Follow up questions

What do you think makes a movie engaging?
I believe an engaging movie has a strong plot, well-developed characters, and unexpected twists. Good pacing and emotional depth also play a crucial role in keeping the audience interested and invested in the story.

How important is the soundtrack in a movie for you?
The soundtrack is very important as it sets the mood and enhances the emotional impact of scenes. A good score can elevate a film, making moments more memorable and immersive, while a poor soundtrack can detract from the overall experience.

Do you often watch movies with friends or prefer alone?
I usually prefer watching movies with friends because it allows for shared experiences and discussions afterward. However, sometimes I enjoy watching alone for a more personal and focused viewing experience, especially for films that require deep concentration.

One movie that I really disappointed me was The Matrix Resurrection. I watched it because I was a huge fan of the original Matrix trilogy and I had a high expectation for the sequel. The trailers looked interesting and I thought it would bring back the same excitement and action as the old movies. But unfortunately, the movie was laid down, the story was confusing and the pace was slow. Many scenes felt forced and the characters didn't seem as engaging as before. I especially didn't like how the movie tried to explain everything with complex ideas. But in the end, it didn't make much sense. Also, the action scenes were not as exactly or well choreographed as I expected. Overall, I felt bored halfway through and I even thought about turning it off. It just didn't live up to the original trilogy and that made it disappointing for me. So, because of the story was confusing and the pace was slow, I disappointed from the movie. So, that's the movie.

Follow up questions

What do you think makes a sequel successful?
A successful sequel often builds on the original's strengths, maintaining character development and engaging storytelling. It should also introduce new elements that excite the audience while respecting the established lore. Balancing nostalgia with innovation is key.

How do you usually choose which movies to watch?
I typically choose movies based on recommendations from friends, reviews, and trailers. I also consider the genre and director's previous works. If a movie has a strong cast or an interesting premise, I'm more likely to give it a chance.

Have you ever enjoyed a movie that others found disappointing?
Yes, there have been instances where I enjoyed movies that received negative reviews. Personal taste plays a significant role, and sometimes a film resonates with me for reasons others might not appreciate, such as its themes or unique storytelling style.

Recently I saw a movie Kanguva. This movie had lot of promotions and there were lot of expectations from the general audience for this particular movie. I went the second day to theatre to watch the movie. The VFX, the sound effects and all the imaginary scenes were all well planned and was done very good. But the movie failed in the storyline. At the end of the movie we were not able to recollect what the storyline was and what the director tried to convey through the movie. The movie was about war happening in the historical event between two regional areas. But there was only men fighting in the grounds. But the movie failed to express the main plot of the story. Maybe there is a part 2 which is yet to come for the movie. I think the story may begin or there will be some past happenings that will be explained in part 2 that might be more interesting I think. I am waiting to watch the second part of the movie. I would not tell any disappointments in the VFX and the effects given for the movie. That would be a 10 on 10 for that particular movie. Overall the 3 hours were not well spent there.

Follow up questions

What aspects of the movie's VFX impressed you the most?
The VFX in Kanguva were truly remarkable. The attention to detail in the imaginary scenes, especially during the battle sequences, was impressive. The visual effects made the war scenes feel realistic and engaging, which is why I rated them a perfect 10 out of 10.

How do you think the storyline could have been improved?
The storyline could have been improved by providing more character development and background. If the movie had explored the motivations of the characters and the historical context more deeply, it would have made the plot more engaging and easier to follow.

Are there any other movies you felt disappointed about recently?
Yes, I recently watched another movie that had high expectations but fell flat. It had great visuals but lacked a coherent plot. I think it's important for movies to balance both visual appeal and a strong storyline to keep the audience invested.

Recently I have watched the movie of Mohanlal, directed by Zubidraj called Andhra. And it was the same movie that I was disabled in. Yeah, I went with my friends. We went in a car, like five friends in the night. And we reached there early. We were eagerly waiting to watch the show. And it was Ramadan when it was released. So we couldn't watch in Ramadan. So we waited till Eid, so we could watch the movie. And we expected a lot by seeing the first part of the movie. And the second part of the movie is called Andhra. We went for the movie Andhra. And I expected a lot in the presence of Mohanlal. In the first part, he was killing by acting. But when it came to the second part, it was really disappointing. I feel really disappointed because I didn't like the BGM. They could have done better in the BGM sector. And the other thing is, there is no such a story behind this. It was just for the sake of the story.

Follow up questions

What specific aspects of the movie's BGM did you find disappointing?
I felt that the background music didn't match the intensity of the scenes. It lacked the emotional depth that could have enhanced the viewing experience. The music felt generic and didn't resonate with the characters or the storyline, which was a letdown for me.

How do you think the movie could have improved its storyline?
The movie could have benefited from a more engaging plot with character development. Adding subplots or deeper motivations for the characters would have made the story more compelling. A well-structured narrative could have kept the audience invested throughout.

Have you watched any other movies by the same director? How do they compare?
Yes, I have watched other movies by Zubidraj. While some of them had strong narratives and engaging soundtracks, Andhra felt like a missed opportunity. His previous works had better pacing and character arcs, which made them more enjoyable compared to this recent release.

Well, that's an interesting topic to discuss about. I would like to talk about the movie called Empuran starring by one of the India's finest actor Mohanlal, directed by Prithviraj Sugumaran. The reason behind, we all waited a long time for the release of this movie. The reason behind, this is primarily because it was the sequel part of a movie called Lucifer, which was a tremendous hit during that time when it got released. So we were all hyped due to the fact that it was a sequel part of Lucifer. Even though we had that hype, when we watched that movie, I felt a bit disappointed. The reason behind it was, Lucifer was such a great movie.

Follow up questions

What specific aspects of the movie disappointed you the most?
I was disappointed mainly by the storyline and character development. Unlike Lucifer, which had a gripping plot and well-defined characters, Empuran felt rushed and lacked depth. The dialogues were not as impactful, and I expected more from the sequel.

How do you think the expectations for sequels affect viewers' experiences?
Expectations for sequels can create a lot of pressure on filmmakers to deliver something as good or better than the original. When viewers have high hopes, any shortcomings can lead to disappointment, as was the case with Empuran. It can overshadow the movie's merits.

Have you had any other experiences with disappointing sequels?
Yes, I've experienced disappointment with other sequels as well. For instance, I felt let down by the sequel to a popular animated film. It didn't capture the charm of the original and seemed to rely too much on nostalgia rather than creating a fresh story.

I wish to watch movies more oftenly. During this quiet time I watched a movie called Kalki which is a month before and it's a mythological movie and I watched that movie with my college friends in Mantri mall. We went around 6 to 7 people to watch that movie and it was a mythological movie. The every sequence each and every sequence in that movie feels better as well as the acting done by the by an hero Prabhas is mesmerizing but the thing which I felt little disappointment is about the story because as a mythological movie I expected more but that movie couldn't reach my expectations. So, me and my friends become little disappointed as well as we thought of doing it better by the director which is Prashanth Neel. Overall the script as well as the screenplay and the direction all place a very good point but little disappointing thing is that only story as it because I more oftenly I watched many mythological movie I couldn't able to match with that movies so I feel bit disappointment. Rather than this overall the movie was awesome so I can give ratings out of 10 it's a 6.

I don't know what was it, but it doesn't even quite do what you're expecting it to do. Let's give it a little pinch. Speak No Evil was the movie that I watched recently. It was yesterday afternoon. I was binging it through Brave Browser. I watched it alone. There was no one with me, and the reason I was disappointed with is the movie director 12.30pm. The movie was of 2 hours length, and I did watch it alone. No one was by my side. Furthermore, it was a good movie with good storyline, but the reason I got disappointed is the way it progressed. It started very smoothly, all the actors were good, dialogue delivery was top-notch, but I couldn't grasp certain points. I mean, how could a couple trust another couple they met over weekend in a different country? And a second, while they were in a movie, Last week I watched a couple of movies. Most recent was Speak No Evil. It was yesterday at around 12.30pm. That movie was a remaking of a Denmark movie of same name. The characters were good, they acted well, even it progressed when starting. I mean, how could a couple trust another couple they met over weekend in a different country? And a second, while they were in a movie, Last week I watched a couple of movies. The most recent was Speak No Evil. It was yesterday at around 12.30pm. I did watch it alone, no one was sitting by my side. Thoroughly enjoyed the first part, but second part was a bit dull. I didn't like the storyline or the way the story moved forward. I think certain elements in the writing part could be better. In addition to that, there were certain elements, especially in the second part, that I didn't like. I don't know why the writer or director decided to keep it in this way. There was a part when the couple tried to leave another couple's house midnight without informing them. And while they were in the middle of the road, away from their house, just because their little kid wanted a small doll that they left in the other couple's house, the father and mother both took a u-turn and returned to the same house again. I just couldn't understand what the writer was trying to portray by showing this kind of scenes. And again I couldn't understand the motive behind the serial killing of the couple.

A movie I watched last week was a Bollywood movie named Judai that casts Anil Kapoor and Sreedevi and Urmila Matondkar. It was a movie about a love triangle. I was really disappointed with how the storyline had an arc where the wife left the husband and chose money over love and marriage. It was a really disappointing movie for me because I generally do not like to watch emotional movies of that sort but I had watched it as my mother had recommended it to me. Although I loved the actor's performance in it but I did not like the storyline and I feel that I would have preferred a happier ending where the actress would have realized that her family is more important than love and money. She was an absolutely amazing actress, Sreedevi, but she passed away a few years ago and watching that movie really made me reminisce about her. She is my mother's favorite actress and she often talks about her and she made a huge impact in the Bollywood industry with her amazing acting performances.

I enjoy watching movies very frequently and especially when I sit together with my mom in our very own private movie theater at home and just spend the afternoon watching movies one after the other. I think it's a great time but last week I watched a movie it was titled Marley and Me and the movie was about this dog that comes into the lives of this family and how their lives change for the good and better and how they feel connected as a family and they bond along with the dog too but this movie had a very sad ending and it was heartbreaking and I felt terrible after watching it because the movie ended with the dog dying from a particular disease and I love dogs they are my favorite animals I even have a pet dog and I just viewed this from a different perspective and I imagined my dog in that place and I was heartbroken for a couple of days and I decided not to watch any more dog movies that had a sad ending

Basically, I love movies. If there is a new movie and it is too good, I will definitely go and watch that movie with my colleagues and friends. So, in the same way, I recently watched a movie. It is a Telugu one and the movie name is Mad 2. It is basically a sequel to the Mad 1. So, the Mad 1 is basically a graduation life of three boys and later in the part 2, they have shifted the story to the professional level, what they have experienced in their professional life. So, what I felt very upset with that part 2 is I missed a lot of organic, I missed a lot of comedy in the part 2 when compared to the part 1 and also there are unnecessary songs they have kept in the movie, which I felt unnecessary. All in all, I would say like I was like little bit disappointed with overall execution of the movie when compared to the part 1.
