When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I take great pleasure in playing my favorite sport which is football. Football is a sport which is very dear to me since my childhood. It was a sport which was introduced to me by my elder brother when he was playing for my district team. He was in a very well-reputed club which is Blue Star FC. When I was watching him, the athletic side of the football gave me an inspiration and dream to pursue my interest in football. Football is a sport which is played all over the world and all the major countries participate in it. I also like a football club which is known as Real Madrid. It is a football club which is based in Spain. While coming from my work, I usually play football with my friends. We go to nearby playground where we gather around and play football for 2-3 hours. This time of hours is the best time of the day for me. Whenever I play football, I sort of transfer to another magical world.

The activity I do after school is that I play football as I'm an aspiring footballer who wants to achieve a professional football contract. I do it with my fellow football team mates with the help of a personal coach which we all have named Suraj Sir. We do it in a near playground of our residence which is around 15 minutes walking distance from our house. I feel really grateful that I'm in this school as I get to learn a lot of things that can change my life. That is not only important for the game but also for my personal and school life. Something like, no matter how bad you do, no matter how bad the time is, you can always change it if you lock in. Other than that, a very crucial teaching that football teaches us is that one person alone can't do everything. It is very important to have a good team and to maintain coordination with your team mates and respect that everyone, every individual in the team has certain roles which they fulfil. Without that, the team and the individual...

One of the activities that I participate in after work is playing the piano. Music has been one of the greatest hobby of mine since I was growing up and I have developed my skills based on that hobby so that I could entertain myself for my own benefit. I play the piano in the evening or at night with the headphones on and I play it in the music room. It is an electronic synthesizer but it has the tone of piano which is very close to the actual one. I can play other instruments on it as well which actually is a very good option instead of buying only a piano. I prefer indulging in this activity by myself without any audience since I am trying to compose my own music and I love to be alone while I do that. This activity leaves me feeling euphoric and elated since I enjoy when the music that I play comes together and blends into a beautiful composition. I feel a great sense of satisfaction when I play the piano and not to mention the feeling of relief and relaxation that I get after a long hectic day at work when I play the piano. Nonetheless, it is an activity that I do during work hours as well.

In this hustle and bustle of the life, people do not have time to spend with themselves. However, I believe that everyone should take out some time and should use them in the development of the self. I usually went for my interest to follow. After my work hours, I go to badminton classes which is my utmost priority and I was a national level champion during my school days and I have continued that till date. No matter what, how much I am busy, I will always continue doing that. It's not everyone's cup of tea to follow this thing and to regularly maintain their priorities and their interest. But it feels delightful that I am involved in such activities. It's not like I am not that much busy, I take out time for myself because it is paramount thing for our mental health and for our self to go with the flow of the life. It is icing on the cake for me to have badminton in my life because it has developed me as an individual, my focus has increased and in near future I will more practice it. Also, I will start other hobbies too like cooking, dancing and other interests which I have forgotten since my school days were over. So, I will definitely look into it.

The activity that I do after work is gardening. It is a hobby that I have cultivated in the early years of my life. I enjoy doing it in this small garden around the front porch of my house. It gives me a sense of purpose when I see the plants that I planted grow and bear fruits and flowers. It also keeps me active and motivated. It makes me feel that I am a nurturer and I have the capacity to nurture something and make it grow. It gives me a deep sense of purpose which at times I find it lacking due to the mundane work I have to do on a daily basis. It is kind of hereditary that I find happiness in gardening because my parents were also avid gardeners. Now with age they have reduced their interest but nevertheless they also enjoy gardening and I try to involve them also in my pursuit of gardening.

After work, one activity I really enjoy is evening walking in the park near my home. It's a simple routine but it helps me unwind after a long and often hectic day. The park is not very large but it has a walking track surrounded by trees, flowers and a small pond which creates a calm and refreshing atmosphere. I usually walk for about 30-40 minutes. During this time I try to focus on the sounds of the nature, birds chirping, leaves rustling in the breeze rather than thinking about work. Sometimes I listen to podcasts or soft music which makes the experience even more relaxing. I started doing this activity about a year ago because I realized I needed a healthier way to deal with stress. Since then I have noticed improvements in both my physical health and mental well-being. So walking not only helps me stay fit but it also clears my mind allowing me to start the next day with more energy and positivity. It's a mindful ritual that restores my energy and prepares me to face the following day with a fresh perspective.

The activity that I do after school most of the days is practice music. I come home, I freshen up, I have my cup of coffee for the day and then I start practicing music. Twice a week my music teacher also comes home to take lessons so we sing together and we also even record covers sometimes and post it on Instagram. Music is what gives me the peace I need and it's like a therapy for me and even when I don't have classes I still sit up and practice my music lessons on my own. I am really good at singing and I get that a lot and I really want to improve singing as well. I am currently learning Carnatic from a very professionally trained teacher and I'm also learning Western on my own so it's like juggling both worlds but then I really want to do good and make a career out of it someday.

After work, when I reach home around 4.30, I, along with my sister, run to the terrace to see the sunset. We watch the colours of the dawn together. It particularly feels magical when I see the sunset. Sometimes I see the hues of red and some other time it is the shades of blue. I wait throughout the day for this particular moment. Additionally, we eat fruits at the terrace. Sometimes we chit chat and I look for this particular activity throughout the day. I enjoy watching sunsets. In addition, sometimes I draw the sky at the terrace itself. I bring my painting colours and I sketch it and fill my paintings with the hues I see in the sky. It is very peaceful to see the dawn. It brings peace, calmness and serenity in me.

My hobby or more of like my passion is art. I've been doing it since childhood. At first it started off with just randomly drawing what I see, be it small cartoons which I had in my gift boxes or just random illustrations in my books. I used to just draw in them and you know try to be perfect with them but eventually it grew and then I happened to be in the field similarly to it. I usually like to do art alone. I know a lot of people who are into a habit of doing art with a lot of people but for me I think it's more meditative and I just want to be around me, around my feelings, around my emotions all together. It's just me and I don't want another person's influence because it's something very spiritual to me and how I connect with it. It's a medium of how I actually emote my emotions on a canvas and which I'm not able to actually express through words so for me it's just a long process and I don't like really people around me or just talking to me. I like to be in my own spiritual head. Other than that how it makes me feel is something extraordinary. It's just I have the sense of calmness when I'm actually painting. I don't have to think about the world. I don't have to think about my future. I don't have to think about anything else in my life. It's just me and my canvas, the brushes that I hold and the movements I make on the canvas. It's just how there's a resonance there, a telepathic connection between me and the canvas and that's spiritual and sort of intriguing to me as a non-living thing.
