Answer

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

My father's friend from America got me a small teddy bear, which is about the size of my fist right now, when I was one year old, as my birthday gift. And I've kept that toy close to me ever since that day. There's never been a day where I've slept without my toy. I call him Teddy. He's a very small brown toy with black triangular eyes. Right now, he looks a bit old and dirty, but back then, I used to feel like it was such a big toy to hold and grab. He's 22 years old right now. We celebrate our birthdays together. I still hold him dear to my heart. I also have a lot of other toys. The main reason is because when I was a kid, I didn't have a lot of friends to play with, and I did not have a sibling until I was two years old. My mother tried to keep me busy with all those toys. One toy which I will never forget is a five-foot panda bear. The toy looks kind of like a panda and a bear. That's the reason why I love it.

So there's this one rabbit toy. It was a female rabbit which was given to me when I was around 2-3 years old. It was given by my parents, especially my father I think. I don't really remember because I was so young. But yeah, it had a bow on its head. It had long ears, fluffy and soft white fur. It wore a purple frock with blue designs on it and it had ballet shoes. I liked it very much at a young age considering I was a 4 year old girl who loved to play cooking, cooking, dress up, makeup, all those stuff. I used to take it everywhere with me. I'm pretty sure if my mom allowed I would've even took it to bath with me. We were like two peas in a pod. It was my bestest imaginary friend. But I don't play with it anymore because I've grown up. To be honest, I don't know where it is and that's kind of sad but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in my cupboard catching dust. It feels sad thinking about it but we just grow old sometimes and forget the toys that gave us comfort when we start playing with other people. Looking at it makes me feel nostalgic and hoping I could return to the times where I was so carefree and nothing in the world really mattered at that age. I am pretty sure I didn't let anyone touch it when we were young. Even when my cousins came over, they would get their own toys. I wouldn't go near theirs because I felt it was a loyalty test. So I had to stay loyal to mine. But yeah, it was a cute bunny and I still feel sad. It has emotions. It feels sad that I neglected it. But maybe one day I'll get it out of the cupboard.

The toy that I liked the most in my childhood was a red teddy bear. It was given to me by my parents as a Christmas gift. And I adored it because gifts were far and few during my childhood. So when I finally got the cute little red teddy bear I was very elated with the same. I used to play with it once in a while but more than that it was more like a comfort factor for me where I could keep the teddy bear with me and I could feel comfortable. It was my comfort zone when I was tensed and it made sure that I kept it safe. So as I grew older this red teddy bear was less used. It was not used as often. But it still holds a fond memory in my mind because even after I moved out of my home and I came back whenever I see the red teddy bear I remember the times of my youth when I used to keep it in my hands. It used to give me a strong sense of comfort and a strong sense of well-being and a feeling that all will be well with the world. Because it just felt like this was something that was permanent and which helped me ground myself. So I thank my parents for getting me such a thoughtful gift and though it is just a small teddy bear it still is one of my most favorite memories in my mind. The minute I recall about it I remember the happier days and the more safer days, comfortable days that I had during my childhood where there was less driving and more of enjoying. Thank you.

Well, one toy that I absolutely adored during my childhood was a small remote controlled car that my father gifted me on my 7th birthday. It was a bright red with shiny black strips and to me it just looked like a mini Ferrari. I still remember the excitement when I first unboxed it. It was honestly one of the happiest moments of my life. The car came with a little controller that had two joysticks, one for direction and one for speed and velocity. I used to spend hours every evening racing it around the living room or on the terrace. Sometimes I even set up small tracks using the plastic bottles or books and pretend I was in a professional car race. My friends would come over and we'd take turns competing with our toy cars. It used to get really noisy and fun. What made it so special was not just the toy itself but the bond I shared with my dad. He was one of the persons who helped me fix it whenever it stopped working or ran out of battery. Those small repair moments actually taught me the patience and curiosity about how things work. Maybe that's the one reason I became more interested in technology later on. Even though I eventually outgrew the toy, I still have kept it safely in my cupboard. Whenever I look at it, it brings back a wave of nostalgia memory and reminds me of a simpler, carefree time in life when happiness came from the smallest of things.

One of my favourite toys from childhood was a remote controlled car. It was bright red with shiny black wheels and made a roaring sound when it moved. I still remember the day my father gifted it to me on my 7th birthday. I was so excited that I could not stop playing with it all day. I used to play with the car almost every evening after school, racing it around the living room or outside in the courtyard. Sometimes my friends would bring their cars too and we have fun competition to see whose car was the fastest. The toy wasn't just a source of entertainment, it was also taught me patience and care. Because I had to charge it, clean it and fix some small parts. Even today whenever I see a toy car, it brings back warm memories of my childhood and reminds me of the love and happiness that simple things can bring.

Band 7

Though a favorite toy from my childhood was a remote-controlled car, I received it from my father as a birthday gift when I was about 8 years old. I remember being very excited because I had seen a similar car at a friend's house and had wanted one for a long time. The car was a bright red electronic toy with a remote that allowed for 360-degree control. It even came with a small set of miniature roads and trees which made it feel like a real racing track. I would spend hours playing with it, often setting up obstacle courses in my room using books and pillows. Sometimes my brother and I would have races to see whose car was faster. It was special to me because it wasn't just a toy. It was a way to spend quality time with my dad who often let me win our races. It also helped me develop my hand-eye coordination.

When I was 3 years old, I cried relentlessly for this one toy. My sister was gifted by a guy that moved to Sydney and he bought her a parting gift that was a penguin. It was a soft toy. It had an orange beak and it was very soft. It was black but the body of it was white and it had big black glass eyes. I was obsessed with it as a 3 year old and I cried and cried until I was given that penguin. I later named it Pingu because as a 3 year old child, I wasn't able to pronounce penguin. So Pingu and I had the best time. I took it to all of my trips and I vividly remember taking it to my Shimla trip when I was a child and even taking pictures with it. My album is full of pictures of my doll. I do not play with it often nor do I sleep with it as much as I used to in the past. Now it's on a shelf away from all of the dust as a memory because I don't want anything to happen to it. One of the main reasons it's on the shelf is because now I have a dog who will bite anything or maybe even destroy it if I'm careless with my penguin. And since I have such an attachment to that toy, I don't think I could ever watch it get destroyed. It's my possession and I love it so much.

So, I was a huge rail fan during my childhood and I used to watch Thomas and Friends every day after getting up at 8am in the morning just for it. Now, my parents knew just how big of a rail fan I was and when my dad went to the UK, he got me a Thomas and Friends toy, a Thomas toy which was a model of Thomas the Tank Engine, a blue coloured engine in the series and he got it from Hamleys in the UK and I really loved that toy. I used to play with it almost every single day and it was this really nice detailed model of Thomas, about the size of my arm when I was 3 years old so it was a big deal for me seeing something that big of the character that I admired. You could put soap water into this toy and it would start giving bubbles in steam so that was really cool and it was battery operated so my parents would just, you know, key in the battery, just key it in, give the batteries and put the water inside and I would be chasing this tank engine around the entire house. And as a kid, I also had this little ritual where I used to sleep with a new toy or my favourite toy every night and I slept with this toy in my bedside for almost 2 years straight. That's how much I loved the series and this particular toy. And another reason why I really, really loved this toy was because it gave, you know, steam engine sounds or, you know, train sounds and that, for some reason, really connected with me.

Band 7

The last time I spoke about this toy, I was criticized for being too loquacious and was told to stop talking about it. However, if I have an opportunity to speak about it, I would love to speak about it. So the first toy that I ever fell in love with and love to this day is a Beyblade. So this is a kind of a toy that was improvised to be ripped with a launcher and it used to spin with a very sophisticated mechanism. Why I love this toy, this particular type of toy, I wouldn't call it a toy, a type of toy, was because of two things. First, they had an entire ecosystem that was created around it, so you would have your friends that would also have Beyblades, you would be able to hold competitions, make purchases for its allied parts such as stadiums and heavyweight rings, which is what would be used to make the Beyblade spin faster. And also there was, furthermore there was also, furthermore there were ways that you could modify them and have a mix and match going on. So I remember one of the strongest Beyblades that I had, sorry I keep using the word Beyblade, tops that I had conjured up was one which consists of parts from four different tops and this was absolutely unbeatable. I remember counting 13 victories that took place without any effort whatsoever. If it were up to me I would still be playing with them, however I must confess I have lost them, furthermore I do not have time to play with those anymore but if I had to get back to it that is exactly what I would be doing.

Band 7

One toy that I remember distinctly from my childhood is small remote controlled car that my father gave me on my 10th birthday. It was bright red made of durable plastic and had sleek black stripes that made it look like a racing car. I was absolutely fascinated by how it moved so smoothly with just a few buttons on the remote. What made this toy special was not just its appearance but the fun and excitement it brought. I used to race it with my friends in the park and we would even build little tracks out of cardboard and stones. It taught me a lot about patience and coordination especially when I had to control its movement carefully to avoid obstacles. Even though the toy eventually broke, I still remember it fondly because it was one of my first experiences with technology. I sparked my interest in how machines work and how simply innovations can bring so much joy. For me, that car was not just a toy, it was a symbol of imagination and childhood happiness.
