When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, childhood friends, so I would like to talk about the same friend who was my first childhood friend. She was, the main thing that I liked about her was she was very intelligent even though she was a small child, she was good in lot of things whether it was singing or handcrafts or schoolwork, she always did her homework also. The mother was a teacher, so she was well behaved as well and whenever I, for example when I was sick or couldn't come to school, she would always help me, later on when I went back to school she would always share her notes with me and we would get together after school to play, so we always had a nice time and there were a group of other children as well but she was, both of us were very close to each other, so those were the very early memories that I have of this particular friend. So when it comes to ranks at school, like in the class she was, I remember she was always number one and I was always number two when it comes to her, so these are all the qualities that I liked about my very first childhood friend.

    Band 6-7

I have lots of friends, but today I would like to share one of my best friends. She is my childhood friend. Her name is Ishita. I met her when I was going to take admission in my primary school. My childhood friend was Haripriya, when I went to join for a hostel in my 10th grade, I met her first. She was calm and a quiet girl. She didn't speak to me first. I have started chit-chat with her. Later on, she smiled and started talking to me. Then I said, let's be friends. She said, okay. After that, I asked her hobbies. One after another, one after another, I have started conversing with her. At the end, she said about her family and how she came there and why did she come and what she wants to become. Everything she has shared with me after one hour. Later on, we slowly went to the ground to play. As soon as we became friends, later on we discussed everything like about previous friends

Childhood friends. I have a lot of childhood friends. All are in my neighborhood. So everyone mingled very friendly. So we are going to our school. We are going to school every day. So we communicate every day and we are playing every day after my schooling. So we will connect every time. So after growing up also we are connecting very well. Furthermore, we have a lot of connections like our family members also. So we continue this friendship after our growing also. So it's the most important factor in my life because it will give my communication very easy.

    Band 6-7

So basically, I would like to tell you about my childhood friend. My childhood friend is from my school. We completed almost 20-23 years together. First, we met in a school. No, she is not a neighborhood. Her full name is Sanjana Varma. She is my very good friend from school and very good childhood friend. We are still together. We didn't meet regularly because of life, work, college, etc. She is busy in her MBA and job. I am busy in my MBA and job. But yes, we often talk. We talk so much regularly in events, occasionally, birthdays. And we are in a very good bond. And we have actually a family relation. Our family gatherings and family functions, we call each other. Our family, like her mom, my mom, is a good friend. Most families are very compatible with each other. And we shared a lot of things together. Like, I have basically faced many difficulties in my life because of some personal reasons, house issues. And she is the one who knows about it in detail. Like, she is the one who supported me. She is the one who was there for me on that time. And that was an amazing opportunity I have to have that beautiful family.

    Band 6-7

My friend's name is Arya and we met in school, so he invited me for his birthday party and that's how we became friends. So we have been friends, I think, since our kindergarten days. He also actually lives nearby to my house. He only lives like 2 kms away from my house, so we often would meet up. I still am in touch with him, I remember doing a lot of things with him. If it's weekdays, I always go to his house and stay there, spend time with his family. He also has a farmhouse nearby, so we also go there and have fun. We had a very close bond, I still remember days back, we used to go to movies together, play video games all night. If it is Friday, I just used to go to his house and have fun and he also used to come to my house and both of us used to do Legos together, play cards together, play video games together and that's how our life was, until in 7th grade, he moved to a different place. After he moved to a different place, we still had contact, but since none of us had a phone back then, we weren't very close, but after each of us got our own phones, we kept in touch. So I, I think during my 9th grade, went to meet him, that was the first time I travelled abroad just to meet him. I stayed there with him for one week, had fun and then came back, so that's how my life is. He also, when he comes to Madurai, since it's his hometown, he'd come here, so when he comes here, we still meet and have fun.

    Band 6-7

I have lots of friends, but now today I would like to share one of my childhood friends. Her name is Shikta. So when I was in school, the first time I saw her, she had a helpful nature, kind-hearted person. She always tried to help the person. So when I was worried about my homework because I didn't complete it, she shared me a copy of hers so I could share mine. So that time I shared it with my mom and she didn't scold us. So the first time I was impressed by her nature. And then after that we got to know each other and we shared our opinions. I was impressed and tried to make friends. I asked for friendships and she said, okay, we can be friends. So that's how our journey started. We played together and did lots of activities together. Afterwards, now we are younger, then we also went to college together. And then after that, now since I'm married, I'm working. So we don't have more time as compared to before. But now we try to meet on the weekends and festive time. So we can share our opinions and feel about our bonding. It's a strong bond between us. We can share openly with each other. And whenever I face any kind of problem, so that time she tries to help me and facilitate whenever I need her assistance. So mostly we prefer to watch a movie like a horror, suspense and comedy type. Because after watching the movie, then we can share our normal things. And also talk together, hang out.

    Band 6-7

So in childhood, I didn't have so many friends, but as far as I remember, there was one friend, which is now also my friend. I would like to say that she is my close friend and one of the person I admire the most. She is very nice person, she has set her limits and with everyone she talks so nicely. She is not rude, she is so elegant, she behaves so nicely, she is very intelligent and what not. Whenever I am around her, I learn a lot of new things. I learn how to communicate basically or how to converse with people, how to have soft communication skills and apart from all this, she is like my closest friend or confidant with her. I share about my everything, like from my family, what is happening in my family to what I am thinking about anything, about any crisis or all the things going on in the world. We both are people who have had a lot of interest in what's going on surrounding, what's in diplomatic relations with different countries, what is politically going on, how different countries are fighting or something like that. So we talk on different topics and like that, how time goes on, we both don't know. We spend a lot of time together but still it's not enough for both of us because everyday we meet and talk about a lot of things.

I remember it was my first day in school when I forgot my lunch box and we shared it together. At that moment we became friends. I opened to her and slowly we started sharing things with each other. For example, the food items, the stationary material, etc. We started playing together, eating together and walking from school to home together. She is also my neighbor. We spend a lot of time in school bus too. We go to school while talking and also come back together. In this way, she became one of my best friends.
