The activity I planned was a community picnic for my neighborhood. We wanted to bring everyone together to enjoy a day of fun, food, and games, especially since we hadn’t had a gathering in a long time.

Cue 2:Why you took part in it?

  • Explain your motivation for organizing or participating in the activity.
  • Mention any personal connections or experiences that influenced your decision.

Example

I took part in organizing the picnic because I believe in fostering community spirit. One challenge was coordinating the food, but we managed by assigning specific dishes to families, ensuring a good variety.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Well, I'm a person who likes to do activity with a lot of people. Besides, it helps me to know about other people and also get a type of motivation from the work they do. So a few years ago, like three years ago, at the time of COVID, me and my cousins decided to build a tree house near my home and it was, we planned to do it in front of my home because the view from that place is serene with a lot of paddy fields and coconut trees in front of it. And it actually needed so much effort because we needed to build it big and as a result, the foundation should be strong, otherwise it will collapse. So we planned to execute it and one of the main tasks in front of us was sourcing the raw materials. Thus, we planned what all raw materials we needed and the main thing was bamboo. And cutting the bamboo needed high effort and it was a dangerous process too because when cutting bamboo, it may cause injuries which will be bad. So we cut down five or six bamboos for the foundation and got us minor injuries too. I had bruises in my leg and hand and we started building the tree house. After two days, it was completed. At that time, I got a feeling of really an achievement done because it was like a success because we took three days.

My friend's son, a toddler, about three years of age, was going to have a birthday party. Just that evening, she had arranged for a clown for the birthday party. And eventually she realized that the clown dropped out. She was quite panic stricken and I thought that I should be helping. So I collected a few of my friends and we decided to make this activity quite interesting for the children. We gathered together before evening and we introduced some fun games and also some quizzes and puzzles for the kids. By evening, we were prepared as a team. I chose to do this activity for her because she happens to be my best friend. Also, she seemed to be in crisis and I really wanted to go ahead and help her. Eventually, the little toddlers in the party truly enjoyed it and I feel that it was quite a successful event.

To be totally upfront, I have done a lot of activities in my past, while today I would like to talk about a time when I made a plan to do an activity with a lot of people. I really remember in the second year of my college, my class teacher gave us the project about app making. So in that project, it was required to have a group of 10 people. So I decided to involve my friends in that activity. It was very important project because the internal marks was decided by this project. So I involved my friends and we divided all the parts of the project to each people. So this is how I organized this activity. Then we completed the project and with the help of certain YouTube videos, we completed the project, then submitted it. After submitting the project, our teacher appreciated our work. So I was very proud at that moment. Additionally, my teacher gave us a prize for a project and in that project, we got a first place. It was like a cherry on the cake for me and we felt over the moon at that time. So I was very proud at that time that I decided to make a plan to do an activity with a lot of people. Overall, it was a great moment for me and all the people appreciated me for my work.

Planning to perform an activity is somewhat so essential because planning only provides perfection for different activities or functions. I remember the day on my college days while I am studying the Masters of Social Work. As a part of our curriculum, we need to perform a rural camp in any rural society. For that, we chose the Attappadi, which was situated in the Palakkad district of Kerala. It's a clear-cut rural area which was known for the large number of infant mortality rate during the time of 2000s and along with the usage of alcohols and drugs in the common people. To overcome such type of issues and provide awareness, we plan to create a flash mob for the people. For that, we chose different methods for that. Along with me, my friends were also there. We together correlated each other. For us, the financial background, we collected money from different small business persons to inform them regarding the initiatives and the need of the performance. And with the help of our friends, we organized, we ourselves created the script. Moreover, we ourselves developed the costumes, the casting and everything. And we moved to that place and performed that action in an effective manner. The message really came to the mind of the common people. They really appreciated through the activities. And through that activities, they get great appreciation from the local public and the political. So, this was one of the memorable planned actions which I performed with my friends.

Today I would like to talk about an activity that I performed with several people, which is river rafting. I have recently went to Manali with my family on summer vacations. It is a hill station located in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, nested in the lap of the majestic Himalayas. I visited Manali with my family and tried a lot of adventurous activities, but today I would like to talk about the one which is river rafting. I was so much scared by trying it as I am an adventurous person, but scared of the amount of risk it has to perform that activity. We went to a camp on the right hand of the road, which was on the right of the road. They gave us multiple instructions, they made us charge a hefty amount and made a sign waiver form which contains all the policy and terms and conditions.

Okay, so one time I made a plan with a lot of people I did not know to go on a trip or say a vacation to Rajasthan. Now that time when I agreed to go on a trip with 50 to 60 strange people, I was very busy and I wanted an escape from everyday hectic schedule that I was following with my classes and my work and some exams that I wrote few days back. So I agreed to go, so I agreed to travel to Rajasthan with total strangers and it was a fun activity, I mean since Rajasthan is very far away at a great distance from my from my hometown, it was a long trip, so it was lots and lots of singing and dancing and playing games in the bus that we were travelling in and I got to know lots of people on the trip and it was just an amazing time of all the responsibilities I had, I learnt many things, I had a great experience and on top of that it is a memory that I will cherish forever.

We have organized a trip to France, covering all the villages, especially from eastern France to western France. Here I have taken the people of all age groups who were interested in exploring the nature, especially. Basically, my focus was for the people who are actually occupied in their day-to-day lives, who don't have time to plan these activities for themselves. Cities are something which everyone explores, but then the countryside is something which no one appreciates. I organized this for an intention that people can understand and appreciate the mesmerizing beauty around this country in the given set of time. I participated because I actually wanted them all to understand that it's just not about the work that we are doing. It's about also exploring the nature, and my job was to be a guide. For this organization, I have used the technology, especially ChatGPT, which was a game-changer, actually. I have just put my itinerary, the number of days. It has so systematically planned my trip with the number of people, customized in a well-organized way. I really appreciate it. I'm really happy.
