When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, one important rule that instantly comes to my mind from my school and from my work would be the rule to reach the school or work at time. It was such an important and strict rule that anybody who comes after a certain time during the day would either be marked absent or during my school time or in my work, their salary for that day would be deducted by half. That rule was basically made during the school or in the work because to make people punctual, to put in discipline within them and to make them realize the value of time management because if you start your work late, if you start studying late, you are never going to finish your work by the time and things will start keep postponing and everything will turn into a mess by the time it is time to show your results or show your work. So, during my school and in my work, I sometimes hate that rule because of genuine reasons I reach my workplace a little bit late. However, it still always pushes me to wake up on time, get ready and leave for work so that I won't be late and my salary won't be deducted just because for 5 or 10 minutes.

    Band 6-7

I would say time is one of the most important rules that has been followed up in my workspace because it gives an individual the sense of punctuality, the sense of reliability over any other individuals out there. So if a person is not on time in my workspace, so it is nothing about a decrease in pay scale or anything, but you know it always makes him a little bit unconfident over his presentations and stuff. For example, I can quote this with an example. So if I indeed come to a meeting, let's say 15 or 10 minutes late, and I want to present something to all the directors out there, I will be really nervous because I'll be thinking in my mind, why did I come late? And what made me really come late? Will they think that? And this will also decrease my confidence towards any presentation. So punctuality is often seen as a very formal thing in our workspace. It's not a loudspoken rule, but of course, people note it in hidden ways, in various hidden ways. And it is, I think it is also a factor for our price in the sense, various other stuff. I think whether this is important or not, I would say it is very important because this can build your, the punctuality can really build your confidence level, at least for me.

    Band 6-7

Rules are really mandatory in schools and even in the workplace because I think it brings discipline and positivity in the environment. Here I would love to talk about one such rule which is really crucial in my school period that is wearing uniform. It is mandatory in India and even I guess outside of the country it is also mandatory to wear uniform because I think it is really important and one can avoid any discrimination between students. If anyone break the rules, one should have to pay penalty and fees. Along with that, they are not allowed to attend any classes. Additionally, if they don't wear uniform regularly, teachers used to call parents and they always say that the parents are the one who teach them discipline and manners. So it used to be very strict in my school. It is prohibited to attend any classes and even entering into the class, it also described the identity of particular schools. I always feel an equality among other students, especially when it comes to the area where a person is determined by their wealth and their status. The school uniforms are the one which brings everyone on the one ground. It is like a blessing in disguise to movement, I never feel any differentiation between students. Along with that, I can say that it is a really great way to bring unity among students and toddlers so they can learn equality at a very young age. They don't showcase their wealthiness and people don't feel isolated when they come from a poor background. I can say that.

    Band 6-7

So, there used to be this rule in the school I used to study in. It was regarding our uniforms and our dress code, the way we were dressed, sorry, try again. What is the rule about, happens on break, an important rule. How you feel about the rule? So this was the rule that was set in our school and it was on our dress code. So basically, we used to have this dress code where our skirts are not supposed to be above the knee level for women and there was no particular rule, dress code or rule set for men of our class, boys of our class and if we ever break this rule, we were supposed to like go back to our home or wear a spare shorts underneath those skirts and this particular rule felt very misogynistic, I never liked it because there were no particular rules for boys but always there were particular rules for women or girls of the class. I never liked it particularly because it showed bias.

So in our office, there is one unsaying rule, that is you have to respond all the emails within a 24 hours, no matter what kind of email you are getting, you just have to respond it in the 24 hours. The idea behind this rule was very simple, just to make sure that we are timely responding to the clients or the stakeholders and ensuring that we are delivering on the time. So in my opinion, I feel it's necessary just to show the, just to let the other party know that we are working on those emails or we have acknowledged the receipt and we are working on this. It's necessary to keep them updated so they, on the back of the mind, they know that we are already have started working on it. If someone don't respond within a 24 hours, there are no such consequences, but obviously they will get, they will get scold by their managers or their deliverables will get delayed or while the performance appraisal time, this issue might be raised by the seniors. So I feel it's important to respect this rule and respond all the emails within the, in the timely manner.

    Band 6-7

One rule that was mandatorily asked us to follow was to talk in English. Every time a teacher catches us not speaking in English or speaking any other words in any other different language, we were asked to put one rupee in a jar. So it was the punishment for not talking in English. I believe that rule was to help us improve our English vocabulary and accuracy and fluency. And when we step outside our school and we go out, I believe that would be helpful. That was the reason we were asked to do that. And I feel that rule was quite useful. I see a lot of my friends talk in better English than they used to. You know when you practice to speak in English daily, you start thinking in English. Some words you start thinking in English and your fluency and your flow will improve.

    Band 6-7

No doubt rules and regulations play a paramount part to create a peaceful society. Everything works perfectly with rules whether it is school or any workplace. The first place where a person has to follow the rules in school. Here today I would like to talk about one rule which is important at school. It is about wearing uniform. Like other schools, my school also had a rule of wearing uniform. My school was very strict for wearing uniform. We had one uniform for every day. It was grey coloured pant and a white shirt. It was mandatory for each and every student to come in uniform at school. Students had to face strict action from school authorities if they did not follow this rule. There was a fine of 50 rupees if there was not a valid reason to break the rule. We even had to pay fine if a belt or tie was missing. Additionally, if someone did this repeatedly, school management investigated the students from school. Moving ahead, I feel it is an important rule because this rule brings equality among all students. As pupils from different backgrounds come into school to uniform, to mission the discrimination. It is also an identity of learner and brings discipline. All in all, I feel good about this rule because following this rule in school makes the person disciplined in his life. So this is a rule which was important to follow at school.

    Band 6-7

There is one of the rules that is important at work since I am a practicing doctor, we have to reach on time every day for our morning rounds. Rounds are basically a team meeting where we visit all the patients and discuss about their diagnosis, their further treatment as well as how they are feeling after admission to this world. Yes, I really feel this is an important rule because it imbibes discipline into the minds of all our fellow doctors. It is also essential for appropriate patient care. Now what happens is if any of us do not reach on time, we might be issued warnings in the beginning which can further or furthermore followed by memorandums if we are delaying attendance chronically.

    Band 6-7

In schools it is common to have rules. In my school during my younger age we had certain rules that every student was forced to obey. Like we had a rule that we should wear complete uniform every day to school and in Wednesdays we had a separate uniform. Anyone who fails to come in complete uniform will be punished with a fine of rupees hundred. Even if a tie or a socks is missing our principal insist us to pay the fine. Actually these rules are quite are quite good for the younger ones to have a rhythmic or have a habit of

    Band 6-7

Okay, I would like to talk about a very important rule that should be assessed in our school. That is restriction of violence. So many schools have become a puppet place for children or a playground for children. That is not very quite interesting. The restriction of violence is very important for schools. That people, the children are coming with their mobile phones in their bags and using the classrooms. And school is a place where children want to study and explore new things and not using the phone. And they can use the phone after the school but not in the school time. So while entering the school, the children want to be in security purpose. And the security want to check if the children are not taking the mobile phone with them. And if there is any mobile phone that should be handed to the security and keep them safe. It is very important to bring this rule because the children are much aware to bring mobile phone in classrooms. And they will not use it. This is a very crucial situation for our school. Because a mobile phone is becoming a dangerous thing in our life. Because the children are addicted to mobile phones. So according to me it is very important to establish this rule.
