When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One of the most enjoyable places I have visited in the countryside is a small village called Sabutara located on the border of Gujarat and Maharashtra. I went there last year during the monsoon season with my family because we wanted a break from our busy schedule and busy life. The moment we reached the village I felt an instant sense of peace. Also the entire place was surrounded by green hills as well as small waterfalls. We stayed here in a small run by a local family and they treated us a warm hospitality. They even served traditional homemade food which tasted incredibly fresh and healthy. During the day we explored nearby viewpoints and walked through the forest. My favorite spot was the Sabutara lake. There were hardly any crowds so I felt calm and relaxing. I enjoyed farming and taking care of animals. It gave me a glimpse of a simple lifestyle that we rarely see in cities. What I enjoyed the most was the slow paced life. I didn't check my phone often as well as for the first time in months I felt completely stress free. The fresh air, natural beauty and friendly villagers made the whole experience unforgettable. Overall visiting the countryside Sabutara was refreshing and meaningful. It reminded me the importance of disconnect from our busy schedule. I need a peaceful break that's why I would definitely love to visit again.

I recently went to the countryside in my hometown. It is at the outskirts and I went there on the occasion of a friend's birthday. I participated in the various birthday activities that my friend's parents had organized to celebrate his birthday. These activities entailed horse riding, playing outdoorsy games such as cricket, football as well as enjoying the relishing the dishes of the countryside. One of the activities that I thoroughly enjoyed was how was horse riding. This is because this was the first time in my life that I was trying horse riding. However, I was terrified of initially getting on the horse. Later on as I started riding I realized that this is a very underrated activity and I would like to indulge in it more often. Though I do realize that horse riding is something you can only do in the countryside, it would be very difficult to practice this activity in the city. I really enjoyed this activity because it was unique from what I've experienced before in the countryside. Horse riding is not really mainstream in the city I grew up with and I liked the fact that this activity was helping me connect with an animal. I also liked the thought that my friend's parents had put into organizing this birthday party for him. Apart from horse riding, I also played some outdoor sports such as football. This was the first time again I was playing football and I enjoyed being a goalkeeper. All in all, I loved the time I spent in the countryside connecting with the nature, playing with my friends and being away from my phone.

I visited Japan in the summer of 2024 with my family and my brother. It was an amazing experience in itself. The countryside was filled with beautiful mountain ranges, waters flowing from high altitudes to low altitudes. The place was filled with little coffee shops, bakeries, stationery shops and much more. I like to carry a journal with me everywhere I go and during this entire trip I remembered just trying to jot down every single detail for how beautiful it was. In moments like those, I was reminded of a quote by Ocean Byung which says, It's beautiful here, here, that's all I want to be, I promise, unquote. I would like to recommend visiting the Japanese countryside to anybody who's fond of solace, tranquility and peace. It really brought up this feeling of ecstasy and this pathos within myself that made me realize of how beautiful life can be in moments like those. It was, and to conclude I would like to say, it was an experience that I will never forget.

Adirapilli is a mountain area situated in the Western Ghats which is surrounded by tea and spice plantations and small hamlets. It is a lush, green and serene setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It provides a calmness and tranquillity which adds to a person's peace of mind. I visited Adirapilli during a rainy season in the month of June, the year 2024 with my parents, my younger sister and my brother-in-law. It was a beautiful experience. This was one of the events that I had to do which was on my checklist for a long time. So I was so happy for finally achieving it or making it happen. And when we went there, it was much more from what I had expected. We visited Adirapilli on a very cold and rainy day. It was raining cats and dogs and we were getting down to see the complete view of the waterfalls.

I recently visited Madikeri that is situated in the southern part of Karnataka. Madikeri is a place where people come from all over the world to enjoy its natural beauty. The nature in Madikeri is very pleasant. It is extremely beautiful to watch the big banyan trees and the bamboo forest. There are numerous places in Madikeri to visit like the Nisargadama which exhibits the traditions of Kurgs who live in Madikeri. In addition to that, there is also a temple in Madikeri at the highest hill point i.e. Talakaveri where people worship God Shiva and Ganga Devi. The weather in Madikeri is very cool with tiny droplets falling from above all the time. The best thing about the trip was that I really felt it very rewarding and a refresh from my stressful work. I could unwind myself from a slight depression.

A place that I visited and enjoyed the countryside was in Andhra Pradesh when I was going to visit my great-grandparents who lived in a tiny town known as Maidakur. I really loved staying in the countryside more than a city because it was really calm, it was really beautiful, it had a lot of plots where farmers were growing crops which you don't really get to see in real time or like in cities. Further, I loved the type of food that we ate. These were more focused on simpler cuisines and rather than your normal Italian, Mexican, Chinese you get to experience the authentic cuisine. I got to experience the authentic Telugu, Andhra cuisine where a lot of spice is involved. This additionally made me realize that I love spice. It's something that I think is within my genetics but yeah, I loved the food that was given. I also witnessed how they were making pickles. I haven't seen this because I've been living in the city quite since young so I saw how they were making pickles, how they were prepping, how they were making sure to not have any water involved because if a speck of water, if a droplet of water falls into the container your entire pickle and fermenting process is just ruined. I also saw how they get turmeric.

One of the best places that I have ever visited in the countryside is a place called Kutch. It's a very small and in a very remotely located place in in Gujarat in India that is in the westernmost part of the country and it was in the year 1999 when I had just completed my school and I was there with my sister who had just got married and I had just accompanied her to her in-laws place there. And the best thing I liked about the place was because it exposed me to an entirely new culture because I come from the northeast and going to the extreme west part of the country and to have you know to come in contact with those the people over there with the culture, the language, the food, the cuisine and their habits and the traditions it was amazing. It was completely like I've been you know deported to a new world out there and the best thing which I enjoyed was riding the camelbacks because over here as I was a city girl I was never used to seeing even camels over here in the city but in Gujarat or in Kutch practically I found people riding camels and that was something very amazing and one more thing which I really was fascinated was when I saw the night sky. At night the sky was covered with stars, billions and trillions of stars across the night sky. It seemed like the whole world had been enveloped by a blanket of stars. Thank you.

So, I want to share my experience of visiting to Himachal Pradesh last year. So, on the starting of the last year, on February, I visited Manali. I took a tour of Manali, Shimla and Kasol. During the tour, we visited various places that were present on the sites. The special attraction of all was Manukaran Gurudwara at Kasol. The most fascinating thing that I liked about our visit was we got to experience our first snowfall of the year that day. Another special experience of people enjoying the first snowfall of the year. The people were so happy to see that they started dancing on the local music and traditions. I was personally very happy with the behavior of the staff as they helped us in planning various places to visit and the activities that we can perform on our visit. I also enjoyed various sceneries and there was one special place in Shimla where the shooting of 3 Idiots took place. The mall road of Shimla. We also did shopping, purchased various gifts from our families and friends and we returned back with lots of memories. Copyright© OSHO International Foundation www.OSHO.com

I went for my countryside holiday in India, a place named Kurk. It was so beautiful. I went there to relax, to enjoy my mid-year break from all the chaos and hectic schedule of the city life. I went there and it was so beautiful when I just landed to the airport. It was so lush green. We were having a rain and a beautiful rainbow. It was the first time I saw two rainbows at one time. It was so beautiful, so amazing, so breathtaking, spectacular that even after 8-9 months I missed that particular place. The food was amazing, the place where we were staying, it was a very beautiful resort. The name of the resort was Kurk Wilderness Resort and it has all the things, you know, the beautiful architecture. Not only that, that particular place Kurk has some beautiful museums, some beautiful lakes and amazing breathtaking view from the mountains. So, I really enjoyed my stay and I wish I can go again in my lifetime.

A place I visited and enjoyed in the countryside is a village in Darjeeling called Lepcha Jagat. It's in the higher altitudes of Darjeeling, away from the main city. The temperature is lower than its usual areas and it's also famous for the large pine trees surrounding that area. Some locals also say that during the night some animals roam around like panthers. I first learned about this place through some websites while I was searching for places to visit with my family during my winter vacation. And we spent a good week there with my sister and my uncle and aunt. And it was a wonderful experience. I would suggest everybody to visit it. It's out of the main area but a nice offbeat place to visit.
