When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

During my summer holidays in my childhood, I used to play frequently, like every day, in the morning and in the evening. Since childhood, cricket is like a festival for me, like many others in India. IPL is like a big celebration. It brought joy to many people like me. Additionally, the international matches, especially the T20 format is very interesting, which made me get attracted to the game, which grew my love even more. There are other formats such as T20 and TES in the cricket, which are also equally interesting. The 2011 World Cup, where India won the World Cup, is a turning point of my cricketing career.

I would like to say that my favorite sport to watch is Formula One race. It usually happens on the weekend. The first the first day starts on Friday, the practice sessions and on the next day qualifying sessions happened and the driver's rankings will be published. Finally on the Sunday the actual race happens. The primary reason I watch this sport because I like the technicality of the sport as being a mechanical engineer I was very much involved in the niche aspects of the designs particularly the aerodynamics of the car body and also not to mention the drama which comes with this high intense sport. One of the main reason which got me into the sport is my friends. We bonded by watching Formula One every weekend. We shared our opinions about different decisions made by the teams and how it could be done.

Football isn't just a sport to me, it's been a part of my life. It's been that way since I was 10 years old and I cannot imagine my life without it. While I play football very infrequently nowadays, I used to play regularly when I was a kid and I would go for competitions. I started training less as I grew older to focus on my academics, but football has always stayed with me and I played in college. What I love about football is the dynamic gameplay and the opportunity to interact with other people. This makes the game far more exciting and unpredictable because you never know what they're going to do and you have to keep strategizing to win. Other than this, football also is a statement of fitness. You need to be very fit to play. It is a game of athleticism, a game of strategy and a game of teamwork. That's what makes it so exciting to me.

Hi, I'm Shivangi and the sport I like is swimming. Swimming is an underwater sport and it requires the use of all limbs of ours. It is a very important sport when it comes to an overall ergonomics of all the body muscles. I like it because after I come out from having a great swim, I feel very energized, I feel very light. And swimming has taught me a lot in the way that it brings out the trust I have in myself. If you do not trust the fact that you will be safe in water with your own skills, with your own breath, with your own lips, it might prove quite difficult at first. When it comes to swimming, I loved it. I started it when I was in my last year of college because I thought I needed a way to get exercise in. And boy, I tell you that was such a life-changing moment because swimming for me has been so important in the way of achieving freedom, achieving a new skill, overgrowing my fears when it comes to water. My worst fear is to be in a lake and not be able to swim out of it. And I honestly think that swimming as a sport is so interesting because the main point is not how much air you have in your lungs. It is how less air you have in your lungs and how far you can go away with it. The more the air you have, the more chance that you float above. The lesser air you have, the more chance that you swim for far. So the trick is less air, frequency is increased. That is why swimming is so fun.

I have always been a very athletic child ever since I was introduced into sports. I have been in swim team in my school and won a lot of medals for the same. And I was also in Coco team, which I was a captain of for two consecutive years. And I really enjoy skating because that is a sport I have taught myself. When I was five or six years old is when I started skating and ever since that, that really stuck with me until now. And I really enjoy it now as well as will enjoy it in the future. I got into skating in a very unexpected way. My parents got a pair of skates for my brother, but he did not really enjoy skating because he did not know how to, which makes sense as a kid. But because I used to have evening offs from my school, I used to come back home early and my parents used to be at work and my brother used to still be at school. So when my grandma was taking care of me, I used to wear a skates and kind of scoot around and play with it and I just taught myself skates in no time. And ever since that, it has really been my favorite sport. But I failed to participate in any competition because I did not know I could participate in competition when it comes to skating, nor did I get a chance. So if I had to choose a sport that I really like, then it would be skating for sure.

So I am a big tennis fan. I used to play tennis until a few years ago and it has been an amazing experience to learn a racket sport like tennis. There is a huge audience across the globe who love to watch the sport and specifically those main players who bring suspense to the table while playing matches against each other. It's an amazing experience and while I started my journey in 2022, I had gone to Navarang Tennis Academy here in Navarangpura in Ahmedabad and there I met a group of people who are very like-minded. They love playing tennis, they encourage you to improve day by day and that is when I got a real grasp of how the sport is being played. We used to play singles, we used to play doubles, we used to play in groups, I mean we used to take turns. So if you miss a ball, if you hit it wrong, you just have to come out of the queue and somebody else would take over and that is how we used to practice in groups. Our coach used to feed us with the balls initially. We used to learn forehand, backhand, lob, smashes and a lot of other things which I have got on off track now, which I do not remember. I still have a racket which my friend had lent me during that time because I did not have money to buy a new racket of good quality. So he had lent me one and I have still not given it back even though I do not play. It has been an year that I have stopped playing tennis and I have still not given it back to him and I have told him that there could be a moment where I feel like I want to start back. It has been long enough that I have not played tennis and I want to just start back.

A sport that I really enjoy is badminton. It's quite popular in my country and I started playing it when I was in school. Even now, I often play it with my friends in the evenings at a nearby indoor court. If I do not have time to play, I at least watch important matches on television, especially international tournaments like the All England Champion or the Olympics. What I like most about badminton is that it is fast-paced and energetic. Unlike some other sports, you do not need a large ground or lot of equipment, just a racket, shuttlecock and a net. The rallies are exciting and the game requires not only physical fitness but also quick reflexes and strategic thinking. Playing it regularly helps me stay active, improve my stamina, reduce stress after a long day. Badminton is special to me because it is connected with many good memories. For example, I used to play it with my father during my childhood and that time together brought us closer. Later in college, it became a way for me to make friends. Even now, when I play, I feel both nostalgic and refreshed.
