When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

    Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

My childhood friend's name is Kartik Sadatya. He was my friend since I think the nursery grade which is the first grade I know, which is the first grade we start off from the kindergarten. I met him at my school. He was the first person to ever speak to me. We sat together for around five to six years in the same class. We were buddies and we used to share our lunch. We used to play games together in the ground. We have many incidents and accidents that we had together. I remember when I was like in seventh grade, I used to go to his house and we used to spend the day together studying, playing games and all sorts of stuff. I used to go cycling with him when I was in eighth grade. And now in the recent years, although education may have set us apart, he had different interests, but we still remain in contact. Our contact is unbroken. Furthermore, adding to this, Kartik is a very wonderful person. He has brought a lot of value in my life and he brings the joy that no other person could. So I would say he's a very close friend of mine. I share a particularly everything with him. He is a person whom you can trust and he's a person who's very good at analyzing other people's sadness. He usually helps me do stuff I cannot understand. Like for an example, we can take in 10th grade when I was poor at math and I wasn't able to study math so well. He used to help me. He tutored me for two months so that I could have studied well and perform better in my exams. For his sake and for him and only him, I could perform well and I scored an A1 in mathematics. So I thank him for that. Particularly these days, he is running his father's business and I'm planning for master's abroad. And I just would say he's a very good friend and he's a very nice person overall.

My childhood friend was Erum. When I met her, I thought like she is a very innocent type of girl. But when we met in the college for the first time, there she was sitting in the cafeteria and we were also having our breakfast. So that was the first time we had a word and we connected instantly. So my opinion was like she was a girl who is very innocent. But when we started talking, I got to know that she is really same like me. We both shared the same kind of emotions, our same kind of feelings and thoughts. In our day to day life, we started meeting and we had a great bond. So we became friends when we started talking to each other. We got to know more about each other. We spent a lot of time in the cafeterias, in the classrooms. We used to do combined studies for the exams. So by spending time, I think we got to know each other and that was the time where we bonded really well. We shared everything. Now that we have been friends for 10 years, we live in different cities. She is married. I am married. She is in US. I am in India. But we find time for ourselves to catch up and get an update about our daily routines. We give good news whenever we have a good time. We call and tell them whatever we are going through.

Back then in 2012, an African American student entered in our school and luckily he was in my same class. He was tall and skinny at that time, used to wear glasses and his hair was black. Moreover, when he was new, people differentiate between Indians and him. Most of the kids don't talk with him, so I started going towards him and started talking to him. However, due to language barrier, we had a few problem but after he learnt English, his vocabulary and fluency become easier. We spend time together in a play and become friends more close. However, in 2019, due to his father's transfer, he had to left the country again and now we are just connected through WhatsApp and other social media applications such as Facebook.

One of my childhood friend is Prakash. I met him in the class 6th standard. When I was studying in 6th standard I have met him. He came and sat beside me on the bench. On the first lecture of the class we have started asking each other about our names and locality. As the day passes we became best friends in our school life. I now also have a special bond with him as compared to my childhood friends. A lot of friends come and go but childhood friends remain so closer to us. In that sense, Prakash is one of my childhood friends.

This particular friend Nitin, who met me in the cricket ground near my house, is a special friend to mention. He is the first person who introduced me to the game cricket and the legend players in cricket. In my younger age, Sachin was merely started his career and this guy told me, this little player, young player will be the future star of the game. I heard a lot of detailed explanation about the game from this guy, Nitin. He teach me how to play the game. In later years, I mastered some techniques playing cricket. But everything was introduced by Nitin. Later, his parents transferred their job to some other place and he shifted. Now we keep on contacting each other through social medias. Later in my life, I have many friends in my school, college and even in my work place.

So I don't like this person. This person for me I don't have any friends that I'm in a relationship with. I mean, we can be friends if we're not in a relationship. But I have a friend who is watching me in France. I have an ex-girlfriend from my district. We used to travel on the same bus, but now we don't. She's just been following me around, so I'm trying to find a person. I'm trying to find a friend, but I can't find anybody. Firstly, I don't have any best friends because I'm an introvert from childhood and making friends has been always difficult for me. And I just have only one best friend. Her name is Kaisri. I met her in BTEC. While doing my bachelor's, I and Kaisri used to travel on the same bus. And that's how we became best friends. Mostly, she is an extrovert, generous person, and simple person. So that's why I just got connected more to her because she's not just been only that one person who's been there with me no matter what I did, but also she's been there with me in all my tough times. She's like an angel. She never judged me. I never saw a person like that because she don't have any ego. Every person that I met in my bachelor's journey used to piss off me to an extreme level and always used to blame me for what they did. But Kaisri is only the one person that just made me feel worthy to believe in friendship. She just made me feel that not all female friendships are toxic. She is a very important part of my life. We used to, yeah, we fight very often. It's not even rare. We fight very often. We sort it out. Mostly, she would be the person who is approaching me at first. That's why I melt because not just she's approaching me first, but she don't have any ego. She gives priority to the friendship rather than anything else. That's why I got to know and I realized that having a group of friends is not a big matter. Having a one friend with pure heart is really a big thing and I'm lucky at that.

Childhood friends? I got many. We were so many kids around the same age in my village. We got a small village, so you can basically call it a neighborhood. We used to play. We didn't even know the meaning of friendship at that time, since we have been friends. And after growing up, we all fell apart. We went to some other places for jobs. We got married. And I am also in a city, far from my village, not being able to call names. We just can't gather together anymore. So you can say that after growing up, I don't have too many friends. I basically don't have friends. I got a classmate, I got a classmate, but no friends. Oh, pretty sad word. In childhood, I used to have a lot of friends. The memories of that time are still evident in my mind, and I miss them. I miss that time. It was wonderful. I hope I can go back to my childhood and enjoy it once again. Everyone thinks this way, I know, but it's impossible.
