When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The environmentalist I admire is my elder brother who currently works in a corporate company although he tries to serve nature and help animals who reside in jungles to get better life. He always used to say or he always tells me that it is our responsibility to conserve our nature and respect it. He is fully dedicated towards conserving it and helps grow the flora and fauna around me. The place where I reside it is in a drought area. Although it is drought we are always aware of how to make it more residable or useful for animals. He tries to plant at least a tree or a bunch of tree every week. He helps the people who are suffering from the loss because of the drought. He always used to say it is our duty to serve the nature and helping ever and hurting never. He tries to arrange the stones in such a way that when rain when raining is going on the water should be stored and it is useful for the animals. He says the steps that we take today will help for our next generations. It is our responsibility to help mother nature by doing such activities because whatever we are getting today is because of it. Natural resources such as air, light or any other fuels that we receive by nature we are payable to it.

If I have to talk about the person who I look forward to... If I have to talk about the person who helps to protect the environment... I have to take my father as my role model. My hometown is in a deserted area. You know how desert has less trees and everything. We say that there is no water and those things. But let me tell you something. My father, what has he done? He has created a complete garden in our society. So basically he goes there every day, water the plants and trees. He helps them grow vegetables and all of them in the same garden. So it's an open area. Everyone has access to it. They can see how he is working. Some people also came to help him. After the collaborative efforts of my whole society... Now they have a complete garden where children can play. People can go for walks. It's like he brings the people together. He brought the people together to learn and grow the plants and trees. He is teaching them the importance of the plants. So whenever there is a function there... We all come together there and listen to people. We enjoy ourselves in the garden. He started with nothing. When he was in the army, he didn't want to be free anytime. So he did that there only. I really enjoy it. Whenever I see the garden, whenever I go home... That's the first thing I see. I go there, sit there and play with my friends, talk to people. I get to connect with people there all the time. It really helps everyone. It's really motivational to me that how that person... He had nothing there. He created a complete garden out of nothing in a deserted area. It really excites me and makes me proud.

A person who helped and helps to protect the environment is this old woman from the state of Tamil Nadu. Though I forgot her name, I remember that she planted over 1000 trees in the span of 80 years. For this, she received a very prestigious award from the President of India known as the Padma Bhushan which is usually given to the people in the service sector. Not only this, she inspired many people in India to plant trees for the sake of future generations and also she inspired many women and men from her community to plant trees which is now become a huge forest and is a home to many wild animals and birds. I admire her because of her patience and the challenges she had gone through in her life. Despite that, she always stayed strong and helped people to give an eco-friendly environment.

I'd like to talk about my uncle, Rajesh, who is very passionate about protecting the environment. He lives in a small town and works as a school teacher, but outside of work, he spends a lot of his time involved in environmental activities. One of the main actions he takes is organizing tree plantations drives every month. He works with local schools and community groups to plant trees in open spaces and encourage people to take care of them. Over the past two years, he and his team have planted hundreds of trees in our area. He also promotes rainwater harvesting and has even installed a system at his own house, which has inspired many of his neighbors to do the same. Another way he protects the environment is by reducing plastic use. He always carries reusable bags, avoids single-use plastics, and educates others about the harmful effects of plastic pollution. In fact, he once gave a presentation at my school about how students can make small changes like using metal bottles and saying no to the plastic straw. He really inspires others through his actions. He's not just talking about change, he lives it every day. Because of him, many people in our community have started becoming more environmentally responsible. Even I have started using less plastics and have participated in a few tree plantation events with him. I admire him a lot because he's consistent and genuinely cares about the planet. He doesn't do it for fame or rewards. He does it because he believes in making the world better for future generations.

The person whom I admire for protecting the environment is none other than my beautiful sister. Since from my childhood, she used to plant a lot of trees and plants in our streets. Due to her persistent effort, we can have a lot of shade in our streets. It took years for us to realize the way she has been handling her environment. It inspired me to adopt Therese Corden at our residence. Even though she is not graduated in environmental activities, I still consider her as an environmentalist.

One person I would like to talk about is my friend. She was my classmate who was also a fashion designer. She was extremely passionate about sustainability and make a real effort to protect the environment through her work. What makes her stand out is a unique approach to the fashion. She reuses all recycled old clothes to create an entirely new outfit. So instead of buying new fabrics or reducing waste, she used to collect second-hand garments, unused textile or even damaged clothes and creatively transform them into a stylish piece. For example, she once turned an old pair of jeans and a faded cotton shirt into a trendy jacket and skirt set. Her designs are not only environmental friendly but also very fashionable which inspire people to look at recycled fashion into a new light. As a person, she's very thoughtful and highly driven and creative. She's genius. We care about the planet and always try to educate others on the importance of sustainable living. She often shares tips on social medias about how to reduce waste, recycle clothes or repurpose household items. I really admire her because she proves that small action when done consistently and creatively can make a big difference. She has managed to blend her passion for fashion with a strong environmental message and that's something I find truly inspiring about her. She's a great example of how we can all contribute to protecting the environment in our own way.

A person who helps to protect the environment is my grandmother. I saw it first hand as a child. There was a huge storm that had hit our hometown that resulted in a loss of life and livelihood as well as affecting the environment. A lot of trees died after the storm and since it affected the land due to erosion, new trees were not growing. So my grandmother took it upon herself to restore the biodiversity of the environment. She started by planting small saplings in our garden and seeing her, other children in the neighborhood got inspired and joined in. I was 6 or 7 years old when I saw a huge crowd gathering outside our house talking about what steps to take to restore biodiversity. But after that some people wanted to cut down the trees for making buildings. But my neighborhood people along with my grandmother's support stopped that. From her I learnt to plant saplings for the first time and after 15 years I see those saplings grown into big trees and it makes me really proud and happy that I learnt it from someone close to my family.

A person who helps to protect the environment, I would like to talk about my best friend. Her name is Nanda. She is really fond of nature. I used to go to school with her and even sit in the same bench. I have known her for 15 years. She studied botany. She chose that degree because she wanted to study more about nature, environment and greenery. She always teaches me the importance of ecology and how to clean and how to avoid depletion in nature. She also takes very significant measures to improve the environmental effects. The main thing I have seen in her is that whenever I go to her home, she never uses plastic. She always uses something like wood or paper products. That was the main reason I thought that she is a very good person. She wants to help nature. She wants to build a good environment. I am really fond of this character of hers. She even takes campaigns and seminars at schools and offices to make them aware of the importance of nature.

One person I really admire for their efforts to protect the environment is my friend Vishnu who is an environmental science graduate and currently works with an NGO that focuses on waste management and sustainability. I met Vishnu during a climate awareness seminar at my university around 2 years ago, we got talking after the event and I was really impressed by her dedication to environment causes. Since then we stayed in touch and even volunteered together for few clean up drives. She is incredibly passionate about reducing plastic waste. In fact, she started a small initiative in our local community to promote reusable bags and containers. What I found most inspiring about her is that she practices what she preaches. She rides a bicycle instead of using a car, avoids fast fashion. Being around her has made me more conscious of own habits. I have started carrying a reusable bag, water bottle and avoiding single use plastic whenever I can. I truly admire her commitment. She is not just talking about the problem, she is actively doing something to make difference. I think people like her are exactly what the world needs right now.

    Band 7

One person I would like to talk about is my school teacher Mr. Verma. He teaches science, but more than that he is a strong environmentalist and always motivates students to take care of nature. He protects the environment in many ways, for example, he never uses plastic bags, he always carries a cloth bag for shopping, he also rides a bicycle to school instead of using a vehicle which helps reduce air pollution. At school, he started a small garden with students where we grow plants and learn about composting using kitchen waste. I really admire Mr. Verma because he not only talks about protecting the environment but also protects it in daily life. He inspired me and many other students to him a more eco-friendly lifestyle. I believe if more people followed his example, the world would be a much cleaner and healthier place.
