When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

    Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The environmentalist I admire is my elder brother who currently works in a corporate company although he tries to serve nature and help animals who reside in jungles to get better life. He always used to say or he always tells me that it is our responsibility to conserve our nature and respect it. He is fully dedicated towards conserving it and helps grow the flora and fauna around me. The place where I reside it is in a drought area. Although it is drought we are always aware of how to make it more residable or useful for animals. He tries to plant at least a tree or a bunch of tree every week. He helps the people who are suffering from the loss because of the drought. He always used to say it is our duty to serve the nature and helping ever and hurting never. He tries to arrange the stones in such a way that when rain when raining is going on the water should be stored and it is useful for the animals. He says the steps that we take today will help for our next generations. It is our responsibility to help mother nature by doing such activities because whatever we are getting today is because of it. Natural resources such as air, light or any other fuels that we receive by nature we are payable to it.

A person who helps to protect the environment is my grandmother. I saw it first hand as a child. There was a huge storm that had hit our hometown that resulted in a loss of life and livelihood as well as affecting the environment. A lot of trees died after the storm and since it affected the land due to erosion, new trees were not growing. So my grandmother took it upon herself to restore the biodiversity of the environment. She started by planting small saplings in our garden and seeing her, other children in the neighborhood got inspired and joined in. I was 6 or 7 years old when I saw a huge crowd gathering outside our house talking about what steps to take to restore biodiversity. But after that some people wanted to cut down the trees for making buildings. But my neighborhood people along with my grandmother's support stopped that. From her I learnt to plant saplings for the first time and after 15 years I see those saplings grown into big trees and it makes me really proud and happy that I learnt it from someone close to my family.

A person who helps to protect the environment, I would like to talk about my best friend. Her name is Nanda. She is really fond of nature. I used to go to school with her and even sit in the same bench. I have known her for 15 years. She studied botany. She chose that degree because she wanted to study more about nature, environment and greenery. She always teaches me the importance of ecology and how to clean and how to avoid depletion in nature. She also takes very significant measures to improve the environmental effects. The main thing I have seen in her is that whenever I go to her home, she never uses plastic. She always uses something like wood or paper products. That was the main reason I thought that she is a very good person. She wants to help nature. She wants to build a good environment. I am really fond of this character of hers. She even takes campaigns and seminars at schools and offices to make them aware of the importance of nature.

One person I really admire for their efforts to protect the environment is my friend Vishnu who is an environmental science graduate and currently works with an NGO that focuses on waste management and sustainability. I met Vishnu during a climate awareness seminar at my university around 2 years ago, we got talking after the event and I was really impressed by her dedication to environment causes. Since then we stayed in touch and even volunteered together for few clean up drives. She is incredibly passionate about reducing plastic waste. In fact, she started a small initiative in our local community to promote reusable bags and containers. What I found most inspiring about her is that she practices what she preaches. She rides a bicycle instead of using a car, avoids fast fashion. Being around her has made me more conscious of own habits. I have started carrying a reusable bag, water bottle and avoiding single use plastic whenever I can. I truly admire her commitment. She is not just talking about the problem, she is actively doing something to make difference. I think people like her are exactly what the world needs right now.

One person I would like to talk about is my school teacher Mr. Verma. He teaches science, but more than that he is a strong environmentalist and always motivates students to take care of nature. He protects the environment in many ways, for example, he never uses plastic bags, he always carries a cloth bag for shopping, he also rides a bicycle to school instead of using a vehicle which helps reduce air pollution. At school, he started a small garden with students where we grow plants and learn about composting using kitchen waste. I really admire Mr. Verma because he not only talks about protecting the environment but also protects it in daily life. He inspired me and many other students to him a more eco-friendly lifestyle. I believe if more people followed his example, the world would be a much cleaner and healthier place.

When I think of a person who really helps in protecting the environment, I think of my friend Rwanda. She's two years younger to me and currently finishing her Masters in UX UI Management and I feel like I have never met anyone like her. And not only does she have a sense of cleanliness wherever she goes, she ensures that she's inspiring everyone around her to do the same. The first time that I witnessed this was when we were on a trip to Manali and I saw how after eating anything she would keep the wrappers back in her pocket. She was like, as long as I don't spill garbage everywhere I'm going and all the garbage is in my own bags, I do not mind. When I do find a trash can, I'll get rid of these. It inspired me to do the same. I have also seen the way she cleans her apartment or every space that she's residing at without fail. In fact, once I remember we'd gone to this cliff for a view watching experience and she started cleaning the garbage around that area. Her response to this was, I'm coming to this place to witness this beauty, why must I witness all this trash around too? If only more people thought like her. But I don't think this thinking process is that difficult to achieve. Vrinda over the last two years has organized so many cleanliness drives across Juhu beach and Dogmalo beach and made sure that she informs all her friends of it. This attitude of hers has actually permeated to all of us also. She also works for the Act for Goa project, which shows that she not only believes in this but embodies this sense of life as well. I agree, cleanliness is next to godliness and she's a living proof because she continues to do the same everywhere. She's the perfect example of what it means to care for the environment.

In this day and age of exacerbating climate change due to global warming, environmental concerns have become a reality of our lives. Environmental conservation has attained immense importance in the recent times if we wish to attain a sustainable future. A person who I have seen practice what they preach in the context of saving the environment has to be my mentor and the person who I work for, Justice M.M. Sundaresh. Being a judge of the Supreme Court of India and a previous judge of the Madras High Court, he has authored various judicial pronouncements on the importance of conserving the environment, the forests, rivers, trees, the significance of using recycled products and the need for controlling our contribution to environmental pollution. In his real life also I have seen him engage in activities such as gardening and also the use of renewable energy resources and products which not only cause less pollution but also end up using lesser resources. Even though he is a judge of the Supreme Court, being one of the most important persons in the country his simple lifestyle, his down to earth demeanor and his

Today I am going to tell you about my next door neighbor who I consider the perfect example of environmental friendly person. For a little background information, her name is Anjali and she is 30, currently a retired environmentalist. No wonder she has such a hug impact on neighborhood and my family in terms of protecting the ecology. To be more specific, the most impressive she has done is definitely pioneering the classification of rubbish. Back then, my neighborhood used the traditional method of throwing all the trash into one single container and letting the trash processor at the factory classify it themselves, which cost a lot of time and money. Seeing these difficulties, she held a conference among all the other residents in the neighborhood to discuss the issue and propose a plan for each family to use three bins to classify the trash into renewable, recyclable and non-recyclable and other types. Honestly, to my belief that the person who gave the idea completely rejected due to the convenience of using the one single bin, it was widely accepted. Now in front of every house I see three bins to classify the trash and here influence was so significant that I would often throw trash into one bin just for convenience. Actually I bought the two other bins and started classifying them to help protect the environment.

A person that I remember whose life was really motivated to protect the environment was my own grandfather. I remember that my grandfather is a farmer and he has a policy of growing, of planting at least a tree every month. Also he was a government teacher, so he used to inspire his own students to plant a tree and under his initiative around one lakh trees have been planted already. And as a teacher, he has shaped the individual who will inspire the future generation to protect the environment and to safeguard our nature. So taking inspiration from my own grandfather, that at the age of 50 and 60, he used to work in the plantations and agriculture land really motivated me. As I have been living in the city since my childhood, so whenever I visit him during summer vacation, I see him working on the fields in great Indian summer. So it really motivated me and even I started following this practice and try to either support such environmental causes or even participate in such activities that are beneficial.

There are many persons who are willing to protect the environment. Today I am going to talk about a person who is willing to protect the environment. This person is my friend. He is my one of the favorite friend which comes in the top of my list. He is a partner in an NGO who protects environment. He contributes to the environment protection by different ways. He roams around the roads and make the campus to tell uneducated people about the environmental issues and make them inside of it. I want to be like him because he is so confident and have a charming look which makes me adore him. But there are many other things that how he contributes to environmental protection. He writes letters to the editor of various newspapers as newspapers are very famous in the current world. People usually read it which makes them get the knowledge of environmental protection. Along with it, governing bodies will also be having a side view for this same. Through this, governing bodies have a major power to make this protection come true. It can be protected by making different kinds of park in which environment can be protected. Through this, my friend has made a lot of progress in this field and I want to be like him as he is so confident. He is like courage. I want to be like him.
