  • What was it?
  • When did you watch it?
  • Who did you watch it with?
  • And explain why you felt disappointed
Show all 34 answers

Cue 1:What was it?

  • Begin by naming the movie and providing a brief summary of its plot.
  • Mention any notable actors or directors involved to give context.

Example

The movie I watched recently is called 'The Great Adventure'. It's an action-packed film about a group of friends who embark on a journey to find a hidden treasure. The film stars popular actors like Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, which made me excited to watch it.

Cue 2:When did you watch it?

  • Specify the date or occasion when you watched the movie.
  • Mention if it was in a theater, at home, or during a special event.

Example

I watched it last Saturday evening at a local cinema with my friends. We had been looking forward to it for weeks, especially since it was released on a holiday weekend.

Cue 3:Who did you watch it with?

  • Introduce the friends or family members you watched the movie with.
  • Share a little about your relationship with them to add a personal touch.

Example

I went with my close friends, Priya and Amit. We often watch movies together, and we were all excited about this one because we love adventure films.

Cue 4:And explain why you felt disappointed

  • Clearly state the reasons for your disappointment, focusing on specific aspects of the movie.
  • Mention any expectations you had and how they were not met.

Example

Unfortunately, I felt disappointed because the storyline was quite predictable and lacked depth. I expected more twists and character development, but it turned out to be very clichéd. The action scenes, although well-choreographed, didn’t compensate for the weak plot.

Conclusion

    Example

In conclusion, while 'The Great Adventure' had the potential to be an exciting film, it ultimately fell short of my expectations. I believe that with a stronger script, it could have been much better.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Well, I love to watch movies. I prefer to watch Punjabi movies, Hollywood movies, and I love to watch even all kinds of movies. As in the last month, I was as free as a bird, so I was feeling very bored. So, my friend recommended me to watch a South Indian famous movie Bahubali, which was released a decade ago, but I have not even watched it. So, I make a plan to watch it with my friends and family. So, we set up a projector in our room to watch that movie, and that was a Saturday evening, 4 p.m., when we start watching that movie. That movie was about kings and how they fight with their siblings to get kingdom. So, after watching that movie, that movie, I feel very disappointed because overall that movie was very good, but at the end, the main hero, the Bahubali, was killed by his Oman uncle. That was a very big, that was a...

I recently watched a movie called Chhava, a Hindi movie, which is based on the history of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, which basically is based on a book called Chhava by Shivaji Samaj. And I particularly watched the movie on my sister's birthday with my sister and her husband. We watched about a month ago and one thing I could say that this movie left me kind of disappointed. As a Marathi person, because I knew the history of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and I knew it in the details, so as a person of the same culture, I feel that the language Hindi was not that captivating for the same moments. Also, the acting performances were very good, but I feel the director lost his motive to showcase the real history instead of focusing on some side parts which are not even relevant to the main history or additional parts, I would say. So those are the things I felt like shouldn't be that much of the focus. And overall the story went bland, like it didn't have any point or something like that. So I genuinely think that these are the films which the public should usually try to avoid, but people still hyped it a lot, people thought it was going to be a great movie. For acting, I would recommend it, but I don't think that the story and the writing is very good.

The movie which I watched recently made me feel very disappointed is Animal. The moment it got released in theatres, people made it very popular, like, it made me feel like if you don't watch it, there is a FOMO, there's a fear of missing out, oh, what did you miss? So I had to watch, but I watched it on OTT, not in theatres. The movie is of action and thriller genre. I watched it almost a year ago. I watched it myself on OTT, alone, like, without anyone. The thing that I was disappointed was the movie was too vulgar, anti-feminist, abusive and a lot of violence. I feel like people would like to watch movies for entertainment or knowledge. No one wants to experience disappointment, violence, or no one wishes to be disturbed after watching any movies, right? I feel like the purpose of watching movies is to just escape from the normal life, which should only enhance the mental peace and not destroy. So I was disappointed. There was a lot of violence in the movie.

I have watched a Hindi movie called Sanam Teri Kasam recently. This movie was released 5 years ago when I was in college. But again due to its popularity and its story, last month during February, due to the occasion of Valentine's Day, this movie got re-released in all the multiplex and all the malls. Then again, actually I was a fan of this movie and the story was very beautiful. It's mainly a wonderful love story which is important in everyone's life and it also has its own pathetic climax. So, with my friends I went and the climax was very bad. Why I went recently means, nowadays what we are seeing in this generation is totally a different kind of love. So, they have termed multiple names for the relationships. So, nobody in this generation are taking the love seriously or giving that importance or value for the relationships. But this movie is very important for the new generation and also tells about what is the love and how the hero let go the love just because of her happiness. So, love is not only attachment. It's like if you are loving someone you should let go them for their happiness. That is what the meaning or the message given from this movie. With my friends I enjoyed this movie a lot.

I recently watched the movie Captain America Brave New World of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I have been a huge fan of Marvel and I found this movie very disappointing as it lacked depth and it did not match the hype that they made in the trailer and since the phase one after the phase one of Marvel which was after the end of the movie Avengers Endgame in 2019 and Marvel is certainly not doing good with its movies many of which are going flop. The number one thing I did not like about this movie is was its ending. It was a very neutral ending with no meaning to it and a very simple ending. It was really boring as they hyped it very much in the trailer. Although Marvel has made some cinematic masterpieces like the Loki and the other movies but this was just too disappointing to me. Although this movie had some very nice action scenes you know. I really enjoyed the action scenes they made in this movie especially with the aircraft and the suit that Captain America had but overall the story was very dull and very neutral which did not add any sense to it and it was just a just a continuation that Marvel wanted to give that yes we are alive other than that there was nothing special in this movie.

I recently saw a film named Pushpa 2. I watched the film on my birthday and the worst part was that I watched it with my entire family including my mother, father, my uncle, aunt and even my grandparents. The movie was such a disgrace. Firstly, I had expected a lot from the movie as the publicity was very high for the movie. The PR team managed to attract audience in ways that are indescribable. What a trailer but alas what a movie.

One movie I watched recently that really disappointed me was Game Changer. I had pretty high expectations for it because the trailer looked very promising and some of my friends were talking about it on social media. I watched it last month on Netflix during the weekend at home. The movie is supposed to be a sci-fi thriller with a unique concept. The story revolves around a society and controls every aspect of itself. The main character tries to break out of the system and take back control of his identity on paper. It sounded like something right up my alley, especially since I am quite interested in technology and how it affects our life. However, the actual expectations of the movie were very poor. The plot was confusing and full of glitches. The character development was shallow. It was hard to connect emotionally with any characters. Even the visual effect, which I expected to be a strong point, looked quite rushed and low-budget. There were moments when the storyline felt completely unrealistic and lacked logic. What disappointed me the most was the ending. Instead of tying everything together, it left too many questions unanswered, and I felt more set up for the sequel rather than a proper conclusion. I did not feel satisfying at all. Overall, I felt like Game Changer had a potential, but it didn't give up a line to hype. It was a letdown, especially after making all the marketing buzz around it.

The movie which I had watched recently was Shandar and I got disappointed hugely as it was like watching the grass grow, it was so boring, I could not relate with the storyline. The highlights were beautifully shown but then the organization of the storyline was not so effective to understand what they really want to impart from their dialogues. Moreover, the acting of the actor and actresses were not properly sequenced, the scenes were overlapping and I cannot sit on my seat for a long period of time so what I did, I just got up in between in order to make myself fresh and not to feel bored again when I came back and sat on the seat again it started to you know feel like I cannot sit here and in between there was some funny things but that funny things also cannot compensate the boring part of the movie. The sad story behind the movie was a bit touching but at the end the most probable end which I was thinking it was exactly the same so that is what I got disappointed the most with. I thought that the storyline could have been better while they can keep something very unimaginable at the conclusion part or the climax part and the climax part I really don't like the sad note it should not add on the sad note it should always be a happy ending even though if it is not a happy happy ending at least they

A movie that I watched recently which was really disappointing was Cargo, it's a zombie kind of film and I watched it with my dad. It's a zombie kind of story which I watched a month ago and it was, the movie was really slow and I don't get the story in the right way, it was really very slow, the director could have improved many scenes in the film which was like so boring at times and I can't able to sit and watch for at least for an hour so I turned off and I began to watch an interesting series.
