When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, on this topic, I would like to talk about my dad, Mr. Dawood Ghai. He is very fond of nature and loves to spend time in the wild. My dad believes that Mother Nature is something which is very crucial for human existence. He usually takes up many activities during the weekends to grow more plants and protect the environment. He always grows plants in our backyard and makes sure to take care of them regularly. He hosts many tree plantations, drives across the town and encourages individuals to step up and take a step towards Mother Nature. He has been my role model as whenever I see him working, I feel that he is doing great work and without any financial motive. He also regularly takes and hosts public lectures and invites people from different religions to make them aware about our surroundings and the importance of trees and Mother Nature in our day-to-day life. He makes people aware about the climate change. Moreover, I love his personality and the way he represents his ideas and thoughts so that it is understood clearly across all the people.

If I have to talk about a person who helps to protect the environment, then it is my grandmother. She always tried to protect the environment and not harm it. She never throws plastic bags here and there. She always carries jute bags or cloth bags when going to market so that there is less use of plastic bags. Since my childhood, I have seen her undying love for plants and trees. In my house itself, there are more than 30 varieties of plants and trees and all of them are grown by my grandmother. Whenever there is a special occasion, she always plants some trees. Because according to her, planting trees not only makes us happy but it also gives us fresh air thus indirectly making us healthier. In our house, we have some fruit trees, some flower plants and some other air cleaning plants. Whenever she goes somewhere, she always looks for varieties of plants and trees and talks about how this plant is good and how it can benefit us.

She began with a solitary school strike. One person I deeply admire for their environmental work is Greta Thunberg. She is a young Swedish activist who gained international fame for her incredibly powerful stance on climate change. What makes her so remarkable is the action she took. She began with a solitary school strike outside the Swedish parliament. Which then inspired millions of other young people around the world to join the Fridays for Future movement. The simple yet incredible brave act showed how one person's conviction can ignite a global conversation. Her primary way of inspiring others is through her direct and unapologetic communication. She speaks at major conferences like the UN and fearlessly calls out world leaders for their inaction. All based on scientific facts. This directness and her refusal to sugarcoat the truth have made her a voice of a generation. I admire her because she demonstrates that you don't need a position of power to make a difference. You just need courage, integrity and a strong belief. One person I deeply admire for their environmental work is Greta Thunberg. The one person who I admire is a professor from my college which is in Nuxur. She has done her PhD in environmental sciences and she was our ex-director of the college. She has brought about a lot of changes in the college with environmental free vehicles which is electric vehicles in the campus for travelling because our campus is in the outskirts of Karnataka. So I feel she has done a lot and given a lot to the nature through her research area, through her post-doc and other endeavours. She is a very nice woman inside out and is a very down to earth person and I admire that a lot. Although she has achieved a lot in her career in the environmental sciences, she is equally helpful and friendly to all the ones who clean her environment and water her plants because she is not able to do it on a daily basis but she also makes a point to make her own manure and feed it to the plants. She calls it feeding the plants and not watering the plants. I think these are the smallest details which makes her a person who she is today. The one thing that inspired me a lot is the tree counting area which is slightly beside our campus where there are a lot of trees. There was a start-up which was done from our college which is Arbor Tag. They use tagging trees to the different species of trees so that it can be dragged down and the health of it can be monitored. It is a unicorn but that is a story.

I would like to name here an organization instead of a person. This organization called Pune River Revival is striving to protect the rivers and the Liberian flora and fauna around the rivers in Pune. They basically map the trees along the riverside and document it so that the government or the contractors cannot illegally cut down the trees without duly notifying about it. They are doing this because there is a riverfront development project that's been sanctioned late and thousands of trees will be cut for the scene and the city would be deprived of its booming green tree and its very lungs. The surrounding areas would also become prone to floods because the trees hold on to the soil and take up excess water so that flooding doesn't happen. But if you cut down the trees, flooding is bound to happen. Hence, even I am participating in this organization on a volunteer basis and we hope to be able to stop this riverfront development project in the higher good of the society and the people.

One person I admire for protecting the environment is Greta Thunberg, the young climate activist from Sweden. She became well-known a few years ago when she started skipping school every day to protest outside the Swedish apartment. Sorry, sorry, I made a mistake. One person I admire for protecting the environment is Greta Thunberg, the young climate activist from Sweden. She became well-known a few years ago when she started skipping school every day to protest outside the Swedish parliament demanding stronger action on the climate change. What makes her so inspiring is her persistence. She has spoken at huge international events like the United Nations Climate Summit, telling the world leaders to listen to the science and to act before it's too late. She travels mostly by train or boat instead of flying to reduce her carbon footprint, and she encourages others to make similar lifestyle changes, which is really inspiring. Her efforts have sparked a global movement called Fridays for Future, where millions of students in different countries have joined the climate strikes. Even I was a part of it. I think that what makes her stand out is her ability to turn a personal concern into a worldwide convention. Even though she is so young, I admire her because she is not just talking about the problem, she is living according to her values and takes real discipline. She is one of the proof that one determined person can make a difference even against huge challenges. These are the few reasons that I admire her, and there are a list of many more reasons that make me adore her.

The person who I admire the most when it comes to protecting the environment is definitely my grandfather. He has been an environmentalist for a really long time. As far as I remember, from a really young age he has motivated and promoted me to plant more trees and compost my waste and reuse it as a soil fertilizer. It was a really fun experience for me as a kid. So whenever we used to go to our farmhouse as a kid, he used to make me see all the trees that were growing, water them, take care of them, keep a record of how the trees are growing. Later on, when I grew up a little more, he had organized a community meeting of our neighborhood and made everyone in the neighborhood start composting their waste and built a huge composter in the community garden for everyone to use. So everyone would have to go and dump their waste, segregate it properly and dump it in the composter and later use that same compost as a natural fertilizer for the plants. So he really motivated everyone in the neighborhood to do the same. And furthermore, he also made a community center inside our neighborhood so that people could come and discuss about the environmental issues that they are having around them or somewhere in their city where my grandfather could give some ideas about how they can improve the environmental crisis and maybe make something that is better for the nature, better for the animals around there.

One person I really admire for helping to protect the environment is Sir David Attenborough. He is a British naturalist, broadcaster and environmentalist who has spent decades educating people around the world about the beauty of nature and importance of conserving it. Through his documents like Planet Earth and Our Planet, he has shown millions of viewers how incredible wildlife and ecosystem are. From the deep oceans to dense rainforests, but moreover than just showing nature, he also talks about damage we humans cause like plastic pollution, climate change, deforestation and species extinction. What makes him stand out is his calm, wise voice and his passion for the nature world. Even though he is over 90 years old, he still speaks out strongly on environmental issues and he has even addressed the United Nations and world leaders urging them to take immediate actions. Thanks to people like him, many others, including young people, have become more aware and involved in protecting the planet. He is a great example how one person can make a big impact just by spreading knowledge and encouraging change.

When I worked in an industry, I came to meet Mr. Raghav. He is a person who always loves the environment and the surroundings he lives in. He has always tried to speak about the environment and how to protect the environment. He conducted some speech classes to the students at the college level and school level and encouraged the new generation to protect the environment. Also, he tried to convert the green land, that is, there is no cultivation there. He converted the land to an agricultural area. Moreover, he cultivated many items like vegetables, peas and dragon fruits. Furthermore, he also created a pond for fish farming. He encouraged people in the industry to come to this kind of agriculture and farming and protect the environment by reusing the waste of plants and fish for biogas generation.
