One memorable item I received for free was a beautiful handcrafted leather wallet from a local artisan. I had visited a market during the traditional festival and while browsing through various stalls, the vendor offered me the wallet as a gift. Simply because I had admired his craftsmanship for quite some time. The wallet was not only practical but also exuded a sense of artistry with intricate stitching and a rich deep brown color. Furthermore, it was clear that a great deal of skill and attention to detail had gone into its creation. I felt incredibly grateful not just because of the quality of the gift but also it symbolized the kindness and generosity of the artisan. Nevertheless, what really stood out to me was the fact that the gift was given without any expectations of something in return, which made it even more meaningful. Receiving this thoughtful gift for free left a lasting impression on me as it reminded me that sometimes acts of kindness are not just driven by material value but by joy of giving. The experience also deepened my appreciation for the craftsmanship behind everyday objects. And how something as simple as a wallet can carry so much sentimental value. During the course of my life, I have received many gifts. But today I would like to talk about one such gift which is very close to my heart. The name of the gift is iPhone. There is an interesting story associated with this. A couple of months back, when I cleared my 12th standard with flying colours, my family gave me a surprise party on my birthday at Nishuraj. After that, I went to Nishuraj Headless Greenway with ample space for parking. I entered that and saw a huge chandelier there. After that, my family, my friends and all my relatives were there. There was a huge cake in front of me. I was surprised and shocked. After that, I cut the cake and my father gifted me an iPhone. I was over the moon because I was collecting money for that iPhone. It was very helpful for me because now I can do my online class on that phone. I can click many pictures over there. I clicked many pictures with my family and posted it on their Instagram. My Instagram was flooded with likes and comments. I feel like a pseudo celebrity. After that, we enjoyed many rich varieties of cuisine like Italian, Mexican and others. After that, my friend also gifted me a watch. The watch cost 10,000. My family members also gifted me scenery and other things which helped me a lot. That was the one thing which was really helpful for me.

When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One memorable thing I received for free was a collector's edition of Ruskin Bond's short stories, which I unexpectedly won during a literary conclave in New Delhi last year. I had attended the event simply to listen to panel discussions on contemporary Indian fiction, but towards the end, there was a lucky draw, and to my astonishment, my name was announced. The organizers handed me this exquisite boxed set, and to my sheer delight, every volume was personally signed by Ruskin Bond. The collection itself was stunning. Each book had embossed covers with intricate illustrations of the hills of Missouri where the author lives. Moreover, the books were placed in a finely polished wooden case that gave the entire gift a touch of elegance. Furthermore, inside the box was a small handwritten note from Bond thanking readers for keeping storytelling alive, which made the gesture feel deeply personal. Receiving it filled me with an overwhelming sense of joy and gratitude. As an avid lover of literature, I considered it far more than a material gift. It felt like a symbolic token of creative inspiration. In essence, that unexpected reward reminded me how small serendipitous moments can reignite one's passion for art and learning.

I would like to talk about a complimentary item that I received quite unexpectedly. A premium leather-bound diary that was given to me during a professional seminar I attended last year. So, the event was organized by a renowned educational institution and at the registrar's desk, every participant was presented with a gift bag. Among the usual items such as brochure and pens, there was an elegantly crafted diary which immediately caught my attention. The quality of the material, the smooth texture of the pages and a minimalistic design made it feel more like a luxury product than a simple giveaway. I found it particularly useful as I often prefer to jot down ideas, reminders and reflections by hand rather than relying solely on digital devices. Receiving it at no cost not only saved me from purchasing one but also motivated me to maintain a more structured routine in terms of planning and goal setting. What made it even more memorable was the fact that it was not just a material gift but also a symbolic gesture of professionalism and thoughtfulness. On the part of the organizers, it reminded me that sometimes small complimentary items can carry immense practical as well as sentimental value.

When I was a young child, my beloved grandfather gifted me a soft, adorable panda toy that became my most cherished companion the moment I was instantly captivated by its beautiful black and white fur button size and gentle smile. This panda wasn't just a toy, it was a symbol of my grandfather's love and affection. I would carry this special toy everywhere, to school, on family vacations, to relatives' house. Every adventure became more exciting with my panda by my side, and I would spend countless hours playing, imagining incredible stories, and creating magical worlds together. The toy became my constant friend, providing comfort during uncertain moments and bringing joy to my childhood. Whenever I hugged the panda, I could almost feel my grandfather's warm embrace and hear his loving voice. Even now, years later, this toy remains a treasured possession, presenting not just a childhood memory but the beautiful, unbreakable bond I shared with my grandfather. The panda toy is a tangible reminder of his love, kindness, and the precious moments we shared during my childhood.

The last gift I received was a customized hoodie with my favorite Disney character on it. My friend gave it to me not for my birthday or any special occasion but just a random gift because I kept on ranting about how much I loved that character and I wanted something having that character on it. I had no idea I was going to get it. When I received it, I felt overwhelmed just to see that even my slightest mention of something I like and they got it for me. In that moment, I was not thinking about the gift but about the people, about the friends I've made who care so much about what I like, what I want. I believe friends like these are hard to find and I feel extremely delighted that I have people who genuinely care for me and who would do anything to make me feel happy. Expensive or not, that gift is the closest to my heart because I did not even ask for it. I just mentioned how much I liked it and a few days later, there it was in my hands.

This is an interesting topic. My first thought came to me that there are several gifts which I have got in my life. However, today I would like to talk about a garment watch which was gifted to me by my fitness organization that is the Indian Navy after I have won a major event in the squadron points table. So coming to this, I would like to explain this using a story. So coming to the story, my squadron which is Eagle Squadron is famously known for winning cross countries. There are about 1300 total cadets in the academy and I secured a position, I secured a third position in cross country. Post winning the event, I was presented with a garment watch by the commandant of the academy. With regards to the feeling I had while it was gifted to me, I would say that it was a very overwhelming feeling with all your juniors, your subordinates and your seniors looking at you, you standing on the podium and receiving a watch from the highest seniority post in the academy that is the commandant is a feeling of pride. I cannot explain that feeling in words. That day my chest was swollen with pride. So this watch has many features which has further helped me in recognizing my talent and making me a good runner. In the next cross country which happened in the near future, with the help of the gift which I received from the commandant, I was able to secure runner up position for my squadron and was named the best cadet in the standing positions.

Recently, when I had ordered a crocheted sweater, I had received a small sunflower crocheted keychain and I was actually so happy by looking at it and the parcel also came with a note which said that the keychain is made with a leftover yarn which would actually go to waste but it wasn't, they repurposed the yarn and they coloured it again and they made it into these keychains and they were adding these keychains into all the orders and that was so thoughtful of the brand, I was so happy to receive such a cute little gift. I think more brands should take up such initiatives at least in their own manufacturing units and try to curb on such minor wastes and make something so meaningful and they should just give it out in orders, I mean people love all of these things and basically this is a promotion for them as well so many more brands should focus on getting something like this in their mind and actually implementing it.

I received a replica of Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night for my 18th birthday. It was gifted by my mother. Upon receiving the gift, I was quite enraptured. I have always looked upon to Vincent van Gogh because I was inspired by his life story. So he suffered from a mental health disorder, experts believe it was bipolar disorder, and he even cut off his ear and showed suicidal tendencies. So it is believed that he looked at the night sky and painted what he found it like. And I resonate with this story quite well because I study psychology and I can relate to the sufferings of individuals with mental health disorders as I read about mental illness quite a bit. And I thank my mother because I was always hoping to hang up a replica of the Starry Night in my own room and yeah I was quite happy and satisfied.

Recently, on September 18, 2025, I turned into 22 years. It was my birthday. I received a photo frame as a gift from my friends. These friends stood up with me in my all difficult times, from the beginning till the end. We became friends from the first year and continued our friendship till the final year. On my birthday, everyone contributed and gifted me a photo frame of each of our memorable events. In that, each photo depicts the memories that I had along with them in these journeys. It was so memorable and fun. These were the best things that I received from a long time. I think the only thing I miss is that I'll be not able to spend more time with them. It gives me joy to have such kind of friends who have gifted me a present with which I can forever cherish my memories. I felt tremendous happiness when I received the gift for the first time and it felt really nice and I had tears of happiness. I wish that I will always protect this and cherish the gift given by them and will always look forward about it. And the best thing is that I can carry the photo frame wherever I want. This also shows the respect and love my friends have towards me and the connection we have born. I feel that this friendship always stays and will last longer because friends made with love are always precious and stay forever. I hope that everyone gets friends like I have and I would really appreciate and stay
