When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

My favorite sport is badminton. I have been playing badminton for a long time. Maybe since the age of 9 or 10 I started playing badminton. Nowadays because I am in college I usually play badminton when I come back home. After coming back home after a long day of work it is a really good exercise to finish off the day with. During the weekends I play in the morning maybe around 8am to 9am. I play with my apartment friends and maybe a few people who are working. They play really well so playing with them improves my skills in the game as well. What I like about badminton is not only the physical aspect of it but also the strategic part of playing the game. So the placement of the shuttle around the court is also very important as well as the physical aspect of playing the game. So that is what I like about the sport so much. It is special to me because I have grown up playing this sport so I have been improving every year, every game I play. It is a lot of fun to play with your friends even though you are playing singles and doubles. The synergy between you and your friends when you play doubles is amazing and it builds over time. The first game when you play doubles is not that great but as you keep on playing with them the synergy increases. You know how they are going to play and what shots they are going to play. It is more easy to predict and there is a synergy that forms. So that is what I like about the sport.

The sport I like to play the most is basketball. I really like this sport because it enhances your physical ability and it's a very interesting sport. I really enjoy it and I have been playing this sport since I was a kid. The first time I picked up the ball to play basketball was when I was in 6th grade and it was the first time I took the ball and dribbled it and went towards the net and shot the shot. In that moment I realised that I am good at it. I tried playing it with my friends. I made mistakes along the journey but I enjoyed the process. It was a very great sport. I went to many different levels of competition when I was playing this sport. I got this interest from my school days and when I was awarded my state level trophy I was very happy about it. Football makes you feel energised and it enhances your physical abilities, your movements and it helps you to gain your physical and mental strength as well. It's a really great sport. What inspired me to play basketball is by playing with my friends and also watching the sport. My favourite player was Kobe Bryant, rest in peace, who is now expired. I hope to perform well as well but right now I am not playing this sport due to studies but I would really be glad if I go back to that sport to play it again. I would appreciate each and everyone taking part in a sport event.

A sport that I really like to play is football. The reason I like football is that the game captivates both your mind and your body wherein you not only have to have certain skills to excel in the sport but also the mind to come up with strategies to defeat your opponent team. I used to play football when I was a child in high school with me and my friends going to coaching centres where we had mock games with nearby schools and it was during this time that I found that I took a liking to the sport. I think it was mostly because it was playing with my friends but also it was because my coach was very encouraging and he was very supportive. He did not shout at us or was angry with us during our playtime instead he took up he took on a stance where he supported us and also told us how we could improve in the sport. My friends and I which we were three in number we normally go back to our apartment and we find children or other senior members of below the age of 18 to have a game with us to play a game with us and football was particularly inspiring was because it was during these play sessions that I've met new people and found a new friend group which I still hold dearly to my heart. Although I do not play the sport anymore looking back it was a good experience and a fond memory of childhood. I would like to take up the sport again although this would take a while because I'm graduating next year.

The sport that I really want to say is badminton. Firstly, this sport isn't just a sport, but a special part of me. Because even though in our country there are several sports, but this is the most special sport that is very close to my heart. It was just a random day that me and my father were watching TV and he suddenly switched the news channel to some sports channel. On that day I saw PV Sindhu, a badminton player representing India in National Olympics. As she was playing very concentratedly and with very hard working, I really started enjoying watching that. It gave me an immense pleasure to watch and I even prayed for her to win and she won several medals. And I also started to think why can't I learn this sport because of interest. Then I started learning gradually. Even though I am not a pro skilled up to now, but I really enjoy playing that sport and even watching that sport. There are many other players, but PV Sindhu is one of the main players who got me inspired to like one of the sports. She always plays one on one match and the way she plays and the speed she has is incredibly talented. She even got prized for many winning champions. I really wish I could also play badminton in future.

The sport I adore is cricket. I like Indian cricket team too much. It gives immense pleasure to watch those players on the ground serving our nation and providing happiness to each and everyone who is watching that play. I see there are many players who are so powerful in the game, who has the ability to knock out to some other player from another team, another country. Cricket is a sport which gives me motivation and life.

    Band 6-7

The sport that I really like is cricket. While I do not have a favourite sport to play, I really enjoy watching a game of cricket. A specific reason I can think of as to why I enjoy it is the constant ups and downs that are involved in the game. There is never an end to the enjoyment that comes from watching this sport. I have a very deep attachment to cricket as an Indian, since this sport is an emotion to all those who are from my country. A lot of my core memories revolve around my family gathering to watch my country's team play against a rival team in a final match or in any other game of this sport. Cricket is also an easy way to connect with people, make more friends and build a second family. The number of friends I made through cricket during college really comes to mind.

    Band 6-7

Since my childhood, I was very fond of playing as well as watching cricket, as cricket is one of my favourite sports. When I was a child, not too young and not too old, I watched once Virat playing in the stadium. We were there for holidays. It was in Chinnaswamy Stadium that a match was going on and Virat Kohli was playing and he just made a century in 50 balls. That was really too inspiring and motivating for me that a player with his entire dedication and motivation is able to do so. Everyone, the crowd gathered in the stadium started rooting for his name and I really saw the charm and excitement on his face too. So, it was for the first time when I really saw a cricketer taking all the blessings and the motivation from the crowd that was there to support him. I really like the things that I adore about cricket is that it involves physical fitness. A player will be only able to play the sport if he or she will be physically fit. Along with that, it also offers one to learn teamwork, dedication and many more qualities will be enforced via this game. During my school days, my best friend often used to play cricket. He was one of the players in our school's cricket team and he usually went to the sports tournaments where the team played. I used to watch him playing in the ground and having good scores as well as winning the trophy for the school. So, it was the moment that turned my interest towards cricket.

Although, I'm not that interested to play Hockey in my college because I don't have my old team with me, I will try to gather more people and tell them about the importance of Hockey and try to make a team, so in spite of all the difficulties, we can play as a team against other colleges. I will do my best to lead the team and be like the captain I was before, and I promise to play with the same sportiveness and spirit.
