us and we were like little scared what had happened. Then after 5 minutes the pilot said a bird had struck in front of the windshield of the plane and it has, the engine has malfunctioned something like that and we have to again unboard the flight and take another flight. It was quite an experience. We had planned to go to Singapore as it was our 10th anniversary and we were travelling from Kuala Lumpur and going to Singapore for this 3 day trip and it was a very eventful day because as soon as we had to board the flight there was a message by the security team that the flight is delayed for 1 hour and since we had planned a dinner date in Singapore at around 9pm we were already getting late so we were quite anxious and what time the flight will start. So after waiting for 1 hour when we boarded the flight and as soon as the pilot was starting the plane, after like just 30 seconds the plane, we had felt a very big jerk like the pilot had put on the brakes. We were all like surprised what has happened and then the pilot announced that a bird had struck the plane and it is not safe for us to travel further and we have to again unboard the flight and it was a quite scary experience for all of us. We then again got down from the plane and after 2 hours we had to take another flight which the airlines organised and then eventually we reached Singapore at around 8.30pm which was quite late as our dinner boat cruise was at 9pm so this was quite an eventful trip and our dinner date was affected by this. I wish the airline had a better arrangement for organising the second flight which it took a little earlier. So yes, this was a very bad experience I would say, travelling to Singapore with a Russian flight.

I always loved to go to Tirupati, which is a Vishnu Mandir located in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. I always planned to go to Tirupati every year, but because of some issues like I being engaged with my work and my husband being engaged with his work, we are unable to go to Tirupati. I always loved to go with my family, I always want my in-laws or my husband to accompany me to visit Tirupati. Tirumala Tirupati temple is an aesthetic, divine temple of Lord Vishnu, and it is a place where many rituals are performed. It is a place where they are doing lot of pujas and also lot of offerings are done over there. It has a very aesthetic and majestic environment. I love to stay there. There are different corridors and different darshanas available to visit the Lord in Tirupati. We have to book the ticket three months prior to go for the darshan. Because of our very busy working schedule, we are unable to plan our trip. But by the God's grace, we are planning to visit Tirumala Tirupati by within 20 days. We are now planning with our K2-3 families, we all go together and try to get our travel successful.

Sorry, we were about to board the flight and we were very excited here. So, the flight was delayed due to a thunderstorm that was taking place at the airport that day. So, we were waiting for about half an hour or so, the flight was delayed for another two hours and we were just loitering around in the airport looking for some food or coffee to get some energy back into our minds and body which didn't work in the end. So, what happened in the end was that the flight was ultimately cancelled and was rescheduled to another day which totally disappointed me but I did not lose my hope and I was managed to, even though the excitement was contained, we managed to go to the trip after two days. Actually, me and my family were planning to visit Switzerland this summer but due to Schengen visa issues, the plan and the trip got a little delayed. I was very excited to travel to the Alps and see the snow-clad mountains and of course visit the famous Toblerone Mountains present in Zermatt but due to this issue, maybe this summer we are not able to go but definitely we are planning to cover this mission by the winter breaks. It is one of my dream destination to go to Switzerland and I think Switzerland has become very common among Indians mainly due to Yash Chopra's film like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge where we witnessed beautiful luscious mountains and if it's winter then the snow-clad mountains. In Interlaken, I remember there is a space particularly provided to Yash Johar and Yash Chopra where the statue is there and we can take pictures from the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge posters and you know just enjoy skiing and making snowballs and throwing at each other so that experience is something which I am truly desiring and I am really hoping that in the winter breaks, we will definitely fulfill all those wishes. So still I am very elated and excited that we are going to visit and we are hoping within a month or two, we will receive our visas soon and we are able to complete our dream destination before this year ends.

Suddenly, it was a trip to Leh Ladakh. I wanted to visit the place for the serene beauty of mountains, the lakes and the chilling weather and I unfortunately couldn't make it just because at that time the weather conditions over there were harsh, lightning was stuck on several places at several locations where tourism was the most. So somehow, even if I had pleaded a lot to my parents, they didn't allow me to. But eventually, I made it. Finally, the next year I was allowed to have a solo trip to Leh Ladakh and I could experience all that beauty, the trek, the drive, the long drives and the minus degree weather, the beautiful sceneries and also the people and the food. Everything was so mesmerizing that I would always like to revisit the place again and again, maybe solo, maybe with my friends. So, it will always be the beautiful and memorable experience of my life as I love to connect with nature.

The place where I want to go since childhood and it was in my bucket list and it was just about to happen but due to some reason it got delayed and the place is Meghalaya, it's located in the northeastern region of India, it's a very beautiful, very amazing location because it is surrounded by the three hills which makes it more beautiful and the best part about this place is that it has the highest rainfall over there and it has amazing scenic views to witness, it's full of lush green and there are lot of other activities to engage into because it provides multiple adventurous activities such as rock climbing or be it a zip line and n number of activities, also the water bodies located around the area are so crystal clear that we can see our face as clear as we see it in the mirror, so I have never witnessed something so mesmerizing and I would love to go there but due to like one of my friend's work commitments, we had to cancel the plane and now it has been postponed in December and I'm looking forward to make it happen in December and soon we will be booking the flight tickets so that we all will be assured that we are going to be there in Meghalaya in December and yeah
