When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I want to talk about a recent trip with my family where we went to Haridwar. We stayed in a very gorgeous resort which had bank of river just behind it. We played a lot of indoor and outdoor games there like volleyball and air hockey with my siblings. And we had so much meals together because nowadays, because of our busy schedules, everyone eats at different times. But when we went to that trip, we had almost all meals together which I really enjoyed. And there was the bank of river Ganges just behind the resort. We went there and played a lot and clicked pictures together and it really was an enjoyable and memorable trip. There used to be an evening high tea in the open garden there. We enjoyed tea and some cookies and had an evening chit chat session with the family. Everybody enjoys it. It was a really peaceful trip with my family. Furthermore, it was a religious trip as well. We visited the famous Har Ki Paudi and the Mansa Devi temple nearby and it was very peaceful and calming for inner peace. We enjoyed a lot. Overall, it was a great trip. I recommend everyone to have a trip with their family once in a while, at least once in a year. Thank you.

Well, with travel enhance our experience, so talking about myself, I also consider myself as footloose. So, if I have to talk about a place that I visited and enjoy in countryside, so I grabbed this opportunity to talk about farmland in a village that I visited with my family and enjoy a lot. Well, a couple of months ago, me and my family planned to visit my grandparents' village, so we can experience the culture of village and enhance our knowledge about countryside and rural area. So we visited our grandparents' farmland which is very beautiful and full of greenery that I obsessed with and moreover we enjoy a lot and I feel that the countryside is a best place. It's a peaceful place and it reduce our stress and mental burden of our day-to-day life and it also reduce our daily pressure. All in all, I would like to say that countryside area are peaceful and calm.

The place that I visited and enjoyed the most was Rishikesh. I love mountains and when it comes to travel, I always prefer going to a place that is hilly or it's a hidden station rather than a beach. I guess we went there, it's been a year we went to Rishikesh and we did river rafting. I had gone with my friends and not my family and my mom strictly said that do not go and do river rafting over there because it's very risky, it could be dangerous but I lied to her because when you're going to Rishikesh, it's a must that you should do river rafting so I wanted to gain experience, it's a lifetime experience. I enjoyed it the most, that was the amazing part of my trip.

I recently visited Gulmarg which is a small village that is located 200 kilometers away from Srinagar which is the capital city of Kashmir. I visited that place in June 2025. In Gulmarg I was able to enjoy a beautiful horse ride and a gondola ride. Gondola is basically a wire car where people travel from the ground level to the Afarwat peak that is approximately 13,000 feet above the sea level. Afarwat peak is one of the highest peaks of the Himalayas. When I visited Gulmarg, I really enjoyed the picturesque view and the cool fresh air from Afarwat peak. I was able to see the beautiful clouds just gliding over me and the very friendly people who made the atmosphere even better. I was also able to explore a small palace located in the same village. Additionally, I visited a Kadi temple that was located there. I really enjoyed the picturesque view and cold weather which was very refreshing for someone who lives in hot weather.

Every year, we always make it a point to travel to my hometown in Goa. This year, when we had gone to my hometown, we visited my father's village. The village is located deep between two rivers. It is packed with trees, hills and scenic views. It has many tourist sites and even a famous church. My father took me to the house that he grew up in. We got to see a little of what people used to live like back in the day and also of how my father grew up. We visited many people who were close to my father and living in the village. They told us about their struggles and how they overcome their struggles every day. We ended the day near the riverbed that is close to my father's house. We watched the villagers and locals collect fish and crabs. They even gave us some to take home. I am very grateful to have taken this trip to know more about my father's childhood and his upbringing.

So, in the month of March, around the time of Holi, me and my family visited a farmhouse which is owned by one of my father's friend in Bakura. Bakura is actually a district in West Bengal and we all planned to take a little family trip there for the weekend. I particularly liked that place because it is not a complete farmhouse yet. The farms are still being cultivated by the people there and we were a part of it. I had the chance to plant a few trees, those were mostly herb and flower trees and we also got to pet some farm animals like horses and cows and we even got the chance to feed them which was very exciting and we even watched a horse gallop along by our side and it was an exhilarating experience. I felt very close to nature and a down to earth feeling. It was quite an experience and I would definitely go back to that place again, probably during a cooler season because it was exceptionally hot during March. But overall the experience was quite life changing. I got to experience what people who live in the countryside deal with on a daily basis. It was really good for a change.

One of the most interesting places I have travelled to is Manali, a beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh, India. I visited it during my end semester break in April 2024 with my friends. We stayed there for about 5 days at my friend's house. The weather was cold and rainy which made the entire experience magical. We did a lot of exciting activities like rafting, solar and we also visited Rohtang valley. I also got the chance to enjoy local Himachali food and shop in the local markets. What made this trip truly special was the peaceful environment and the stunning view of mountains. It was very different from the busy city life I am used to. Also the bonding time with the friends made it more memorable. We had fun there and travelling to Manali helped me relax, refresh and create lifelong memories. It made me realize how important it is to take breaks and explore new places once in a while which makes you calm, stress free and it's necessary to take a break from your daily life.

Well, undoubtedly there are many, well I am a travelling buff, I have visited many places in my life, but today I would like to talk about a particular place which is none other than Ladakh. Travelling is like killing two sparrows with one arrow, it not only helps us to develop our mind-memory, but also rejuvenates us from mundane and monotonous routine. There are several reasons why Ladakh is on the top of my priority list because there are many pictures which I like. A couple of months ago I got a holiday of 10 days and I wanted to go to some place where I can relax. Then I asked my family members to go with me, but they were busy in their household chores. Then I asked my friends about it, but three of them agreed. So I know how to drive a car, so I took my personal vehicle with me. It took us 8 hours to reach there and we have already booked our hotel online. Then we reached there at 8 pm, so we rested one day at hotel. On the next day we went to hills and we clicked many photographs there. We camped on the top of the mountain where we enjoyed a sunset. There we can see solar eclipse. Overall it was a place which I liked the most.

A few months ago, I visited a beautiful countryside village called Mishobra located in the hill of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is a quite lesser-known spot about 10 km away from the popular hill station Shimla. The village is surrounded by lush green forest, apple orchards, and snow-capped mountain in the distance. It was the perfect rural escape far from the noise and chows of city life. During my stay, I engaged in a variety of activities. I went on peaceful morning walks through the pine forest, took part a short hiking trail that lead to a viewpoint overlapping the valley, and even visited a local apple farm. One of the highlights was simply sitting on the wooden balcony of my homestay, sipping tea and watching the cloud roll in over the hills. I also had a conversation with a few local villagers which gave my insight into their way of life. At night, the sky was so clear that I could see countless stars, a rare sight for a city dweller like me. I felt completely refreshed and recharged after the visit. I would definitely love to return and spend more time there.
