Show all 111 answers

Cue 1:What the rule is?

  • Clearly state the rule you dislike, making sure to explain what it entails.
  • Provide context about where this rule is commonly applied.

Example

The rule I dislike is the strict dress code in my college, which requires students to wear formal attire every day. This rule applies to all students and is enforced during classes and college events.

Cue 2:Why you dislike it?

  • Explain your personal feelings about the rule and how it affects you.
  • Mention any specific incidents or experiences that highlight your dislike.

Example

I dislike this rule because it stifles our individuality and self-expression. For instance, I feel uncomfortable wearing formal clothes every day, especially when I prefer casual wear. Once, I had to attend a class in a hot summer, and wearing formal attire made me feel very uneasy and distracted.

Cue 3:What would you change and why?

  • Suggest a more flexible alternative to the current rule.
  • Explain the benefits of your proposed change for students and the college environment.

Example

I would change the rule to allow students to wear smart casual attire instead of formal clothes. This change would make students feel more comfortable and confident, which could enhance their learning experience. It would also promote a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere on campus.

Conclusion

    Example

In conclusion, while rules are important for maintaining order, I believe that some, like the strict dress code in my college, can be re-evaluated. Allowing more freedom in our attire would not only reflect our personalities but also create a more enjoyable learning environment.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

    Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Well, the rule which I dislike the most and I will like to change it in my future is the reserved category for backward classes like SE, BC and many more scheduled classes. Well, this rule was implemented by Congress government in maybe around 2000 and the thing which I dislike the most is that the backward classes, the people who belong from backward classes take the seats with less number because of which the people who belong from general category faces a lot of problems. For instance, if a person, a student of backward category scored 40 out of 100, he will get a seat with a permanent job but because of him or her, the general category student suffers a lot. If a general category student scores 80 out of 100, then also he has to practice a lot in their further opportunities to get the seat. As this law was implemented, it is not beneficial for everyone. It is beneficial only for those who belong from scheduled castes and in future if I got a chance to remove this law, then I will definitely do this because equality is

    Band 6-7

So, I would like to change the concept of exams. Basically, the concept of publicly announcing the results. Like, it's something which demotivates students and is basically making them go depressed and is practically resulting in losing their self-confidence, making them introvert. Students are scared, basically. Exams should be based on their knowledge, not about how much you can, like, summarize. It should be basically upon their understanding, not about how much you can summarize within a day or two.

    Band 6-7

So, the rule I would always dislike is the categories when you apply for a job or college and there where the caste comes up. So, in future if there is a possibility, I would like to change this caste discrimination where there will be no OCBC or SCST scheduled castes and everyone will be treated equally so that every student or a person who works will get an equal opportunity and standard results which will help them to get an equal opportunity to work as well as study.

    Band 6-7

Firstly, the rule I would want to talk about is the rule that is being applied to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by the government. The rule that is there for them is that they have exception in every field they need or every field they get into. For instance, be it education, be it hospitality or be it employment opportunities, they are getting enormous opportunities as exemptions. To be very specific about it, the general categories or the other people, even after having talent, they are not able to secure the seat for education or for employment opportunities. But here, these people, even after failing exams or like say, not having the eligible criteria, but they would get the seat or the opportunities in the name of reservation. I feel the term reservation or the concept of reservation should be completely removed because I would want talent or hard work to be weighed as compared to reservations or any other things like that. Because hard work and talent is what matters and not the reservation thing or not the exemptions provided to them. I wish there would be equal opportunities for everyone and it would not be subjected to their caste or the categories they belong to, rather it would be according to their hard work.

    Band 6-7

The rule that I dislike in the Indian law is for the privileges that are provided to the Scheduled Caste or the Scheduled Tribe students mainly because it impacts the other students who are very well potential but their opportunities are taken away because a person who scores 60% from a lower privileged family is given a higher priority in college admissions when compared to the general merit student who scores 70-80%. So this is unfair and I can change this. There is pretty much nothing that I can do about this because it comes with the law and where people are not encouraging other general merit students rather than only focusing on the lower privileged students.

    Band 6-7

The one thing that the one rule that I would highly dislike is the ban on same-sex marriage. So there's a law behind it which says that the people who are living together and having same-sex are eligible to move in together but not for marriage and this is when I discovered in the case of Navtej Singh Johar, while I was doing law, it was a great moment of proud when the section 377 of Indian Penal Code was decriminalized but again it was a partial victory I would say because of the simple fact that how they are not being given the entire rights of inheritance, adoption and the other rights that all the heterosexual people have the access to. So this is something I highly dislike about the judgment. This judgment was followed in the year 2009 in the case of Nass Foundation which was further followed by Navtej Singh Johar. So all I feel is their article 14 is also violated here. They are not being given their own individuality rights. Rather being given the half of the rights, the country where I live, where I belong to is feeling proud in itself that they are treating them as equals but which is not the case in the longer picture.

    Band 6-7

I am living in the rich laws of the country that is India. India is a democratic country and today I would like to talk about the law that I think would completely change the future of the society and the law is the caste system that is general caste, OBC, C schedule caste and schedule tribes which are prevailing in the Indian constitution and which harms the society in various aspects. For example, in the field of medical education for the very reputed exam like the NEET exam, this criteria that is the categories of which there is a different rank system among all the categories. Although this is my view perspective that because the doctors are the leading future building community of every country in every nation and if such a biasness is there for example, the general category candidate should score about 600 out of 700 then he would will get seat and SC, ST will get about 200 seats that not only harming the quality of care the patients or the community getting in the society but it also hampers the demotivates other peoples. So, it should be purely on the marks basis rather than it caste basis and moreover there are there are certain strategies should be there like equality among all the sections of the society all should get access to the proper education. So, this is the rule that I dislike the most.

    Band 6-7

Rules and regulations play a very crucial part in a person's life and different types of laws are enacted so that law and order can be maintained in a country. Around five to six years ago, a ban on cigarettes was introduced in my country. Earlier people were allowed to smoke rather than the public areas but a few years ago complete ban on cigarettes has been enforced. I think it's a positive step, however, it is not being implemented properly, still people are throwing the cigarette butts here and there causing a lot of waste and pollution on the earth, I mean some people think that they have a right to smoke, it's their own health and I don't care about it, the thing is it affects the non-smokers as well, the smoke they produce is inhaled by the non-smokers and it causes respiratory diseases such as related to asthma and even heart diseases. To change this law, I would say that a special body should be dedicated to this sector who should regulate and give penalties to the people who violate the law. The cigarette butts, you know, they cause a lot of pollution, they are non-biodegradable and often chemical leaching can harm the cycle of the environment.

    Band 6-7

So, here I want to talk about the rule that is currently running in Indian strategy. When a criminal do a crime of harassment or rape, they only have to give some penalty or else they are sent to the jail for specific years. But the most thing I dislike is this type of rules. Because the criminal when they are returning from the jail, they don't have any fear. And this type of rules or penalty or punishment make no any sense. Because they don't have any fear, the criminal or cryptos don't have any awareness or no any fear. So, they always attempt, reattempt whatever they have done. So, I would suggest or I would advise that in future some more legally action or strict action should be taken for this type of crime. I hope for the best in the future.

    Band 6-7

There are many rules that I dislike and I would like to change in the future but today I would like to describe about one of the rules which I found it's very eminent and the rule is men are paid more than women it's a rule which is prevailing in our country and the rule should be changed because men and women are both working nowadays and also most of the women are performing the same task as men do but men are getting more wages compared to women and the reason is it is a rule which is prevailing and so that women could not be paid more than men but nowadays women are more powerful than men and they used to do all works and they used to work in most of the major fields that men do and there should not be a difference men and women should be treated equally then only we can bridge a comparison between men and women if we are not following that rule we can break out the bridge that is a comparison between men and women there should not be a comparison because both of them are performing the same task and giving equal wages will be more beneficial to both men as well as women because they are performing the same task and also it helps to promote more women to work towards as most of the women some of them are not working nowadays if equal employment opportunities and wages are provided to women it will make them more comfortable and also it will motivate them to work towards work and it can be useful in many ways it can help in the employment generation as well as it will contribute to
