When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Something that I received for free as a gift was my current mobile phone. My father gifted it to me three years ago as my birthday gift. I was extremely thrilled to receive a new mobile phone as a birthday gift because I needed it. My old mobile phone was broken. I had been using it with extreme difficulty since a few months and when I told my father that I needed a new one, so he made sure that he would give me as a surprise for my birthday. I needed a new mobile phone because I was starting my college soon and my college was far away from my home, so a proper functional mobile phone was a necessity. I was extremely happy to receive that mobile phone as a gift. I spent a few days transferring all my data from my old mobile phone into the new one. I took care of it like a child takes care of his or her new toy. I bought various accessories from my mobile phone like tempered and back cover and other stuff like that. My mom was also very happy seeing me so excited about a new mobile phone. I thanked my father, I hugged him and I promised him that whenever I need the next mobile phone, I will buy it from my own hard-earned money. He was extremely happy to hear that. As part of a return gift, I took my father out for dinner and I paid for it myself from the money that I had earned during my job. It was an amazing experience and it is a very cherished memory of mine and I am extremely grateful to my father for making my wish come true like that.

A gift that I received recently was an Apple iWatch Series SE, which was given by the Apple Store of my city. There was an offer by the Apple Store that gave the gift to the users who consistently walked 10,000 steps a day throughout 2-3 months. I became eligible for this gift by showing consistency in my daily workout sessions and planned each and every activity of my day to gain those extra steps and convert myself into a more athletic person. I have always wanted an Apple iWatch, so this was the perfect opportunity for me. I got this watch on Boxing Day, ironically, which made it a perfect gift in itself, and I felt over the moon when I got to know about this news. And since then, I have been wearing this Apple Watch daily, even while sleeping, so it is the best gift I already knew I could have asked for.

I would like to talk about an air-conditioning that I had received for free. In my grandmother's village, every year, an event will be taking place on occasion of Sankranti. When I attended the event of Sankranti, by walking on the streets of events, I just have a look on one colorful shop called Lakidra or something. We just need to write our names and check our luck. Likewise, I just write my name and put it there and I left from the event. After few days, I got a call regarding I had received an air-conditioner on an occasion of Sankranti event. I was very happy after listening this because I was from a poor family, always concerned about money and regarding the things like whatever I want to buy, I need suggestions from others. After listening this, I was frequently taught about how air-conditioner works and started searching about the uses and utilities. After coming to the conclusion, I heard about it is very useful in summer because it provides cooling in the houses. Likewise, this was an awesome experience receiving an air-conditioner.

well in this world I don't think anything is available for free or gets any get or anyone gets anything for free but there is only one thing that I have received entirely freely that is the gift of salvation from Jesus Christ about 2,000 years ago he died for me and my sins and to reconcile me with the father so that I wouldn't face the wrath of God's anger and the wages of my sin I wouldn't be punished for my mistakes and shortcomings but I was forgiven and justified righteous in the blood of Jesus Christ and was made holy if I could feel something about it I think I can only feel grateful and be bound to Jesus Christ all my life giving him the respect and reverence he deserves although Christianity is believed as a religion I think it is more than just a religion and I think it is a way of life the only free gift I received is the gift of salvation and finally gone you kindness kindness kindness kindness kindness kindness kind well in this world I don't believe we can receive anything for free without investing emotions money or efforts but the one thing you can get for free or give away for free is kindness kindness doesn't cost anything besides kindness doesn't bring heartless I don't think we can receive anything in this world free of cost besides without investing emotions efforts or money nothing comes to hand however the only thing that someone can give or receive for free is kindness you don't have to be rich to be kind and you don't have to be poor to receive kindness kindness is an act of love and service so being by being kind is B is the biggest gift that you could give anybody I fondly remember being helped by a stranger to get on the metro when I was in Singapore I didn't have a pass to go through the gates I was helped by a stranger and I was taught the procedure and he even paid for my ticket so that is kindness I have received and I really felt good about it and it made my day because on that day without the man's help I wouldn't have gone to my destination and fulfilled my purpose for that day such in such a way kindness can design or change people's lives without even having an impact on yourself by being kind you can you may not get money but you can always get satisfaction is what I believe and I've been trying to practice kindness in my everyday life though sometimes I forget I always try to get back to being kind so that is the one thing you can't receive for free that is being kind and I have received kindness in many ways and I am felt grateful for

An educational offer from a very renowned institution for my bachelors degree was given to me for free, we can also refer it as a scholarship, but I had to pay nothing for the whole four year degree. I would definitely not say it was something I got for free because I have invested a lot of time and it was a gift for my hard work and my grades in my higher secondary. However, the feel of not to give burden to my parents for my bachelors education always gave me a relief.

So, when I was in my 7th grade, I had to travel around 2-3 km everyday walking to my tuition and at that time I had received a surprising gift from my grandma which was a gear bicycle. That moment was very special for me.

Band 6-7

I usually love gift, I usually love the idea of giving gift and receiving gifts so one of the most precious gifts that I got is a bicycle. I got it as a birthday present when I was 10 years old. My grandfather gifted me this and when I got the bicycle I was so happy because I always wanted to have a bicycle so at last finally when I got the bicycle I was so happy. Also my grandfather is a very close person to me so something which I got from him is very close to my heart. I still preserve that bicycle in my go-down so that I can feel the presence of my grandfather in that bicycle who is no more with me. I have very fond memories with that bicycle. I used to wander around on that bicycles with my friends. On those days my each of my day will actually start from these bicycles. When I ride from waking up I will go take the bicycle and go for a round around my neighborhood with my friends. I will feel fresh air while riding the bicycle and I used to buy stuff for my brother such as groceries in the kitchen using the bicycle. So it was so happy I was so happy back then so I still keep this bicycle as a memory of my childhood and for my grandfather because as I said he is no more with me.

So, the gift I received from my maternal uncle was a vintage classic 350 Royal Enfield bike. And that was not just a gift, but a reward for me. He told me if I would pass my exam, then I would definitely get the bike. So when I passed the exam with flying colors, I got this classic vintage bike and I rode it from Delhi to my hometown, Hubli. And I felt very happy because of what I got as a gift. And I was on cloud nine at that time. And also, that was a very precious gift I ever got in my life and definitely I received that for free. And I would go to my college daily on that bike.

Band 6-7

I've been receiving gifts since my childhood. My parents used to gift me various items on different occasions, especially on my birthdays. Once, when I was in 6th standard, on my birthday, my dad came and gifted me a bat. It was not an ordinary bat, yet it was a signed bat from a famous cricketer, Mr. Mahindra Singh Dhoni. I was too fascinated from the gift. As I am currently a sportsperson, I am still having that bat in my kid bag. That gives me immense confidence and pleasure to play cricket with that bat. Though sometimes I feel gifting is not as free as we think of, but we have emotion attached to that and people tend to think what is usually applicable for the person that has that gift. Thank you.

Band 6-7

So something I received for free was a wristwatch which was gifted to me by my brother back in 2019 or 2018 when I was in high school in class 11 or 12. So at that time my brother is like 5 or 6 years older to me so he was, he just started working in a company and with his first salary he actually gifted me that wristwatch. So I treasure it very much and even I treasured it then and I still wear it now to this day because of its significance that he gifted me and other free gifts would be my phone that my mother gifted me on my birthday during COVID and yeah I still use both of my things till date because of the memories it holds and how much I, like whenever I look at the watch and the phone I remember their gift to me and similarly I value it very much.
