I would like to narrate an incident from a trip where I encountered danger. This was in the year 2018 when I went to Gokarna, a small beach town located in Karnataka with my college friends. The trip had magnificent views and picturesque valleys, but one day when we were coming back from the serene beach, our vehicle ran out of fuel. We were stuck in the middle of nowhere and I remember feeling absolutely terrified. Two of my friends who were travelling along with me were also very frustrated and felt helpless. I remember telling them to keep calm and composed while we wait for someone in the vehicle to help us. It was my patience and resilience in that moment that kept the calm of the group. Fortunately, we were rescued by a psychologist who was passing by that route and who offered to help us. Additionally, in the end of the day, we were able to reach out to the car company and make sure that our vehicle was relocated from that place and we were able to escape from the place we were stuck at. This entire anecdote reminded me about the importance of patience in challenging situations. That incident was very scary and frightening at first, but if I did not have my patience, I wouldn't be able to tackle that situation as a team leader. It is a significant value to hold for everyone and I recommend everyone to keep calm whenever they're faced with

Follow up questions

What did you learn from this experience?
I learned the importance of patience and resilience in challenging situations. This experience taught me that staying calm can help not only myself but also those around me. It reinforced the idea that teamwork and leadership are crucial when facing difficulties.

Would you handle a similar situation differently now?
Looking back, I believe I would still handle it similarly, but I would also prepare better for future trips. Ensuring we have enough fuel and a backup plan would be a priority. This experience has made me more cautious and aware of potential dangers during travels.

Last year, I visited Manali, a beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh, known for its snow-covered mountains and breathtaking landscape. It was the peak of the winter and I was very excited to experience the snow and enjoy activities like skying and trekking. On the third day of my trip, I decided to visit Solang Valley for some adventure sport. While traveling there, the weather suddenly changed. Heavy snowfall began, making the roads more slippery and difficult to navigate. Unfortunately, our car got stuck on the icy road and we couldn't move forward or backward. It was already late in the afternoon and we were worried about being stranded as the temperature began to drop rapidly. The situation was tense, but luckily some local people came to help. They guided us on how to put chains on the car tires for better grip and even helped to push a vehicle. It took about an hour to get back on the track, but their kindness and quick thinking saved the day. The experience taught me the importance of being prepared for unpredictable weather conditions in mountain areas. Despite the scare, it made the trip even more memorable. The rest of the journey went smoothly and I got to enjoy the stunning beauty of Manali, which was truly magical under the blanket of snow.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

It has already been a year from now. I went to a place called Gaganachukki, Barachukki Waterfalls, situated in Karnataka. This place is a beautiful place filled with lot of hills, mountains, greenery, lakes everywhere. On the way to our destination, we came across many peacocks, rabbits and deers while traveling. When we reached the destination, the place was mind-blowing. We saw the waterfalls from a very huge height falling down the floor. We also came to know that that force of the waterfalls was used to generate electricity for the nearby villages. The danger we encountered in the waterfalls was the monkeys. The monkeys were taking over your belongings and eatables you were carrying, we were carrying. So it was a tough situation dealing with the monkeys. It was a wonderful trip since it was my last trip with my friends who were from my college days.

We tried to keep our bags closed and held onto our food tightly. We also made sure to stay alert and avoid leaving anything unattended, as the monkeys were quite bold and quick to snatch things away.

At first, it was amusing to see the monkeys, but it quickly turned into a stressful situation. We were worried about losing our things, and it was a bit frightening to see them so aggressive. However, we managed to laugh it off later.

Would you recommend visiting Gaganachukki and Barachukki Waterfalls to others?
Absolutely! Despite the monkey incident, the beauty of the waterfalls and the surrounding nature is breathtaking. It's a great place for adventure and enjoying nature, just be cautious with your belongings!

A trip where I encountered danger would be when I went to a trek in Malavi, which is near Pune with my friends and her family. It was a rainy day and the trek route was quite difficult. It was full of stones and due to rain, the water was flowing, which made it more difficult to get proper grip on the rock. I once had a knee injury, so I usually have fear of heights and anything which makes me climb. So I wanted to overcome this fear and I decided to join them. The trek was quite slippery and as expected, I slipped, but I was saved by other trekkers nearby. Although there were no injuries from all, I did not have any injuries on me, so we decided to continue with the trek. At that time, I was very overwhelmed. It also added to the current fear which I had of heights, but it was a memorable day. Since the view was quite beautiful when we reached up, it made me feel accomplished. It gave me a feeling that I have overcome one fear, since I was able to take part in this journey till the end.

I went on a Nepal trip on 1st of January 2025. That day was a very exciting day of my life. I went to Nepal to see mountains, to do jungle safari and much more. So I went to a jungle safari that day and there were many animals. We were on a jungle safari. They arranged one type of vehicles like a truck, open truck, where we have to sit. And they took you on a tour inside the jungle. There were many types of dangerous animals like lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino and much more animals are there. I can't say all of those names but there were many. And there were snakes, insects, new type of birds which I haven't seen in my life. And then we went to see sea animals. There was a small lake. Inside that there were many types of fish, crocodile, alligator and much more. We enjoyed that trip. But that was dangerous too because any animals can attack on your vehicles. So we have two guards to protect us. They have weapons too if animals attack so they can defend it. After that we came back home and that was a very extra fabulous experience of my life. And it was awesome I guess so. That's it.

I feel one of the trips that I've recently been to has been to Birbiling which is in Himachal Pradesh and I had gone there with a bunch of friends last autumn. One of the best things that we did over there was paragliding which was quite exhilarating and also quite mesmerizing. Furthermore I feel that we were going from from the perspective of chasing a thrill and we definitely accomplished that. Overall the experience did give me a sense of satisfaction along with a sense of adrenaline rush. Initially when we had gone on top of the mountain it did feel quite scary and I really feared for my life. However as we decided to finally put up on the gear and get ready to fly I feel all the fear just fizzled away and we were just there once we took off enjoying the view and recording everything that was going around me getting a 360 degree view. So overall I did get the true sense of how our existence feels like because being so many kilometers up in the air when you look down you really see how small everything is and how minuscule our problems can be and that did give me a sense of nirvana and overall also a thrill-chasing experience it had been overall.

The danger that I encountered during a trip was one when I visited Dubai with my friends. So we took the first flight to Dubai from India and when we landed there everything went pretty smooth. We checked in on one of the good hotels at Dubai. It was a 5 star hotel and we paid to stay there for 3 nights. And when we were just coming outside of the hotel room, we got bitten by a stray dog and you know we did not expect that, no one will expect that because you are inside a premium hotel and the securities will be obviously strengthened so that no outsiders can enter. But I don't know how a dog was allowed inside the hotel premises. My friend got bitten severely by the dog and we had to rush her to the hospital and she underwent treatment there for quite some time. The doctors although told that the wound was not that deep and she is safe but this particular incident just hitched in our memory forever and after the incident I felt really guilty on what had happened because I was the person who planned the entire trip and brought together all of my friends and I just took it very personally that the stray dog bit my friend rather than me and yeah that's about it.

So, it was couple of months before I went to this place known as Goa and I encountered a danger activity over there. So, we were traveling in a boat one particular day and the boat almost flipped into the water and somehow the driver, the boat driver could save us and yeah. So, there was a place known as Goa we recently traveled to and we were living by in a hotel. We were in Goa for a couple of days and once we left the hotel and reached the home back we got a news that there were robbers which came into that hotel and they robbed all of them, the foreigners and they ran away. It was quite dangerous but I believe that we were safe. We just left the hotel the day it was going to happen and we luckily got saved by that. So, that was danger. I think, I feel it was and I feel this is inappropriate. If there was a good security over there this couldn't have been happened and people would be saved by getting robbed by the robbers.

Hi Myself Amit Rajesh, so one of the trips which I felt might be so much danger and happened was the rain jam. So hi Myself Amit Rajesh, so I had a few experiences which I felt really bad to review which I still am having a trauma of going through that place once again. It was on a fine morning on 15th June 2024, me and my family was travelling to Rameshwaram and unfortunately the moment we stepped out of the bus, we got robbed. That's one of the worst experiences we had. We had run to a police station and the police station was so irresponsible that we were so shocked out and it was really hard time there and it almost took us two days to receive our stolen goods. Hi Myself Amit Rajesh, so the incident took back in 2015, it was a fine morning in Andhra Pradesh. Me and my family went for trip there to meet my cousins and just to have some family function. So it was a fine morning about 10.30 am when we stepped out of the bus which we travelled through Andhra Pradesh, we were suddenly getting robbed. Two people travelling in bike came towards us, robbed our bags and ran away through the bike. It was so hazardous, the assault that we were in was so tremendous that we didn't know what to do next. It's still a trauma which we have right now that we cannot ever travel to that place again. Yeah, so we were stumbled, so we tried to contact police but they were not able to do anything and we almost stayed about one to two weeks in order to get our goods back. So it was a terrible experience, still a trauma which we are not able to overcome. So that was one of the things which was hard.
