Show all 111 answers

Cue 1:What the rule is?

  • Clearly state the rule you dislike, making sure to explain what it entails.
  • Provide context about where this rule is commonly applied.

Example

The rule I dislike is the strict dress code in my college, which requires students to wear formal attire every day. This rule applies to all students and is enforced during classes and college events.

Cue 2:Why you dislike it?

  • Explain your personal feelings about the rule and how it affects you.
  • Mention any specific incidents or experiences that highlight your dislike.

Example

I dislike this rule because it stifles our individuality and self-expression. For instance, I feel uncomfortable wearing formal clothes every day, especially when I prefer casual wear. Once, I had to attend a class in a hot summer, and wearing formal attire made me feel very uneasy and distracted.

Cue 3:What would you change and why?

  • Suggest a more flexible alternative to the current rule.
  • Explain the benefits of your proposed change for students and the college environment.

Example

I would change the rule to allow students to wear smart casual attire instead of formal clothes. This change would make students feel more comfortable and confident, which could enhance their learning experience. It would also promote a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere on campus.

Conclusion

    Example

In conclusion, while rules are important for maintaining order, I believe that some, like the strict dress code in my college, can be re-evaluated. Allowing more freedom in our attire would not only reflect our personalities but also create a more enjoyable learning environment.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Well, the rule that I most dislike is child labour, because the child labour is in some areas, like some urban areas, where the people are still living in 19th and 18th centuries, believing that a child, either a boy or a girl, a child cannot educate or make their own decisions. So, I dislike the rule, because in early days, like in 19th and 18th century, a girl can't study or can't go out of the house, because of various reasons. And I don't think they are valid, because a girl can do anything. It's her choice and it's her life to do anything. And I think those people who are still living in 19th and 18th century, they should understand that there is equality in between female and male. A girl can study and can become anything she wants to be, and she can lead her life without no restrictions and conditions. She can enjoy her life however she wants to. And a boy, like talking to the equality, boys and girls can have both equal equalities, because if a boy can do anything, then a girl can do anything as well. And I think the people who are still living in 19th century, they should overcome that rule, like child labour and all those things, should overcome that and make

Yes, I would like to change a traffic rule. The most disliked thing in traffic is traffic signals, which are often of 60-80 seconds, which is too long. I would like to change the traffic system, which is a traffic violation, and to control it. Here in India, you have no correct system where you can easily get the opportunity to go freely. I would like to change the roads in such a way that there is no traffic. If it is, it should be minimal, and sometimes if it is too hot or in the winter season, the traffic signals should be free, so no one can get the heat. The most disliked thing is, and in future, I would like to make the cars so that there is no distance between the footpath and the road, and you can extend the road and there is no traffic.

The rule actually I dislike the most is the atom limits of national eligibility tests of India. Actually this process is so tiring for the regular students and the students who are aspiring students for the medical perspective of the future, they always suffer for the atom limits. They always hope that they will achieve something great, something big and they losses their years. There are so many gap years between their study and their aspiring goal. So that can be a very big problem for the further studies and for the future. So I think the government should limit the atom limits and this will improve the students students future and get them to a better future, better life and better great future. So I think this rule should be changed for the betterment of the students.

There is this rule in my country that if there is an harassment case involving a woman or anybody, the woman has to go to the police station to file a complaint. And if she is not out of fear or anything like that, if she does not file a complaint, then the case cannot be taken by the police for investigation. And I think this rule is... I am not a particular fan of this rule because if a murder happens, then it is a crime irrespective of the case that is being complained for investigation or not. The police has every right to take up the case on their own. And I think a rape or a woman sexual harassment case has to be like that. That irrespective of they are complaining it or not, they are filing the complaint or not, the case has to be taken and the actions need to be taken by the police themselves, the government for protection. I think that is appropriate.

A rule that I dislike and would like to change in the future is paying penalty fees for breaking traffic rules as in a democratic government, I feel like people should be responsible for their own vehicles and also ride properly and whoever doing that and following all the rules and procedure well, I think they should be rewarded instead of punishing the people who broke the rule and we can also introduce a new system like grading each driver individually and giving them some kind of advantages like coupons or offers to buy any products, this will be innovative and people will more likely to follow rules for those advantages and will also be afraid to break rule when the points are decreased, I think this encourages all the citizens to stand by the traffic rules like wearing helmet gets you 10 points or wearing seat belt gets you 200 points, we can arrange sort of points system, it is beneficial for the future generation to understand why follow

A rule that I dislike is giving leverage to students having some specific caste in college admission is something I would like to change. I do get before when this rule was established by our government was due to the need of the childrens which were not getting admission in colleges due to their lower caste and money issue but nowadays things has changed drastically and due to this rule many students which do not belong to that certain religion or caste suffers a lot for example when I was applying for my graduation the top Delhi university colleges had cut off for general category for 99% where else the other cut off for that specific category was under 70% which is quite not fair in my opinion and has to be changed in future so that every children can get equal opportunity to compete government should really think over this and provide any other alternative solution for now because things are not same as before.

A rule that I dislike is the forcement of the language or to judge a student by its language. I clearly hate that point because brilliant mind doesn't need any language to be mastered. All people have different languages and mother tongue and accent and a personality where they came from and you can't expect a person to speak such a language. Language barriers are for real. Because basically we get to know each other thoughts by language and that language everybody is forcing to speak in English or do all the things in English where there are many brilliant minds that are in other languages but as they are not getting any recognition in their languages and they are not free to speak their languages or to express their language and their language is not well recognized too that makes their talent and their brilliance apart from the society and doesn't give them any chance to grow up. In future I would like to remove this rule as if I become a strong person or if it possible for me I would try to minimize the language barrier for all of the students and will concentrate on the skills of the individual and the brilliance of the individual rather than how he speaks and which language he speaks.

The rules in our India, that's a Dalit scheme, that should be, rules should be changed. Because of, nowadays many can write in government jobs, that's their Dalit modes. Prevents giving SC, SC. What about OEC and OEBC? The SC, SC they got 60% of marks, they given to the seeds, for SC, SC. Others, they did not given 90 also. Must be change that, change that Dalit scheme. And now, they are...

Do you want a lighter? Huh? Smara, do you want a lighter? Not yet. I'll get it in 5 minutes. There are many amendments to be done in our society. One of the major things is the cash system and how politically it is used. There are many people who have no cash. Because the cash system plays a huge role nowadays in education, CCs and also jobs. Many people with a higher caste but lower income are facing issues in getting jobs and seats in colleges. Because most of the CCs are poor. The low caste people, if they are rich or poor, it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is their caste. So even if they are rich with low caste, with low marks, they would get a good job or seat in a good college.
