When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

My favorite toy from my childhood would be dolls and Barbies. I was always fascinated with the idea of dressing them up, playing with them, imagining all of these scenarios. But I think it was truly me imagining myself to be a grown-up and living through all of these scenarios as a young, independent, beautiful woman would. This one particular Barbie, which was my absolute favorite, was gifted to me by my grandfather on my birthday. I think I played with that Barbie almost every day for 2-3 years till the time that it was replaced by a better and newer version of it. But yeah, I think playing with dolls has always, always been something that I was fond of. I would want to buy new Barbies all the time. It got out of hand to the extent that at a point of time, I had almost 15-20 Barbies lying around in my home. I still have them in my native place where they are kept in a cupboard, which I think I'm going to hold dear to my heart for life.

When I was 6 years old, I had an old truck toy which was given by my father. It specially holds memories of me and my father which are very special to me. I used to play with it very often when I was having my lunch or when I was having my dinner and also when I was having my breakfast. It used to be my daily toy I used to talk to. There are many several other toys which I also used to play with. For example, I had a Cars 24 car and a helicopter. I used to make a story from those toys just like how the old cartoons were made.

She was wearing red color gown and she had golden hair, blue eyes and she was very beautiful Barbie that I had and she was the very first Barbie that I had. And I was very, very over the moon when I got the Barbie and I was so possessive about the Barbie. I would never give it to anyone and I remember taking it to my bed as well. Furthermore, I used to dress her with different costumes. I used to tie her hair, I used to comb her hair and I used to treat her as a child and it allowed me to play with her like a friend and I used to talk to the Barbie all the time. In fact, after coming from school, I used to look forward to be with that Barbie and to play with her. I even remember how I stitched a new dress for this Barbie girl with remaining clothes which I found from my mother's tailoring room. I also take time to tie her hair and make it more beautiful by sticking bindi and applying kajal to this doll. From my childhood perspective, I was trying to make it more beautiful but now I realize I actually made the doll dirty rather than making it more pretty. Also I used this toy to play mom and daughter game with my cousin. It was my favorite toy so that my brother used to take it and hide it in the shelf just to irritate me.

So yeah, I do remember one incident when I was young. I think on a Sunday I went to a shopping mall with my parents. So while walking in the shop, I saw one teddy bear. It was giant brown color with two black eyes and it was having a bow in its neck. And at that moment itself, I really liked it and I was very much fascinated about it and because of its size, it was bigger than me. And I really wanted it. I simply asked my father, like, can I get that? But without hesitating, he said no. And I didn't fight for that. Why? Because I think there would be something why my father said no. Later on, after two months passed, my birthday came. So on that day, everything was usual. I didn't expect anything. And at this time of cake cutting, my father surprised me with that teddy bear and I was out of tears. I was crying with the joy of happiness and I would never ever forget that day. From that moment onwards, I would be eagerly waiting to come back from school to play with the teddy bear. I consider it as my child and I would be playing like family with the teddy bear. So it was an amazing memory I had from my childhood with the teddy bear and still I'm having the teddy bear. I hold it as a memory from my younger days. So yes.
