When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Today I would like to talk about one of my favorite hobbies that is cooking. It's not just a hobby or an activity to do but also a necessity for me. Because I live in a different city apart from my family and I'm living all alone here. I have to cook everyday for myself. Usually I cook twice in a day. In the morning I make my breakfast and lunch. And then once I return to home from my work I have to cook for my dinner. If you ask me when I enjoy the most it will be of course the night time. Because if I'll talk about the morning time when I usually go with the lunch and breakfast. It is a time when I'm in a bit hurry. I have different things to do. A lot of thoughts are there. I cannot concentrate. And usually I get late for my workplace. So that is something I take it as a responsibility or as something which I have to do anyhow. But once I'm back to home from the office.

So after school, I come back after school to play games with my friends. It is some extracurricular activities that I like to participate in. It also gives me physical exercise to start with. But this was back in school. Now everything has changed as I come back from work to go to the gym. That also helps me get my physical exercise going. It doesn't keep me lazy. So I think physical exercise is very important for an individual. I used to cycle down to the nearby park when I used to come back from school, along with my four or five friends. We used to play cricket back in the park. Now it has been very dry as I come back from work tired, and then I force myself to go to the gym to burn some calories and keep it going. So yeah, this is the activities I do after I come back from school and work or work.

Hobbies are very essential for everyone's life. Hobbies and activities, especially after doing school's homework, feel connected to ourselves from the shifting daylights. We know that doing a hobby, how it affects a child's mind. There are clinical studies that show how hobbies affect the human brain. It helps to produce melanin, melatonin, producing oxytocin, the happier hormone, and it helps to trans-ascend the activities of the neurons to work more efficiently. Apart from that, it gives a personal harmony and we feel less tense because we love to do such things. The activities I used to do after my school are drawing, quilting, embroidery, etc. I learned embroidery during my class, which I learned from my teacher. The pencil drawings I do is self-taught. Now I am able to draw portraits, landscapes, etc. Another thing is that I love to do crafts. Clay modeling is my best in that.

I love playing shuttlecock. I used to play badminton after my college hours. The sessions would range from 3 hours and we have had it as long as 18 hours a day. It would be on Saturdays and Sundays while we start late in the night and we would continue on and on up to next day noon. It was a really tiring experience. I used to do that with my college buddies. One of the persons whose name was Sibi was a notable talent among my friends. He had a great backhand skill that I always loved to learn but unfortunately I was not able to learn until now. He had a group of friends who he met during his competition times. Collaborating with them we made a clay court in Madurandagam, a place north of Melmaruvathur where we used to play during our weekends. The construction of the court was a tedious process. We used to do it every weekend and it lasted for around one and a half months. At the end of which we had a great court that was indoor in fact covered by palm leaves and a tarpaulin at the top. It was waterproof. We have had great memories there.

So my favorite activity after my school would be to go out with friends in the evening. So we usually took car or bike and we all go out to the hotspots of our city. In the hotspots, some of my favorite places in my city are Papaya Park and Sector 8. So we go there and there are a lot of food vendors who makes really amazing food. So we go there, we eat something and then we roam around the city and sometimes we even go out to the farms and do some work there if needed like cutting grass or giving water to the fields. After that we sometimes take a bath in that water as well that comes out from the tubing. That water seems really cold and I think it's very beneficial for the body as well since it's really cold and it relaxes our muscles. Generally we do that but on special occasions like weekends or some holidays we go out to the picnic spots like as far as hundreds of kilometers away. We go there, we smoke and we eat some stuff and click some pictures with friends there, click some pictures of the sights around and we generally come back late at night from that kind of trips. I do enjoy really that kind of trips so much.
