When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

An article that I read on health was about the adverse effect of certain Ayurvedic medicines on our health. I read this article on the Instagram page of a famous health influencer who comes to be a doctor also called liver doctor. That's his Instagram handle. And the article mentioned that how Indians think that Ayurvedic medicines can't have any side effects because they are natural. But in reality, any kind of medicine you take needs to be prescribed by a doctor and should be taken in the quantity and for the time that is advised by the health professional. But in India, we believe that because most of these Ayurvedic medicines are derived from plants, they would not cause any side effect if we take them without the consultation of a doctor. But what happens is because we know the certain side effects or certain effects that these medicines have, we take them without the prescription. But at the end, it has been seen as he presented in his paper also that many severe injuries could also happen as a result of taking these Ayurvedic medicines, especially liver injury. So I learned that whenever I am going to take any kind of medicine, be it Ayurvedic or allopathic, I should always consult a doctor. And I found the article very interesting because it allows you to broaden your horizon of understanding of various medical or medicine systems that are available in our country.

So mental health nowadays have been widely talked about and more awareness have been created recently and it's appreciated as well I feel. And it is something that cannot be taken into lightly. It has to be discussed, it has to be treated otherwise it can cause a lot of health issues mentally such as depression, anxiety attacks and all of that for example. So while reading it I could relate a lot with the article I would say because it gave a sense of fairness. And it was a good thing because the new generation is actually becoming more aware about all of these things than the earlier generation. So when such an article which has been widely published all around Kerala to which a lot of women are readers of it, readers of the same and it's also been narrated in our native language that is Malayalam which makes the reader more able to understand with regard to the same. And they could be more aware of the situation and sometimes they would never know they could even help their children if they are suffering from the same kind of traumas or mental issues and it will not be seen unnoticed in a household I feel. So that is very much useful to not just a particular group but for everybody for that matter.

I would like to describe an article on the health that I read in a newspaper recently. It was on the adverse effect of junk foods on children's health. I read it in a newspaper online when I was casually scrolling through the Google News. I learnt about various negative impacts of these junk foods, both on physical as well as mental health of the children. With respect to mental health, how they get addicted to these sugary things just to fill their tummy, or how they avoid having healthy foods because consuming these junk foods very frequently increases their dopamine levels. They keep enjoying these bad foods and they start refusing to eat good healthy vegetables or fruits. Consequently, they get devoid of nutrients which are very essential for their growth. Also, how the psychology of the parents like to pacify their kids or to make them calm down, to make the children calm down. They use these junk foods to bribe or gift them, having an impact on the health of the children overall. I read about that.

Actually I read an article in the internet that says that AI is now participating in health care as well, such as AI in brain diagnosis, AI in kidney stone diagnosis, so AI is taking over tasks in health care as well. So after reading this article I felt like what? AI is taking over all these things which cannot be done by a non-human thing and I thought it was not practically implemented and I read this article a week ago in an interview survey. And from that I learned that in this globalized world now AI is taking over all the jobs and the engineering part has already taken by some AI such as Chachibity, Gemini and Perplexity. These AI are already took on the engineering field but now in the medical field AI is coming over and getting up to human and we can hear news that many people have developed AI based health care solutions and they have won some startup prize in order to start a business from that. So we have to adapt according to the AI and build our goals and we should travel according to that.

I work in a company named as BOMAC, so it's a German multinational company who really also deals with the importance of health and understanding the need of it and the employees to implement it in their life. So we had a training last week in which the topic was the safety of heart, like how much important is it and what impact does cigarettes and vaping or inhaling harmful gases or chemicals can cause to us and how it can deteriorate and have draconian impact on our health. So we were basically assigned an assignment in which we were supposed to look after what are the harmful impacts on the heart, so I read a magazine in which there was a similar article about it of one of the famous Indian doctors and the content of the article was basically implying to the severe cases which they come across when they come to know that people have been smoking cigarettes very continuously and like day to day maybe four to five times a day and what basically happens is once you smoke the cigarettes, your blood vessels get swollen up and the heart rate becomes higher and the flow really pumps so fast in your body that it can impact your heart lately and even if you are a bronchitis patient then it can also affect severely on your lungs. So the effects of such habits could be very devastating and inevitably we need to look after those concerns because if we do not stop it then it can create more congestion in your chest and basically you can lead towards a cardiac arrest or a heart attack. So the doctor suggested on the concerns and highlighting the importance of reducing the

I recently read an article which caught my attention. It described the eating habits of people. It compared the lifestyle of people living in villages and cities. In rural areas, people were mainly covered with greenery which keeps the environment pollution free. And people usually eat what they grow in their farm. For example, wheat, rice, milk, ghee, vegetables etc. which keeps them fit and healthy. Also, they indulge in the physical work like farming, growing trees and other things. While on the other hand, urban areas, most of the land is covered by buildings and industry. So, the environment gets polluted very easily. And also, their people will not get that fresh air as compared to village areas. But here, they have an advantage where they can have access to technology more easily. People are likely to deliver what they want to eat, their favorite food items or any other grocery items. They are less involved in physical work as compared to the people in rural areas. Due to which, they are more obese as compared to them.

Recently I read an article on the impact of social media on our health and it just made me realise and put me in the mood of self-introspection on how social media is ruining our lives some way or the other if we don't take care of it. I read it recently only on the internet and social media in general is a thing that is pretty common in our time. Nothing works without social media and it just has a very negative impact on our mental health as well as our physical health. In terms of physical health it has led to problems like obesity. When people are much more on social media they tend to get lazy, they binge eat and they don't exercise or move around a lot. It has led to problems like obesity and this is the reason that many people are trying to work out more and are in the gyms these days because they don't realise it's the social media that has put them in the state of a bad physical health. And social media has a great impact on the mental health as well. The article had many records and it had many reports on how it has put so many people in the state of depression or anxiety and in today's time it's such a busy world we live in. Everybody has, nobody has time for spending time with other people, they're always either on social media or they're working and they don't realise the impact it has on our health. We tend to sit after coming back from work, which are very long hours, we tend to just sit at home, scroll through social media instead of working out, spending time with people, spending quality time with friends, moving around, exercising, we don't do all of that these days.

So, I generally don't read magazines but recently I started going to gym and since we require a lot of protein intake, I was thinking of buying protein shakes and protein powders but before that I was a bit scared because people have told me, a lot of people who are experienced in bodybuilding and all, so they recommended me not to depend on protein powders and just to make sure, just to have a clarity, I used to search in the internet about the protein powder and their harmful effects. So there are like both, like both perspectives are available online. So some say that it's normal, it's processed but it's made from a natural product so you don't have to worry much about it but there was an article where, I don't remember the doctor name, doctor's name but yeah, so he was saying that directly consuming 30-26 grams of protein won't be easy for our stomach to digest and since protein shakes don't have much of fiber and other dietary nutrition, it's very hard for our stomach to digest and absorb those proteins. So even if we are absorbing, even if we are taking like 26-30 grams of protein, it doesn't mean the body is absorbing those 30 grams since it's a very incomplete source and it's very unnatural for our body to have 30 grams of protein in our stomach without any fiber or other nutrition. So that's why he was recommending if you are, if you can, then please depend on natural sources like chicken or some paneer but don't go for any artificial protein or protein powder.

I am the person who is usually so enthusiastic about health and I am the person who reads so many health articles and the blogs which are available in New Era. So for having so much of hair fall I usually went down and read so many blogs or articles reporting to regrowth of hair. I recently get to know one of the Amla hair oil or the Amla juice with different items which help us to regrow our hair fastly than other ingredients or other products. I get to know that it is so good to eat also and which having a nice taste and we don't need to add sugar. It is a mixture of Amla, Cucumber and Curry leaves which help us to make so much better our hair growth and it shines our hair so brightly and give a good healthy hair. I get to know that in the page called healthy tips which I get it from a Instagram page which owned by some lady and she making this juices and also distributing all over Kerala itself. So I want to get to know about that and at that time it was out of stock but I want to really get to know that so I read it so nicely. I also shared that magazine with my friends and family which help them to get that.
