    I have a friend, Ruby. We have been friends since past 10-12 years. We live in the same neighborhood and she has got a very interesting habit of reading. Whenever I visit her place and we are not doing anything important, we are just there for each other, spending time together. I prefer scrolling whereas she reads a lot of interesting books. As a kid, my parents really wanted to elevate the habit of reading and me. It inspired from her but I never liked the idea of reading different books of different genres. So, in fact, when I was in my 7th grade, my parents got me a book. It was a very peaceful book, nothing very fancy or intellectual. I ended up reading that book but I was very disinterested and half the rest of my life completed that book under pressure of my parents. I also feel that that was something I read under the pressure so it did not make any sense to me. But now, at this point of my life, I have observed that after COVID post-pandemic, I lost the ability to concentrate on a particular thing. I cannot focus on anything for more than few seconds. Even when I am scrolling, I cannot even concentrate for that one minute. I just keep on scrolling every day in just 15-20 seconds and that is the maximum time that I can focus on anything other than scrolling. I also believe that reading improves your vocabulary and your confidence to speak in front of others. You learn a lot of knowledge and because of that, you can state your facts.

    So, the one habit which I would really like to incorporate in my life is a habit of getting up early, which my friend actually has mastered. She usually sleeps early and gets up at 7 o'clock in the morning, which is really early for me. I usually tend to get up at around 8 or 9 a.m., but I feel that getting up early is a really good habit. It has several benefits, like you get good health, you can do several different activities in the morning which you usually don't get time to do in the evening, like exercising or meditating or doing yoga. I really wanted to focus on my exercising and that is why I believe I don't have time to really incorporate that activity anywhere in my schedule. If I just start getting up early and just get that habit in me, then I feel everything pretty much will be sorted in my life. I really admire her for that because she never gets up late and she's never late to anything. I feel like that habit is really essential for everyone because at the end of the day, you feel refreshed and the day really goes well if you just get up a few hours early and just take good care of your health.

    So, this is a habit that my fiancé, Rexon, he goes to the gym a lot, he is very conscious about what he eats, what kind of food he eats, what kind of ingredients it has, how much he exercises, be more physically active, so this is something that I would always notice and how particular he is about waking up in the morning, so this is something that I have always noticed about him and that is something I want to inculcate in my life because I feel like I am extremely lazy and I tend to not prioritize myself, so I would always give myself the excuse that yes, I work a lot, so you know it should not, it may be later but then I realize that I have a very weak immunity, so I fall sick really quick and one of the reasons was the way I live my life, so I mean almost no exercise, sedentary lifestyle, eating unhealthy, just ordering in and all of this is just not good for me in the long term, that is something that even my fiancé just tends to instill in, so you know, this is something that I want to inculcate in my life because I see the difference that it has made in him, so he feels better, he looks better, all of these things impact your life in the long term, so you know, feel stronger.

    One habit that my friend Rahul and I want to develop is waking up early in the morning. Rahul is one of my closest friends from college and we often discuss ways to improve ourselves and be more productive. We both feel that waking up early has many benefits. For example, it gives us extra time to plan a day, exercise or study without distractions. Currently, we both struggle with staying up late, which leads to waking up late and feeling rushed in the mornings. Developing this habit helps us feel more energetic and organized throughout the day. The main reason we want to develop this habit is to improve our productivity and time management. We believe that starting the day early will give us a sense of accomplishment and allow us to focus on our priorities. It will also help us develop a healthier lifestyle since we can use the mornings for exercise or other qualitative activities. To achieve this, we plan to go to bed earlier and set small goals like waking up just 15 minutes earlier each day until we achieve our desired routine. We also motivate each other by sending a text or a call in the morning to check if we are both up. In short, Rahul and I are determined to develop this habit because it will benefit us both physically and mentally in the long run.

    Okay, a friend, one of my friends, a boy called Hemant, he used to study a lot, he used to do his homework, he used to play, he do all the things. I think he is an extraordinary student in our class who helps all the children on solving the maths problem or solving any other subjects and I think he helps the students on various topics. He studies for lots of books, magazines and he is a chess level champion and he used to play football, he is a district level champion. I think he is one of my best friend.     I have worked in Trivandrum for a year and I had a roommate there. Her name is Deepa. She reads a lot. That is one habit of her that I've tried so many times but failed to execute. So she reads a lot of books. She mostly reads fictions and thrillers, crime thrillers. And I've always seen her trying to improve her reading and adding more and more books to her collections. I've gone to many bookstores and libraries with her. But never have I ever felt that kind of urge to know what happens when I see a book. So I've always been a fan of her reading. And that is one habit that I've always wanted to have for myself. So recently I purchased two books thinking that if I purchase it with my own money, maybe I might be able to start reading. And I've started reading also. But one thing I've realized is that I have very small attention span and I'm not able to concentrate for more than 10 minutes. So it's been almost two months and I'm still at some 100 pages into the book. So I would love to have that as a habit. Love to make it as a habit.     So, it's my childhood school friend, Reshmi, and we have been friends for 12 years now. She has this habit of thoroughly preparing for anything that's going on in her life, career or studies, and she follows a very particular routine from morning till the night, even when she has to go to sleep and when she should have her food and the basic stuff also. I always found it fascinating that she could do that, and I always also wanted to follow a routine because I am the type of person who just does what's at the moment and what I think of at the moment. Seeing her follow a routine makes me also want to learn about it and I also would like to try to follow a routine so that I can help my life and my career and make it more stable rather than just living in the moment. I would like to plan ahead for my future. That's the reason that I want to develop that habit.
