When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I think this is a cliche response from every Indian boy. Every Indian boy likes cricket and I am no exception to this. I love playing cricket. I'm not very good at that sport because I've never been the athletic type. I've always been more into academics but I love watching cricket especially. My father is also very involved in cricket so he has actually booked the tickets for us to go watch the ICC Women's World Cup semi-final in Mumbai this year. So I'm really excited for that. What really draws me towards this sport is how it reminds me of my childhood. I started playing cricket when I was like 7 or 8 years old with my friends near my house. We had a ritual that we used to play this sport every day with our fathers on Sundays. Every Sunday at like 9am we used to gather in the colony playground and we used to play cricket. It was really competitive but at the same time the competitiveness made the sport so engaging, so exciting for me. So it is a really cherished memory of my childhood and it just reminds me of the times when I was just a young boy. I'm not much older now but I don't have time to play cricket or actually any other sport anymore. I don't even talk to most of the people I used to play this sport with. So it's just a nice memory for me and I do think about it from time to time.

Yeah, I like playing badminton because I used to play badminton during my childhood since from 6th grade to college 2nd year. It is really connected to my heart because I used to attend a lot of matches and tournaments so I do my best and achieve district level matches as well as state level ranking matches. So it is really connected to my heart, I would really say that. And also I really love to watch while playing badminton. And moreover I watch through TV's especially those leagues and special trophy kind of matches. So other than that I used to coach junior or beginner level students in badminton. It felt really well and you know guiding them and teaching them how to be perfect is one of the special moment you really felt. So I would say in that way I really like badminton and yeah that's it.

    Band 6-7

Okay, so I like badminton. When I was in my 13 age, like when I was in my 14 or 15 age, I liked to play badminton in playing area with my friends. I have watched that some students and elder ones playing badminton very happily. So seeing them, I also feel that I can also play it. And after that, it will be my hobby. I like badminton because it's very special and easy sport game for me. And it's very interesting. It boosts our energy. And I think so that game badminton is one of my favorite sport. While I was in my senior secondary, it gives me energy, it gives me that feel that I can also be part of them. So I think that badminton is very well for me.

So my favorite sport is basketball and this craze for the sport began when I was 15 years old and it all began when we were together like when I was with my friends and we used to play during our sports hard where we would get about 3 hours for playing the basketball and it was so fun that the game wasn't much easier to score a run in that game was very much tough because you have to get it right and I enjoyed the part that even though we don't score much we enjoy the playing and without any tiringness without getting tired of academic stuff and without thinking of anything academic we play a lot during the basketball sessions so it was the only thing which was very good during the school times that we get to spend time to laugh to play and to enjoy a hill a lot of time even in that packed schedule of board exams.

I would say that my favorite sport or the sport that I like would be swimming. It's not something I like, it's something I love actually. I just love being surrounded by any form of water, be it sea, ocean or a pond, lake and that is one reason why I love the sport swimming. It's very refreshing and it's one of the best forms of exercise. It gives a full body cardio, so that is like a full body workout. That is one way I like to, that is one reason I like to swim. And another reason would be because of its therapeutic nature. It's so peaceful and relaxing and when you're in the pool, you're just surrounded by the sound of the water. There's a cool breeze, you're swimming around or maybe just standing and resting, you can only hear the water and it's splashing around and it's really just so peaceful. I love being surrounded by such kind of an experience. So one of the reason why I came to love this sport is probably because when I was a child, when I was learning how to swim, I drowned in a swimming pool and that was the most terrifying experience of my life. It's the most horrible memory but the outcome was something I love, that is swimming. I learnt how to swim and I'm forever grateful for that memory, for that experience.

I really like playing badminton this is my favorite sport and what is unique about me playing badminton is I play it a bit haphazard wise so that we have to run a lot and there is a lot of workout done already and this is also special because I play badminton with my only friend and we have a lot of fun and we connect very well this is really my favorite sport and also after I started playing badminton I lost a lot of weight which was very difficult before that so this benefited me a lot in badminton also a funny thing that occurred to me is I purchased a costly shuttle for playing and that turned out to be very bad and then I purchased the cheapest shuttle and that was so good that we played with it for literally a week every day we played in that week and it was really really really good so basically the price doesn't matter of the shuttle what matters is the skills and how you play it and how you enjoy it so I like playing badminton and I love playing it

One of my favorite sports which I still pursue till today is basketball and I play it every day in the morning from 6 to 7, there is a court nearby which conducts free basketball classes and I have been going there from the past 5 years. One thing I really like about basketball is it's a fun way to exercise, so I am a person who does not like exercising alone and basketball helps me to get this exercise my body requires in a fun way and one more thing I like about basketball is the collaboration and team effort which we have to put in it.

The sport that I really love and watch is Kabaddi. It is a national sport of India and my mom she is a P.E.T. full form physical education teacher. Since my childhood she trained me many of the games but I really got interest involved into this sport a lot. I used to play it with my school friends and this was played among a group of 7 people divided into 2 groups and we have to defend our team and we need to go for riding too. And this is a physical sport and it involves so much of strength to play this game. And it also mainly focuses on the unity that we have and the communication and the coordination plays a key role in winning any type of game.

I am really fond of badminton more than watching it on TV. I like playing it. I recently learned the tips the tips and tricks of the trade so I would say that I really enjoy it more because... I am really fond of badminton more than watching it on TV. I like playing it myself. I really like this sport because I feel it's a sport that people from all ages can play. It gives me time to bond with my son who is seven years old and he has recently learned how to play badminton and I could also play it with my spouse. It gives us much needed family time and as they say the family who plays together lives happily together. It helps in overall exercise and furthermore it also helps us create some cool memories for our kids and for ourselves that they cherish when they grow up. I also really like it because my younger son also looks at us playing and he also wants to learn. He has recently learned how to hold the badminton. Still a long way to go but I am sure and I am hopeful that one day he will also excel at this sport.

    Band 6-7

So my favorite sport is throwball. It is actually this game where the court is similar to a badminton court. I would say it is similar to a volleyball court actually because the net is kind of high like it would be in a volleyball court and like you just have to receive the ball in your hand. Basically the side you get, which hand you mainly catch it in, you throw it the same way, the same hand I would say. So you should throw the ball above the net, the ball should not touch the net and then as long as you keep the ball in the air, that's how the rally goes on and once it actually falls and touches the ground or you make any sort of foul, the opponent will get the point. That's how the game goes. So this game has my heart and soul in it because I was made the team captain in the year 2024 and 2025 for two consecutive years which is why I think I love this sport so much because this huge responsibility was given to me which I think that I did a good job in because all my teammates cheered me up every single game before and after no matter if we lost or if we won the game. It was all about the teamwork, the team effort, how we all encouraged each other, how we, you know, once we gain a point we always cheer up and once we lose a point also we cheer up. I think I really made some good friends, good relationships with my fellow teammates and my coaches, the time that we spent on practicing and going on match, the trip and everything.
