When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I'm going to be talking about a doll's house. So our doll's house was a nice big two-storied house with a roof that could be flapped open and there was another bedroom there. And it was nice and bright pink and purple with all the furniture brightly coloured with green and blue and orange. It consisted of six portions with a few bedrooms, a kitchen, a shower, a bathroom and a dressing room. So I remember it quite fondly because me and my sister used to play with it practically every day in our childhood and we used to invite friends over to play with it. It became a tradition for us to play with it over the summer holidays at least every alternate day with our friends bringing their own Barbies and we had a huge collection of Barbies too. We used to dress them up and play and make up stories about it. My friend had a mermaid which used to have its own shower so we used to keep that in the room and let the mermaid play in the bath. And basically it consisted of a huge portion of our childhood and now I fondly remember it even though it is dismantled and kept away and we're hoping that our future generations will be able to use it because we've tried to keep it in as good condition as it can be. And when we first received it I think me and my sister were overjoyed. It was a joint birthday gift when we were about 6 and 8 years old and we immediately fell in love with it and we had it out for like a long time, at least 7 to 8 years until we dismantled it carefully and kept it away. It even travelled with us from one country to another, from one house to another in perfect condition because my mum would always tell the kids to please keep it safe because my children are really obsessed over it.

So, I would say my favourite toy, when I was a child, was the remote-controlled helicopter that I got from my father. As a child, I was always into remote-controlled toys, anything that could be remotely operated with a controller. I don't know, I was so fascinated with the idea of having a toy that you could move where you want to, how you want to, when you want to with just a remote. It made me feel good knowing that I have the control and power over where it's going, it's movement in particular. How often do I play with it? Every day after I come back from school, I wouldn't even get changed, I wouldn't even get refreshed, wash my hands or face, I wouldn't even shower. The first thing I did after coming back from school is I took the remote, I turned the helicopter on, and I flew it all over the house. And sometimes my parents would get sick of me playing with it all the time because I was a very messy driver. I would just be rotating the lever, whatever it is that's present on the remote to control its movement and directions. I used to rotate it however I want to, not really considering what's around where I am, what the room is in. So it was sometimes hit the walls, paintings, the portraits that my family had hung in the walls, sometimes even my own parents.

So, I used to have this huge teddy bear which was gifted to me on my 15th birthday by my sister and my mother. It was very close to me and very memorable. It held a certain value in my life because it was there with me when my sister shifted to her hostel where she had to go, where she had to attend her college which was away from our city. She had to stay in her hostel and I was all alone in my room. After growing up for 15 years alongside my sister, I suddenly felt all alone. My parents used to be very busy with their work so I was never able to ask them for that consideration or to make me feel less lonely but this particular teddy bear that was gifted to me helped me a lot during that phase. It always stayed by my side. I used to cuddle that toy and go to sleep. I used to wake up beside it, wish it good morning and felt as if it's a real person that was staying beside me. I never felt lonely because of that toy. It was such a good toy. It held a lot of memories but we had to give it away. As I grew up and the toy got older, it felt like now it's time for someone else to have the same kind of memories I had when I was a child. It was time for the toy to extend its hand to other children so I gave it away. It felt very sad but yeah, it had to go someday.

The most poignant memories that I have of my childhood are those where I am cuddling with my precious soft toy. The soft toy is a teddy bear. It was pink in colour and was given to me by my dad. He gave it to me on my 6th birthday. I was begging for a soft toy since all my friends at school had a soft toy and I desperately wanted one. My father finally caved in and gave it to me saying that I could have it if I scored well in my class test. Lo and behold I got decent marks and was gifted a cute little soft toy which was my precious buddy all throughout my high school years. I feel like I never really separated from that soft toy. Even as I grew old I wanted to take it with me to my higher studies. And I feel like whenever life gets tough I regress back and want that safety net and comfort of childhood and that is provided to me by my soft toy. I even went on to name it. I call it Peppa. It's derived from the cartoon which I loved watching as a child, Peppa Pig. So I feel like that holds a very important memory in my heart and I truly treasure those childhood days and fills me with happiness when I think about those days and reflect on how positive my formative years were and how it has moulded me into the individual I am today.

One childhood toy that I vividly remember liking very much was a dollhouse that I received on my 7th birthday. It was a two-storey dollhouse with pink and purple accents to it and there weren't any dolls that came with it but I had plenty of the dolls of miniature sizes that I could put inside it. I had received it from my grandparents and my maternal uncle. It was more of a birthday gift and I played with it quite often, very frequently to be honest, like at least once or twice a week. I liked to make up stories and whole scenarios. It was my own version of playing house as I did not have many friends at that time and I'm a single child so I used to play by myself quite often. So that was my version of playing house and I remember there being a living room and kitchen on the first floor and there was a bedroom, a child's play area, a nursery if you may say and a bathroom, combined bathroom and toilet on the second floor. The windows and the doors were not fixed. You could open them and get inside it. The front of the house was closed whereas the

Okay, the toy that I liked in my childhood was a stuffed toy that was given by my parents. This stuffed toy was extremely lovely, moreover I had it for a long time that it was a part of my everyday routine to play with it. I used to play with that stuffed toy almost daily, it was expectationally nice to me. In addition, I loved the stuffed toy like my own thing. It was given by my parents, my parents know that I love stuffed toys that they bought me one. The stuffed toy was all mine.

If I had to talk about a toy in my childhood, it would be a huge Lego set that I received for my 60th birthday from one of my uncles. That Lego set had a lot of pieces and a lot of dolls as well. And during my childhood I used to be very busy going to school, playing table tennis and playing out with my friends. The only time I used to stay indoor was Sunday afternoons when all my neighbours would sleep and I would sit at home with my dad, build many different things like bridges, castles and forts, parks and what not. So, me and my dad, we would pretend like we are emperors. We ruled the world and there were a lot of little animals as well. So, sometimes we built farms. I think that is where my interest towards architecture began, I am not quite sure. But I started developing an interest about buildings, how things are made and how things stay the way they are. And currently being a professional working architect, I look back to those days and even now if I can't find concepts, I open my sister's Lego kit and I start placing things randomly, understanding light and shadow and understanding light and shadow, their build structures, support systems, how colours interact, how pieces interact, how the views will be if I keep a camera at a certain angle and click. It was a very interesting learning for me and explorator at that point of time which I cherish till date.

When I was a kid, my first companion was not my mom, not my dad, not my sister, it was a bee, a big bumblebee with shimmery wings and a rounded stinger. Throughout my childhood, nobody really talked to me, the only person I could talk to was my bee. It is a lovely toy gifted to me from my uncle, he gifted me other toys too, like American dolls, Barbies and everything. So shout out to him.

One of my favorite toys from childhood was a doll house that I made myself for a school workshop. It wasn't a store-bought toy but something I created using cardboard, colored paper and small decorative items. I remember spending several evenings designing and assembling it with help of my parents. We decided to work among ourselves like mom built the walls while my dad focused on painting and decorating the rooms and I was also on painting and decorating. I also added tiny furniture made from matchboxes and cloth pieces which made the doll house look quite realistic. What made the toy so special was the effort and creativity that went into making it and also the time I spent with my dad and my mom because it was very engaging and interactive. So unlike other toys that I played with and eventually forgot, this one felt truly mine because I had built it from scratch. It taught me the value of patience and teamwork and it sparked my interest in art, even art at young age because my favorite thing to do now is drawing and painting. So even today when I think about that doll house, I feel nostalgic because it reminds me of a time when I could turn simple materials into something beautiful through imagination and hard work.

I would like to talk about the toy car that was my favourite toy during my childhood. It was a small red remote control car that we used on my 3rd birthday. My parents gave it to me. The gift had been asking for a remote control car for a long time and I was so excited when I got it. I played with it almost every day after school. I would often race it with my friends' toy cars in the park or in our backyard. It was lot of fun and I have many fond memories and playing with car.
