When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One kind of foreign food I really enjoy is Japanese Sushi. It's a traditional dish from Japan that mainly consists of vinegared rice, raw or cooked seafood and sometimes vegetables, all rolled in swelled seaweed or served in small bite-sized portions. The first time I tried sushi was at a Japanese restaurant in Machite and I was a bit nervous because I had never eaten raw fish before but to my surprise, it tasted fresh, light and very flavorful. Now, I especially enjoy salmon nigiri and tuna rolls. I also love how sushi is usually served with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger which add extra layers of taste. What I like most about sushi is that it's healthy, beautifully presented and doesn't feel too heavy. It's also very different from the food I usually eat which makes it feel special and exciting. Whenever I want to try something refreshing and different, sushi is my go-to foreign food. Thank you!

I love tasting new food and in doing so I discovered an amazing dish, Sushi, here in from the country of Japan. I knew the moment this dish touched my tongue that I would never be able to stop myself from engaging in this delicacy in the future. Sushi is made of rice that is rolled with raw fish and some vegetables or fruits like avocado in the middle, which is a more modern approach I would say, and this is enjoyed with a sauce known as Wasabi, which is a very spicy sauce made from the roots of a certain plant, of the Wasabi plant as far as I can recollect. Sushi is very bland I would say, but has this amazing delicious umami flavor that just bounces off your tongue and goes right to your heart. This dish has surprised me. I tried it the first time at a Sushi corner in Bangalore and since then I've never been able to get myself to stop eating Sushi whenever I had the opportunity. A lot of people hate Sushi because it's raw fish, which is understandable. I'm not a big fan of seafood either, but something about the meat in that delicacy gets me uncontrollably drooling for more. So if there's one food that I would eat for the rest of my life, it would be Sushi.

Now I have diehard cravings for a good slice of Neapolitan pizza, especially one from the streets of Rome. Roman pizzas just taste so good to me that I just go in a state of bliss when I have even a single bite of those pizzas. I tried them in the valleys of Zermatt in Switzerland, surprisingly in Switzerland and not in Italy. But I would also love to have it on bustling cities of Rome or Milan. The ingredients which caught my eye out of all of them were mainly the semolina flour used in making the dough because usually pizzas are made with refined wheat flour which is not very good for health. While semolina flour, let's just say it's gluten free and does not disrupt your digestive system, I enjoyed it taste a lot. I just felt like living there and having a slice of pizza every single day for the rest of my life. The taste of these sauces was just so mind-blowing and fantabulous that it has stayed on my tongue for so long. I liked it specifically because I am in love with Italian food or just love it.

Being an Indian, a foreign dish that I really enjoyed having and which I think was really delicious is tacos. So the first time I tried tacos was at a fast food restaurant called Chipotle in Ohio in the US. So tacos are my favorite foreign dish as they are spicy and tangy and full of flavors. They consist of a variety of ingredients like brown beans, black beans, rice, various types of sauces and sautéed and thinly sliced veggies along with the rich avocado. So all this together forms a really protein rich, spicy and fulfilling meal. I had this dish when I was pretty young. I was about 8 years old when I tried tacos for the first time in my life. We had stopped in a rest stop when we were traveling to a different city and that's where we came across Chipotle.

Actually, one kind of foreign food I really enjoy is sushi, a popular Japanese dish. I first tried it at a Japanese restaurant in my city, which serves a variety of ethnic dishes. Sushi is made with vinegared rice and often includes raw or cooked seafood, vegetables and seaweed. What I enjoyed most was the freshness of the ingredients and the unique combinations of flavors, especially the soft texture of the fish, the slight sweetness of the rice and the saltiness of the soy sauce. I also like dipping in a wasabi for a bit of spice. I like sushi because it's healthy, light and different from the usual food I eat. It also introduced me to a new culture and made me curious to try more international cuisines.

I am from India and we have not had Sushi culturally or in aspect of our traditions we have not had Sushi while growing up. I did know about the dish Sushi while growing up as we had studied it in textbooks but in the textbooks it was described as a food which had raw fish or meat in it and that kind of surprised me as I could never imagine or think of eating fish or meat raw. And I had Sushi for the first time when I was 25 years old while I moved to Delhi. So first time I had Sushi it was veg Sushi and I absolutely loved it. I had it at a friend's place and I really loved it that I asked my husband let's go explore Sushi this weekend and we had veg Sushi again and again it was mind-blowing. Later when we explored another cafe in Delhi I told my husband let's try non-veg Sushi and we tried salmon Sushi and it was again something that took me by surprise I never knew I could like it so much and ever since then Sushi has been one of my favorite foreign foods. Now I'm even trying to explore the idea of making Sushi at home by myself. I'm slowly collecting all the ingredients and exploring the different techniques that can be used to make Sushi at home.

One foreign food that I really enjoyed was sushi, which is a traditional Japanese dish. I had it for the first time at a Japanese restaurant in Bangalore with a few of my friends. It was part of a buffet and I was a bit hesitant at first because it was raw fish, which I never tried before. Sushi is typically made of wind-grade rice, raw or cooked seafood like salmon or tuna and sometimes vegetables like cucumber or avocado. It is usually served with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger. To my surprise, it was actually delicious. I loved the combination of flavors, the freshness of the fish and the slight sweetness of the rice and the salty soy sauce made it really unique. It was a totally new texture and taste for me. What I liked most was the part that it gave me a chance to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. It also felt quite healthy compared to most fast food. Since then, I have had sushi a few more times and every time I eat, it reminds me of the fun evening with friends and how we all discovered something new together. So overall, sushi has become one of my favorite foreign dishes, not just because of the taste but also because of the experience and memories attached to it.

One foreign food that I really like is sushi, which is a traditional Japanese dish. I had it for the first time at a Japanese restaurant in Hyderabad about 2 years ago. I was a bit unsure at first because I had never tried raw fish before, but I wanted to try something new. Sushi usually consists of a vinaigrette rice combined with raw or cooked as seafood, vegetables and sometimes tropical fruits. There are many types of sushi, but I particularly enjoyed the California rolls. I like sushi because it's very light yet filling, and it feels healthy. It's also beautifully presented, almost like art on a plate. Eating sushi was a new experience for me, and it opened my mind to trying other international foods. Now, whenever I find a good Japanese restaurant, I always check if they serve sushi.

If I'm being honest, I would like to say that pasta and pizza are my favorite foreign food. Like, basically, Italian cuisine is my favorite delicacy when it comes to choosing something at a restaurant or at cafes. I like pizzas and pastas because of the sauces. First of all, the sauces that are used in preparing them. Secondly, I love the flavor of garlic. And I guess that garlic is used in perfect amount in those two dishes. Also, I don't know why, but I feel this connection with Italy in my soul. I know I might be sounding a little bit delusional right now, but I do. I really love Italy. I love its food, its people, its culture, everything. My first time trying pizza was when I was 8. I tried it at a restaurant in Goa. And still, that is one of the best experiences I had in food. I loved the taste. I loved the texture. I loved everything about that dish. And I also love to make pastas at home because making pizza at home is a bit difficult job. But I still make it when I want to. My most favorite kinds of pastas are red sauce and white sauce, of course. And I also love Alfredo pasta. It's a bit hard to make, so I prefer to eat it at a restaurant and not make it at home.

A food that I've recently had the pleasure of tasting has been sushi. I had it with my friends at my cousin's birthday party and it was rice filled with raw salmon which I originally thought would be disgusting but it actually surprised me with how flavorful the dish was. I found the rice to be quite crispy instead of the plump, full and mushy texture that I was expecting from what I've read about it. The salmon was actually the most surprising because of how flavorful it was despite it being raw. I believe that this is because of the extensive seasoning that the chef had coated the salmon with and it really brought out all of my senses when I was tasting this dish for the first time. The feature I liked most about the way the salmon was made was actually its presentation. It was covered in seaweed except it was perfectly wrapped and not a single grain of rice fell out of the wrap which was quite intriguing to me as a mathematics major and I found myself marveling at the intricacy of how it was displayed in front of me. All of my friends had tried salmon before so they tried encouraging me to taste more although I needed no encouragement because I was already drawn by the dish. I find that experience to be quite nostalgic now that I've had salmon more than just a few times and I would definitely try it again if it was on the menu and I was looking for a fun time.
