When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

A person who helps protect the environment is probably my dad. I've seen him work closely. He initiates a lot of cleanliness drives where he is removing the plastics of the city and he's cleaning the local areas, he's planting more trees and he has a lot of programs lined up which spread awareness on how people should start taking care of their environment and how they should be protecting the plants and trees around them, how they should plant more trees and what really is important to us and humanity. And I feel very inspired from him because I've seen him work day and night just to clean roads and remove plastics and get rid of all the dirt that lies next to the roads that could cause problems to the fishes in the water, the birds and planting.

So, actually, this is a great question because my mom, she is a person who really enjoys protecting the environment. I would say she is a person who is like really close to the nature. From since I've known her, she, like whatever space she has, she tries to come up with something in a way that it will be beneficial to the nature and not only to the nature, but also to us human beings. Even though we were actually in Bahrain before and there we were living in a flat, so we had a balcony. So, we don't, like my mom, she did not have much space to grow vegetables or anything like that. Also, the climate there, it does not, it's rarely rains there. But even though with such a small space and limited factors, she tried to make something out of it, something that will give merit to the nature. So, she started a small garden and we had a park near our flat which had so many trees and the leaf was very green. My mom, whenever she used to get time, she actually used to go to school, come back, take tuitions. She was a very busy person. But even through all of that, whenever she used to get time, she used to go and water those plants. She used to go and do things which she could do for the nature and not only that, she also inspires other people in many ways, like clearly, as we are in India, we have a huge garden She has kind of planted everything you could imagine of. The lunch we eat is with the vegetables she grew at her farm. And whenever people see this, whenever my classmates see this, they kind of get inspired and they go and tell their mothers to do this.

My grandfather is the person whom I have seen to protect for the environment or care for the environment actually without giving much thought. Because his actions innately are in support of environmental conservation like for example he would always make it a point to turn off the lights and fans when it is not required anymore. He doesn't waste water, he is very careful while using water from a tap. He doesn't use the entire force on it. He doesn't open it to the entire extent. He also makes sure that never to waste food. He doesn't, the other actions, he always takes his own cloth bags to supermarkets whenever he has to get anything. He tries to avoid plastic as much as he can and whenever he has to throw out any plastic materials he would usually recycle them and give it to the municipality. So those are certain actions that I have seen him doing and it's a very innate habit of his. So that is something I really admire. He doesn't do it out of too much thought. It just comes very naturally for him. So that is something I really admire.

A person who helps to protect the environment is none other than my mother. She is very much into the plantations and growing trees. Furthermore, she also won't let any plastic or any type of materials that would harm the soil be thrown irresponsibly. Also, she keeps everything clean all the time. She is the one I admire and learn so much in protecting the environment. And have been practicing her methods like planting trees and having a habit of not throwing the wastage on the roads etc. And minimizing the usage of my vehicles for a short range of traveling like to the corner of my street. And I also use bicycles most of the time to travel the short ranges of areas. Thank You Also, my grandfather is an environmentalist. He also loves plantations and he had a big garden in his house. He still protects it even at the age of 60.

I want to tell about a person who because of whom Mumbai is breathing a good air. Mumbai city is breathing a good air just because of Natubhai Jamnilal who lives in Ghatkopar area in Mumbai city. He is from my neighborhood only so I used to get the stories about him since my childhood. In the start of the industrialization in the Mumbai city, there were lots of deforestation to make new industries and plants to give jobs to the persons, give jobs to the immigrants who are coming from all over India to Mumbai for jobs. But because of Natubhai Jamnilal he had stopped first the Godrej deplantation project on which the Godrej company was planning to do a high-scale deforestation to make their industries. Because of Natubhai Jamnilal the Kanjumag shed is not being made. The metro station was about to be made on a forest area. Just because of him it is stopped and the actions and the protest taken by him the Kanjumag station was built on a barren land. He plants trees wherever it is required and because of him the Sanjay Gandhi National Park was saved. It is one of the biggest forest in Mumbai and he used to advertise it to save everything.

    Band 6-7

The person who protects the environment, the first name that came into my mind is Sant Gadge Papa Maharaj. He was an old saint, born around 1800 century. And he spread so much awareness in our society about cleanliness. Every morning he wake up early before everyone else and clean the houses. He does that work selflessly without anything in return. Looking at him, so many young child inspired by them and they also clean the area where they live and also the social places like river, temple and other famous places in their villages. He is a well known personality in Maharashtra and all over India. There are so many prizes on behalf of him. He was from the upper caste but he never did the religion or caste differences. Everyone used to respect him.

    Band 6-7

I want to choose the person from my surrounding. So, in Kandur district there is a person who named Krishnan. He is an old person and professionally he is an auto driver. What makes him different is that he cleans the backwater lakes which is very polluted with water bottles and also some other waste which people used to throw in the lakes. So, whenever he completes his job and he then wear gloves and some footwear and enter into the backwater lakes which is very important for our environment and he alone clears that lakes which is filled with plastic waste. So, he used to clean like two to three covers filled with waste and he throw them somewhere. So, the municipality noticed him and the municipality tried to help him also and also there is a lot of young people who has been inspired by him and they also are creating some campaigns and help. They are going to clean the lakes. So, if the place is not accessible then he go with some small boats and go further and remove whatever comes to his hand and according to records he has cleared some hundreds of covers filled with plastic waste and I think it is really important to clean our water resources because they are dying with a lot of plastic waste because plastic doesn't degrade easily. So, it is very important and I really admire him because of that and he is a person who inspires the young people.

So the person that helps to protect the environment that I know is my uncle. He lives in the same town as I am. So when I was in school, I remember at that time he was working in the forest department in our locality. He used to come to our school to guide the children about the benefits of saving the environment and how they can help in protecting the environment. He takes various steps like volunteering in different schools, taking school children along with him to the forest to teach something about the wildlife and also the protection of the birds. He teaches the children how to plant trees and how to take care of themselves. Right now he is retired but he has a job.

    Band 6-7

A person residing near our locality is the most environment conscious person from my perspective and his name is Rahul and talking about the relationship, he is my maternal uncle's son. And as we are brought up together since our early childhood, but there are some variations in our hobbies as I was much indulged in musical activities, but he was so much emphasized on the environmental concerns and always want to delve into the beauty of nature as he found kind of profound attraction towards the nature. And furthermore talking about his achievements, he has started a kind of NGO in sake of protecting environment from the alarming rate of pollution where he has formed a team of 20 members from our nearby district and gathered some volunteers which could provide any kind of help such as financial aid. And so far he has done a lot of work in protecting environment as once a day he abducted or stopped kind of an infrastructure development which was leading to kind of destruction of an whole forest and after his brave act, chief minister of our country also praised him and appreciated him for his work and provided him a kind of suitable document which was able to portray his ability to draw concern towards environment. And lastly I would like to say he is the most environment conscious person I have ever met.
