When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The rule that was very important in our school or it also implies at work is understanding and analyzing before you speak or you give advice to anyone. It is always better to understand the thing, process it in your mind, analyze what the conclusions can be, what the consequences can be, what are the positive effects of that thing and then categorically present the answers to that particular query or question when asked. It is a very good strategy and a very good tool to have better communication skills, better listening skills and rather improving your analytical approach to life examples or life problems which you face in day-to-day affairs. Even in schools, it was mandatory to understand each concept, analyze it in your head and then try and answer to that question. The same thing applies in work as well. Whenever there is a query, you need to understand, you need to adhere to the very problem, go to the root cause, understand how the problem is, what are the root causes of the problem and then categorically analyze it before answering that particular question. It is always advisable to take a sweet time, analyze those things and then answer.

One important rule that goes around in my office is honesty and I think it is a very important rule because honesty is what your base character should be. You cannot be lying in a field which deals with such sensitive things such as your students futures. You have to be very honest with everything that you do and be very clear with everyone. It is an important rule be it in at work or outside. It must be followed to the point. If there is anybody who does not go ahead and follow this rule they do face certain circumstances such as severe punishments for any of their wrongdoing and even if you've done something by error please make sure you've always informed others or your bosses that you have done something wrong because that shows how honest and clean character person that you are.

So, I feel that being punctual is something that is very much important in everyone's life. Punctuality is a quality that children learn from their childhood. The very important rule at my workplace is to be punctual and I am a person who is known for her punctuality at her workplace. So, whenever a person is not punctual at my place, her half day payment is reduced or he or she gets a scolding from the boss. I feel that this quality is very much important to be inculcated in children as well as adults because it gives you a line of discipline. It sets the tone of the day and being punctual not only helps you to be disciplined and very much goal focused in your life but it also helps you to gain respect in the society. So, whenever you are punctual to meet someone, whenever you are on time and you are not running late, it makes the other person feel important and it creates a good image of you in front of that person. I feel punctuality is a very good quality to have and not only it's very much missing in our society but it's something that is to be taught from the schooling itself.

I am a trader in the Indian stock market and I work individually. I have made a set of rules and regulations which I need to follow in each and every trade I take. I have made a special process which requires to be followed at every step of the investment process. It involves how much risk to be taken, how to take trades, when to take it and when to exit. I think it is very important to follow these set of rules and processes as it helps me take the decisions without a risk and I know what I can lose or gain during the trade. If we tend to break this rule and not follow it, I may overexpose my portfolio and increase my risk without any benefit and if something goes south there is no coming back from that. So it is very important for me to follow the set of guidelines I have placed in order so that I will never be in losses and always make a profit and have a positive portfolio. We all tend to make mistakes. That is natural but following the rules even after that if you lose a trade that is okay. As we know, eventually following this process in the long run would be beneficial and will always be profitable. So I very firmly believe

One of the, or actually, three of the important rules, if I had to say so, which are important in my college school are, first of all, following the correct time, second is you need to maintain a proper dress code, and third, and the last rule, which is an important rule in my college is you have to wear an ID card. All these rules were already present since the college was established, but they were heavily enforced when I was in second year of my graduation. These, you need to follow these rules if you want to enter the campus, and I really think that the college faculty has implemented these rules in order to promote a proper discipline and increase the reputation of the college. I sometimes feel like these rules are over-enforced and they give a feeling that I am in some sort of cage as such. I don't really feel like I am in college or I have the freedom which I deserve. There is a penalty of Rs. 500 if you break any of these rules first time, and then after first time, if you break the rule, there is a penalty of Rs. 1000, if I had to say, and I think these rules should be present. These rules promote discipline, but the thing is I sometimes feel like faculties use these rules to sometimes bully children, and even the class representatives use these rules to bully each other. Yeah, that is one thing that I wish I could change about.

    Band 6-7

Rules help in development of a harmonious and peaceful society. If we all obey the rules, we would be benefited by it. The first place where we learn about rules is our school. A school is a place where a person learns about rules and code of conduct. The student is taught about discipline and how the rules should be followed. One such rule in my school was to come dressed in a proper uniform. Like all the schools, we had these rules for completing our homework dressed tidily and others such as maintaining discipline in the classroom. But the one that was focused more was on our uniforms. We had two uniforms, one for the weekdays in which we had to wear a white shirt and a grey pant and for the Saturdays we had to wear a white shirt and a white pant. If any person was not dressed properly or didn't come wearing that dress, he or she was punished by separating them out of the crowd and making them stand on one leg for half an hour. This offence was often overlooked if it was repeated for the first time as the offender wasn't known about the rule. But if a person repeats it again, then the principal made them run seven rounds of the PT ground which was a very large ground. So this was the rule that was imposed very strictly on the students and in my opinion, every student must obey the rules which helped him living the life in a more disciplined way.

Punctuality is something that is insisted upon in my office. So we are working hours are from 9 o'clock in the morning to 5.30 pm. And you have a rest period of 15 minutes. So the maximum you can be late to work is till 9.15 am. And you can leave by 5.15. But if this continues, a part of your leave will be deducted. The consequences of coming late is that a half day will be deducted from your leave balance. And to many this is too precious a price to pay. Because most people would want to accumulate their leaves so that they can go on vacations or visit their hometowns. I think it is important in a place of education or work because this gives a sense of responsibility. And creates an equal atmosphere for everybody. I also feel that once such rules are in place, these values are imbibed in us and we use them in our daily life. So you wouldn't want to be late for a meeting or you wouldn't want to be waiting for somebody else if they are running late. If they have an appointment with you. Usually that is just unpleasant and irritating. So I feel this is important at the workplace because a lot of things happen in our flow which is important. And which brings everybody together as one unit.

    Band 6-7

One of the most significant rules at a workplace or at a school is to follow a uniform dress code. I personally believe having a particular dress code is very important as it creates a sense of unity among the students and the workers within. There are students coming into school with different societal backgrounds. Some hail from a luxurious lifestyle whereas some are from poverty stricken backgrounds. School gives them the environment to feel equal and I think maintaining that equilibrium is very important. At school and at work, breaking such a rule would create a sense of inequality among the students and among the workers causing a bond between them to tarnish. Hence I believe this to be a very important rule in my mind.

    Band 6-7

In my opinion, a rule that is important in school or work is punctuality, because punctuality is a very much important tool to determine a person's life as well as his behavior. When we break the rule punctuality, like when a person is not punctual, it can affect his personal as well as professional life, because in work profession as well as school life, punctuality is very important as the student or the worker should be in time and should be punctual about all his things, so he can become a better human being, moreover that I believe a person who is not punctual can be isolated from the society, because it will be very irritating for others people to survey with a person who is not punctual, as we all know that time is very important for every person, so we should respect that time, that is the thing I believe and I stick to stick on, and from my personal experience, I also have a friend who is not punctual in anything, and for the first time it was ok for me, but as the day by day goes, it was very annoying and I got irritated, and when there is a function or an event, we will rather go alone than calling him or than going with him, because we felt kind of irritated, because

can so definitely I think the main rule that I think it is very important at school or at an office is discipline because discipline is something that if you learn at an early stage let's say in school that will carry over in your later part of the life and it will help you and if the society as a whole is more disciplined that allows for proper functioning of the society I myself try to be as disciplined as I can be at public places or wherever I go so that I do not create any problem for other people around me one of the example is I try not to break lines for ATM queues and so on and I think everybody should follow the disciplines especially at public places which will make our society work better and we will be kind towards each other and I think it is easier that you teach the discipline in the earlier part in school because once you are an adult now you have your own personalities and you have your own biases so then it becomes a little difficult for you to mold and get disciplined at the later part so I think it's better that you start with it in the school and then they definitely carry it to your offices.
