This Kurzgesagt is a German publication and it publishes many articles regarding science and technology and I happened to find this magazine in a relative's place and this particular article was very interesting to me because it dealt with a very important question and with a problem that I had been facing myself personally in my own life. So in addition to listing out the reasons behind why a person might have stress in his life the article also explores possible solutions and how to deal with stress in their lives and some suggestions given out by the article to deal with stress in a person's life are frequent exercise and a healthy diet and also a balanced social life. When a person is able to do all these things he can successfully mitigate or reduce the amount of stress that he has in their life and when the person reduces stress it has a direct impact on his physical and mental health.

A few months ago I read an interesting article about the benefits of drinking water everyday. I came across it on health and fitness website while I was browsing the internet. The title immediately caught my attention because I had recently started going to the gym and I wanted to improve my overall lifestyle. The article explained in detail how water plays a vital role in keeping our body hydrated, improving digestion, and every boosting congestion. It also mentioned that dehydration can cause headache, tiredness, and lack of focus. The writer suggested that people should drink at least 2-3 litres of water daily, depending on their activity level and climate. I found this article very useful because it was simple, practical, and based on scientific fact. After reading it, I started drinking water more. Throughout the day, I also replaced sugary drinks with plain water, which really helped me feel more energetic and fresh.

Most recently, the article that I read over the internet was on the topic of health and how it has four facets to it. In the common day's understanding and everyday understanding, we are told that health has two aspects in it, which is physical and the mental aspect. However, in that particular article, it was told that the health has four areas. One is physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. One person is considered to be healthy if somebody has an adequate balance in all the four aspects of health. However, in the social setup, what we usually see is the physical health is given the utmost importance However, the importance on the psychological health, mental well-being, spiritual health or overall mental health is not given a lot of importance However, to have a healthy sustaining lifestyle, we need to have an adequate balance in the all four spectrums One cannot be considered healthy if they have an implicit amount in one category and not much in the others

Follow up questions

What do you think is the most important aspect of health?
I believe that while all four aspects are crucial, mental health often takes precedence. A person can be physically fit but if they are struggling emotionally or mentally, their overall health is compromised. Therefore, mental well-being should be prioritized to achieve a balanced life.

How can people improve their emotional and spiritual health?
Improving emotional health can involve practices like journaling, therapy, or engaging in hobbies that bring joy. For spiritual health, activities like meditation, spending time in nature, or participating in community service can foster a deeper connection with oneself and others.

Why do you think physical health is prioritized over other aspects?
Physical health is often more visible and measurable, making it easier to assess. Society tends to focus on physical appearances and fitness levels, which can overshadow the importance of mental and emotional well-being. This can lead to neglecting the holistic view of health.

Recently, I have read articles about growing heart conditions, especially in India. The younger generations are now facing more heart attacks as compared to previously, where elderly people with ages above 60 used to face these conditions. But nowadays, younger generations are more affected by this, which is completely unusual. But I think there is a link, there is a connection to our lifestyle nowadays, which cannot be ignored. Younger generations are not as fit and healthy as our parents used to be in our age. The activity in household and even sports have seen a decline over the years. Younger generations are not going out to play sports and just to take a stroll, they are sitting in their homes, curled up in their beds, watching TV, playing video games, which is impacting their health and they are not even realising it. The Generation X, which they now call it, they don't even listen to their parents regarding to these conditions.

Follow up questions

What lifestyle changes do you think could improve heart health in younger generations?
I believe that incorporating regular physical activity, such as sports or even daily walks, can significantly improve heart health. Additionally, promoting a balanced diet and reducing screen time can help younger people become more aware of their health and make better choices.

How can parents encourage their children to lead a healthier lifestyle?
Parents can set a good example by being active themselves and involving their children in outdoor activities. They can also limit screen time and encourage participation in sports or group activities, making it a fun and engaging experience for their kids.

What role do you think technology plays in the health of younger generations?
Technology has a dual role; while it can promote health through fitness apps and online resources, it often leads to sedentary lifestyles. Balancing technology use with physical activity is crucial to ensure that it benefits rather than harms health.

Recently I read an article on health in National Geographic's online magazine. The article focused on the importance of gut health and how it affects not only digestion but also mental well-being. It explained that trillions of microorganisms live in our intestines forming what is known as the gut microbiome. The article highlighted how eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and fermented foods like yogurt and kimchi can improve gut bacteria. While too much processed food and sugar can harm it, what I found really interesting was the connection between gut health and mood. Because studies suggest that an unhealthy gut can contribute to stress, anxiety and even depression. The piece also offered practical advice such as drinking more water, exercising regularly and avoiding unnecessary antibiotics. Overall the article was very informative and made me realize that taking care of our digestive system plays a much larger role in overall health than most people think.

Follow up questions

What changes have you made to your diet after reading the article?
After reading the article, I started incorporating more fermented foods like yogurt and kimchi into my diet. I also try to eat more fruits and vegetables and have reduced my intake of processed foods and sugar. I feel more energetic and healthier since making these changes.

How do you think gut health affects mental well-being?
I believe gut health is crucial for mental well-being because the gut microbiome can influence our mood and stress levels. The article mentioned studies linking an unhealthy gut to anxiety and depression, which makes me think that taking care of our digestive health can lead to better mental health.

What other health topics interest you?
I'm particularly interested in topics related to nutrition and mental health. I also enjoy reading about the benefits of exercise and how lifestyle choices impact overall health. Articles that explore the connection between physical and mental well-being are especially fascinating to me.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, the article that I recently read online was about pollution in Delhi. I read this article nearly a week ago that really enlightened my brain into thinking that how are people living in this brutally insensitive and unhealthy environment. On one hand, we say that Delhi is capital of India and it's a land of opportunities, good transportation, but on the other hand, it is somewhere lacking the basic human needs that an individual requires to survive in day-to-day life. I found that article really enlightening because it not only draws attention towards the rising human issue but also towards the health issues which is linked to small children and old people as due to this pollution, there are not only risks for students, children and old age people but also to the environment, to the flora and fauna that's depreciating. What I feel personally that my takeaway from that article would be to ask questions to the authorities that how can we implement change to improve the situation in the Delhi. Will it ever be worth breathing and living in the city as capital of India? It is very important for us to raise these questions and demand for a sustainable and living environment.

Today I would like to describe an article on health that I recently read. I actually found this article on World Health Organization web link. I was just scrolling through my Instagram when I suddenly clicked this link and I landed on here. And I'm really grateful that I read all of this article. This article presented an idea where the stress was the major reason of aging. I definitely agree with this statement because the reactive oxygen species that get formed in our body are definitely destructive towards our bodily functions. It impairs our cognitive performance and our memory as well. Along with that our beauty and the rejuvenation power diminishes because of these reactive species which are caused because of hectic schedules. In the past I was really ignorant towards my schedule and my routines. I never included anything related to my health wellness but after reading this article I have started including facial massage and various techniques like Reiki and acupressure. I think it really helps my body to relax and I also perform Pilates and Yoga so that my body can function in its best form. I really want to keep myself updated in this way.

I do read a lot of articles as I am someone who is from a scientific background and want to pursue my further career in it. So I was reading this article about quite a nascent phenomenon that is the light pollution and how it makes you feel hungry which was quite interesting. And as deep as I read, as deep as I went through it, I realized that this is much more than just increment of your hunger because we do not perceive light or specifically the artificial light as a major threat to our natural physiological activities. What it helped me, this article particularly, is I got influence to do my research on this particular topic and that is exactly what I am doing right now. I am focusing on the effects of artificial light at night on behavioral biology of several organisms as it is a pervasive pollutant that has been spread over Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Europe. Almost 99% of these areas are affected by it which is quite concerning and it is a broader yet un-researched field and that is why I am more interested toward it. me and my supervisor are dealing with.

Okay, so just few days back when I was sitting outside my nutritionist office, I was waiting for my turn and I saw an article in the People's Magazine about fat diets and how harmful they are and how they are actually affecting a lot of the younger generation in the recent times. So I found the heading itself very interesting and it was written by Ms. Sharma, Rita Sharma and she was a renowned nutritionist. So I was very intrigued by it and I thought to give it a read and I saw several different types of diets like intermittent fasting, the OMAD diet and examples of celebrities who do promote such diets, even the no sugar dieting and such, but it specifically showed how these are not just creating physical effects on us, but it is also mentally providing a lot of issues to especially the younger generation. It is creating insecurities, it is making the younger generation follow such harmful diets without proper information on them, which is making it even more harmful for their bodies. Nowadays, there are children under the age of 12 who are trying to lose weight in such harmful ways, especially when they are in the age where they should be eating well nutritious food for growth, they are following such diets which can stunt and affect their growth and it was very interesting to me because in this day and age when we see so many different fad diets on the internet, this article was really speaking the truth of it and you know how it kind of really does impact especially the younger generation and yeah, it was just very insightful and I think a lot of us have a lot we can learn from it, especially our children, we must show it.

There is a very common myth that was busted when I read an article on the consumption of coffee on our health. I came across that article while scrolling through my phone. What was striking to me about the article was that usually people believe that consuming caffeine while studying or to avoid feeling drowsy causes you to be alert and very vigilant and become hyper-focused. However, it can have adverse effects in the long term. It can cause a lot of brain alterations such as hyper-alertness or vigilance can lead the brain to get fatigued and can hamper long-term productivity. Over-reliance on caffeine can cause bones to get weak and overall immunity may drop. The article was really useful as people around me really love coffee though I am not a heavy caffeine consumer but it helped me to convey this message to my friends and family that they should be very vigilant about how much and when they are consuming coffee. One useful tip that was shared in the article was that after consuming a small amount of caffeine, one should take a nap so that once they are awake they can focus for a longer period of time. This was something that was controversial and I did not know about, neither did people around me.

A few months ago, I came across a fascinating article on the internet titled, The secret to a healthy mind and body published on the BBC health website. It immediately caught my attention because it talked about something most of us tend to ignore, the strong connection between mental health and physical fitness. The article explained that regular exercise not only helps in maintaining physical strength but also plays a crucial role in improving mood and reducing stress levels. It mentioned several scientific studies proving that people who engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily are less likely to suffer from anxiety or depression. What I really liked was how the writer emphasized simple lifestyle changes like eating balanced meals, getting enough sleep, and practicing mindfulness instead of suggesting unrealistic diets or intense gym routines. I decided to read this article because I was going through a stressful period preparing for my exams and I wanted to find natural ways to stay calm and focused. Honestly, it was an eye-opener for me. After reading it, I started doing light workouts and morning meditation and I genuinely felt more energetic and positive throughout the day. What impressed me most was the author's writing style. It was informative yet inspiring, with a perfect balance of facts and motivation. As the saying goes, health is wealth and this article truly reminded me that nothing matters more than our physical and mental well-being. To sum up reading that health article was a game changer for me. It not only broadened my perspective on fitness but also encouraged me to adopt a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. And this really helped me in getting prepared for my examinations.

Being a psychology student, I do understand the complexities of the human mind, brain and behavior. The article talked about first aid help for people suffering through what now is the common mental illness like depression, anxiety or any other complex feelings. It talked about how community plays a huge part in treating or helping the person in question with his or her mental suffering.
