When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, the habit that my friend has that I particularly want to develop is waking up early. I've always envied him for the ability for him to get up early in the morning, get his work done and also work out. And the reason that I want to develop this habit is because I would also like to spend the early mornings when I'm fresh and my state of mind is alert and contribute to my projects and also learning a new skill, which could be working out or even reading a book. And he's a very close friend of mine, he's actually one of my college roommates. And I want to develop this habit through a method called gateway habit. It's when you do small parts of the habit, for example, in this case, it would be getting up early for just say 5-30 minutes and working on something and then I could go back to sleep or do something that I like. So, I slowly build the habit and increase the time duration when I'm awake to the point where I just stay awake throughout the day from that point onwards. And he wakes up at around 3am, although this is a bit too early for me, I would like to say I would wake up around 5am, that should suffice for me. And from that point onwards, I would try to work on something that I'm passionate about and I would also go for morning jogs and walks in the local park near my house. And I have seen many of my roommates also waking up early. This was during the time when we were in college together and I've asked them to teach me how they attain this habit. Furthermore, they've agreed and they've slowly started to teach me and I'm slowly building on this habit. I would say I'm about 20% complete with it.

My friend Rhea is a very organized person. She has the habit of organizing her things properly, keeping them in a place. When you go to her house, everything is very neat, very tidy. All her belongings are kept very in order, her cupboard is well organized, her clothes are divided in sections, everything is very neat. It's something I would like to imbibe because I really lack at arranging things, keeping them in their proper place. I usually don't remember where I have kept something. Although I allocate places for them, I usually end up forgetting them and then I keep things in the wrong places and then forget about it. I also want to imbibe it because it gives you a sense of discipline, I think, in your daily life when your things are organized, when your table is well organized, when your shelves are organized, when your clothes are kept properly. You don't spend any time looking for things, you just get them and it saves you a lot of time. So it is something that I really want to develop and I don't think I have that much of organization honestly.

My, the habit which I want to develop is the art of getting up early and doing exercises and one whom I take, whom I draw inspiration from is my, is none other than my elder brother. He has a great habit of getting up early and doing exercises and workout. This not only helps in maintaining a good physical and mental health but also it tightens the sleep cycle and is beneficial for his body. So I also want to adapt this in my life as well because it will be beneficial for me as well by maintaining a good sleep cycle and as I mentioned before, a good physical and mental health is very necessary for a human being. You can work, this not only improves the concentration, it improves the focus power, it also improves the eyesight as well. Thus, getting up early and habit of doing exercises is very good for one's health. Moreover, in addition to this, I would like to also say, doing workout, sometimes doing yoga and workout along with this is also beneficial and it improves one's health as well.

My childhood friend has a very good habit which is quick learning and adaptability which means he can learn anything from anyone very quickly and he can use that too and he adapts to all the environment, all the surroundings and everything. So this habit is the best I think because adaptability is the key to mingle with everyone and adapt to every situation and overcome it and tackle it. So I need to learn that habit from my friend. For instance, if you went to some other place without anyone knows there, you need to adapt to that food, adapt to the environment, adapt to the friends. Without adaptability habit, he can't survive in that place. So if you want to live individually in some places, you need to adapt to the environment also. It is a good habit and well mannered too and in my child, actually he has this habit from his childhood, once we went to a hotel, I think, we went to some place, there is very cold climate and there is no food for us but we adapt to the climate and prepare food for us with some ingredients like fruits or something like that but if I am in that place, I won't do like that. I can't adapt to that environment and climate, I can't prepare food like him. So I think quick learning and adaptability is very key to a man's success. So I need to learn from him.

Hi, the habit which my friend have, I really admire is being calm in tough situations. One of my guy friend has this ability to be really calm, humble and honest on every situation. No matter what the situation is, especially tough situations where other people would be devastated or get angry or they will lose their cool. I believe being calm is the greatest thing a man could do. Silence is the bestest answer, I believe. I would like to adopt this habit from him. Some of my other friends are also really mature, they look good, they do take care of themselves, they know when to speak and when not to, they don't tolerate disrespect. Even though they all have fragile ego but sometimes they all are so mature, I love that quality and I would like to develop that quality from them. I really admire how tough they act in tough situations, they are strong, they are resilient, they are courageous, they are fearless, they are adventurous, they are studious. They take care of themselves and everyone else, they don't let anyone feel left out, they ask everyone how they are feeling, they ask how everyone's day has been going. They truly take care of everyone and they do care about everyone.

I have a friend in my office, his name is Sarthak. So he has this very good habit that he leaves the office on time, which leaves him with more time to pursue other things after he is back home. One day he was describing his schedule after he goes home. So he just reaches to his place, he sits down with his family, relaxes a bit. Then he takes up an hour to work out, which is difficult to do in the morning as our office starts at 9. After his workout, he listens to some music or he just scrolls through some apps for recreation, has his dinner, talks to his family again and that's how he finishes his day. I wish I could incorporate these habits, particularly working out in my schedule.
