When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One of my very close friends has a unique way of locking in and it's not the Pomodoro method where you study for 25 minutes and take a break for 5 minutes, it's not as simple as that. Those are the methods that I've tried for myself and I've worked quite a bit but it's still not as satisfactory or as demanding or doesn't meet the demand which it should be doing because personally my job and my academics require me to lock in for a very long time and continuously code till I reach the point where I can't anymore physically and it's not very healthy but it's a habit that my friend has and I really aspire to have it one day. It's a 5 second rule basically. So the problem with me and a lot of people in my generation is that we seek instant gratification and we are accustomed to it by scrolling reels and watching short form content but this is not healthy as well and I know this, it comes from a very toxic place personally and for everyone else but it's very hard to shake it off as well at the same time. So my friend advised me and told me about this 5 second rule where I just focus on what I want to do and what will happen if I don't do it in like 2 days or 3 days, how much work will pile up for me personally and I have to sit and think about it for quite some time and start working. It's called 5 second rule but it's not really 5 seconds and start working and for the first 5 minutes be very logical.

Well, to begin with, I strongly believe that good manners and habits are the backbone of our life, because good manners and habits develop our personality as well as manners. Here I would like to talk about the wonderful habit of my close friend, which is none other than his punctuality. Her name is Komal, and we have been friends since our school days. Moving further, speaking of his habits, she is always on time, whether it is attending classes, joining a party, or completing assignments. Honestly, she never misses up deadlines, and this quality makes her stand out from others. Furthermore, as far as I remember, I first noticed this habit during our exam preparation. While I usually did my work, she always managed her time wisely. Because of this, she completed her revision in advance and looked as cool as a cucumber, whereas I was stressed at the last moment. The key reason why I want to develop this habit is that punctuality not only saves valuable time, but also discipline to life, as people say, time and time waits for none. So if I become punctual like her, I believe I can hit the nails on the sport and achieve my goals more easily. All in all, these good habits of my friend inspire me a lot, and I truly wish to plant the seeds of punctuality in my own life as well.

Band 6-7

I would like to tell you a bit about my friend called Punnima. She is a nutritionist and a fitness coach. She has learned this skill in the past few years and started with her own fitness journey and she was struggling with a couple of health issues and she started following a disciplined health regime for herself and also changed her diet and focused more on nutrition than on junk food. This helped her achieve her fitness goals, remove the health issues that she was struggling with and become more fit, more healthy and then she took the advanced courses and became a coach. Now this habit that she has formed over the past 4-5 years of regular health sessions for herself that she has been able to maintain and have a discipline over is the habit that I would like to inculcate in myself. While I go for walks and have a small health routine for myself, I am not regular. Sometimes it's the morning course, sometimes it's a business meeting which comes up or sometimes it's my pure laziness which derails my schedule or discipline around the routine that I want to follow. So that is where I would like to inculcate that habit and discipline in myself. I think that will help me achieve my health goals in a better manner. I would definitely want to achieve that at least 5 days out of the 7 days in the week. I prefer mornings because that is when there is a good pleasant wind in the city in Delhi which is otherwise either very hot or very cold and mornings are best suited for exercise and I would definitely want to achieve that.

My very best friend has a beautiful habit which I really intended to take from her. She likes to draw as well as to paint. The main thing about her is she is so calm, peaceful and lovely. Also she is an introverted person. Usually we think that extroverts are the rulers of the world. Furthermore we can say that they are such an amazing persons with great personality. But personally I think that is not completely true because we don't know the actual potential of introverts like her. They are such a lovely creatures who are living with such a beautiful life silently. So her habit looks so beautiful and creative which is kind of aesthetic for me. So I wish I could have same abilities and currently I am trying to draw certain things and I achieved some of them. So in the future maybe I will be like her soon hopefully.

Band 6-7

A friend of mine has a good habit to speak with anyone easily and without fear, without hesitation. She can easily adapt to any environment.

Band 6-7

Habit plays vital role in every individual's life. With the help of this, they can easily achieve their goals. Today I am going to talk about a habit when I applied in my life. It is none other than I got up early in the morning. I vividly remember that I was studying in 12th standard. During that time, I have a best friend, Abhishek. He told me he got up early in the morning. Due to this, he was maintaining their body and fitness. However, I applied this in my daily routine and I felt more active and awareness of the fitness body. Moreover, I felt on cloud nine to applying it in my daily routine. It was a very beneficial for me because due to this, I felt more energetic and it helps to maintain our body temperature, breathing and it also helps to reduction of the stress level and it improving the mental strength.

Band 6-7

The friend that I want to develop a habit from is my college best friend, I met her in college and we've been very close since then. The habit that I want to develop is time management. We recently had an argument about this issue where we were working on a hackathon together but I couldn't dedicate sufficient time to complete the given tasks by her. This led to an argument where she felt that I wasn't able to prioritize so I feel that it's very important to develop time management. I would try to develop this by first prioritizing all the tasks and then dividing equal time upon each task and also ensuring that all these tasks are completed. I feel if I work on my time management skills, there would be less arguments, at the same time I would be able to finish all my tasks and dedicate proper time and it would be something out of my comfort zone. I am not a person who can multitask or dedicate time to a lot of stuff at the same time. Hence, I feel time management is very important.

Band 6-7

Well, one of my very close friends, Abhishek, has this habit of going to the gym regularly and that is something he has developed over the years. He is really into fitness and that thing shows on his personality and the way he communicates and his body language. So that is something which I would love to involve into my daily routine as I have been recently gaining a lot of weight and I think that is not something really healthy. So I want to lose weight and, you know, just give some time to myself for exercise and just be a better version of myself. So I think that is something that would really help me to become a better version of myself. And other than that, I think that also will help me to concentrate more on other things as I believe he does yoga and meditation. I think that also will help me to focus, increase my focus on other stuff as I have heard there are a lot of advantages of yoga and meditation. Furthermore, that will improve my lifestyle and the way I live. So, yeah, these are the two things which I really believe if I develop into my daily lifestyle, I will be somewhat better.

Band 6-7

Yeah, it's quite an intriguing question. The habit which come to my mind is a habit of learning new things and eagerness towards complex tasks. This habit I found in one of my college friend and his name is Santosh and he usually have a tendency to learn new things and learning a complex task or hectic task is a piece of cake for him. I am not an easy learner but although I tried to mimic him by learning complex task but usually it's not my cup of tea. But anyway I try like him to learn new things and I am always eager to tend to follow him in his path. But then I came to remember that although his path is unique and I can't able to exactly mimic what he can able to do right. I need to think for myself and I just fine tune the habit by learning new things which I like. So the habit of learning new things became deviated and I just modified the habit to suit myself. I think everyone should have this habit because most of the people are fine with what they have. But I like to share that learning new things and become an out of the box thinker is quite good because it will help them to think independently and make an innovative approach to an ideas or questions. I hope that most of the people like this habit and I will make sure to follow this habit and I want to learn more about myself.
